I keep a general gaming tumblr! Considering a secondary for FFXIV but I'm not 100% behind the idea yet.

I. Basic Info Characters: Bancroft Gairn Primary character: Bancroft Gairn Linkshells: --- Primary RP linkshell: --- II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I would consider myself a medium RPer but I think the definition of 'medium' varies from person to person. ANYWAY. The majority of the time I am OOC but I'm very happy to accommodate others, if you're ever in doubt just shoot me a tell! I promise you aren't bothering me. Views on RP combat and injuries: I like it and it adds a bit more depth to the game but I've never been very good at writing out fight scenes, so I'll probably try and avoid it but who doesn't love a good old fashion knock out brawl. Personally, I prefer to discuss the fight out with the other person OOCly so we're both on the same page if it comes to that. /roll adds a sort of fairness to it as well (unless you have shitty luck then you're just screwed, sorry). Views on IC romance: What do you mean this isn't a dating site. Romantic RP is a lot of fun but I don't want it to be the 100% focus of my character. I prefer that it naturally occur over time (even love at first sight can take time before both parties start dating). It would also be nice if we were familiar with each other OOCly but it's not a deal-breaking. 8) Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): HUGS FOR EVERYONE. 8U If it's plausible then I might be open to some family members but it's very difficult to get multiple people on the same page when you have a bunch of histories meshing together. Friends are great to have though! Views on lore: "Lore is there for a reason", but I believe it's also meant to be flexible and allow breathing room for creativity. But not if you're the secret Princess of Eorzea, daughter of such and such NPC, part-dragon with color changing mood hair or a Lore Nazi who nitpicks every little detail. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Whatever is fine with me. Like I said I'm pretty accommodating and willing to work with everyone's individual preferences. III. This is just from what I've seen/personal experience so I could be wrong! Everyone's different. Generally, most people seem to pick a hairstyle that is as close to what they envision for their character. I.e. Character A has long hair, they'll pick the longest hair style that is available. I've noticed some people tend to drop hints on their character's appearance if it's vastly different from their model. /em brushes their floor-length glorious locks over their shoulder. OR /em rubs the hideous, pus-filled scar covering half his face. Ew. Every so often a person will just whisper a link to a picture for a visual reference. This has only happened to me once or twice and has been when I had already been talking with them in whispers. Personally, I do a combination of the first two! People tend to catch on pretty fast and usually they'll imagine the same thing you do (great minds think alike afterall~). But to answer your question, just do whatever you feel comfortable with. It is your character. I don't think anyone will mind and if they do just punch them cause it's not their character. :3

I kinda wish I was doing fashionable digital media too. I just don't have a tablet. From personal experience, artists who use traditional media tend to be rare so that just makes the pieces all the more amazing and enjoyable for me. :3 It is possible to draw with just your mouse alone, there are some digital artists who produce stunning work without a tablet! Don't let it hold you back from experimenting!

Wow! What a unique and wonderful style! I love the heaviness in your lines and the fact you took the time to draw the lines in their hair (which makes me jealous, I don't have the patience or a steady enough hand~). What I like overall is the attention to detail, the steaks of color for their hair and the details in the floral accents in the Abaigeal piece. :3

Aw, I like this! You did a great job with the details, especially for her eyelashes and the coloring of her hair and the fur for her ears. I really, really like how soft it looks with the lighting you chose.

These are very lovely! The sketches in pencil are wonderful and I love how smooth the lines are. I'm really impressed that you can get such great quality with the colors, especially in the shading of Teveriel's coat and the dirty fingers for Nahue. :3 Keep up the great work~! Hello, everybody! My name is Knave and I am not all that new to FFXIV. I played a bit back when it first came out (and didn't require a sub, gasp). My buddy (you know him, girly name, goes by Merri) finally won after years of pestering me and I signed up for the new beta! Hopefully, I will be able to get in and see all of the new changes and maybe make new friends. --MMORPG background Many! Formally, I'm a retired heavy Raider from WoW turned casual gamer. --RP experience How do I get RP experience, can you grind it? I've RPed before, mostly in small groups or sitting in a dark corner of a room to watch others but I am in no way an experienced veteran! --Character ideas/info I (hopefully) will bring in a male miqo'te. He's rather rough and calloused with a personality to match. Recent events have pushed him out of a mountainous region in the Garlean Empire to travel south to Ul'dah with a letter in hand for someone who he only knows by name.. In short: If Highlanders were miqo'te.. he'd be that. And big bushy dwarven beards. --How did you learn about the coalition? Magic~ --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? D. All of the above. --Anything from real life you are comfortable with sharing? The Full Cold Moon was an amazing event I know Oria spent a ton of time on. To be honest, I've never seen such an awesome event with give aways and everything. I'm just kinda throwing this together but I hope everyone will have a great time.
