It was in this direction that Khy walked, barely making sure to check on the state of their washed-up cargo. It seemed the Au Ra woman had his best interests in mind, already. Khy seemed only concerned with moving forward and putting distance between himself and that beach. He would stop only to be sure his impromptu companions were still following, before continuing. As the quaint village came into view, Khy wrinkled his nose at the myriad of scents mingling with the salt air. His eye followed the trail of smoke towards the man standing against the nearby tavern- the closest person Khy could reach. "Sir?" He said as he approached. "Do you know of a doctor in this village?"

The willowy Khyran, meanwhile, did not busy himself with interacting with the newly awakened survivor. He was watching the bushes again, with his lips pursed and his hands stiff at his sides. "...We should move." He said, with a thinly veiled sense of urgency. "There's a village not far from here, to the south." He pointed down along the shoreline.

The corpse-thin man feels a pulse upon the washed up man and straightens, looking at a loss. He glances around, at the surrounding trees and against the shore. His single eye lingers but a moment on the surrounding shrubs in a wary squint, as if he thinks he notices something unusual, but he is soon distracted by the approaching female. He steps aside to allow her assessment. He seemed faintly surprised to see her, but did not inquire any information of her. "I do not. I believe he is victim of a shipwreck." Khyran explained quietly. "I am no stranger to it. Years ago, I survived a storm which destroyed my ship. I washed up just as he." Khyran knelt down near the man. "If he cannot be awoken, do you know of a safe place we can bring him? I admit... I do not come here often." He gave the bushes another wary glance, lips pressing into a line.

A man was walking along the shore. Greasy, black hair framed his skull-like, unshaven face. Every inch of him looked more bone than flesh, and his clothes looked a few sizes too big for him. They billowed in the sea breeze. He spied a figure sprawled on the shore, and approached slowly. "A corpse," he murmured as he walked. "...Or...?" He knelt down next to the fellow and placed his hand upon his brow.

I'm intrigued by what I've read. If you've any inclination I'd love to have Khyran meet your character. The link to his bio is in my signature, if you're interested in him at all. We have similar levels of RP experience and similar interests, I think. As a sidenote, Khy spent a lot of time in Limsa in his youth, though he was born in Costa, he moved between the two cities often. Could be that he might have met her at some point? And if she's particularly keen on paying attention to gossip around Limsa and the Costa area-- she might have even heard of his criminal history and that he's wanted for "unspeakable crimes." [OOC INFO] Timezone: EST Job: 9-5 Weekdays Typically Playing: 6-12 Weekdays, Sporadically All Day Weekends Skype: Aeolian.Mode (please tell me why you're adding me before you add me on there- I get spammers a lot.) Note: I am married, and my spouse plays with me sometimes. His character is Selthrana White. [RP STYLE] Ultra-Heavy RP. Meaning, I will only level or quest if there is absolutely nothing else to do and no one online to RP with. As soon as an RP buddy logs on I'm usually going to ask if they want to RP, and if anyone asks me to RP, I IMMEDIATELY drop what I'm doing. My philosophy is that although the game is fun and entertaining, this form of entertainment does not last, and at the end of the day you're left with the experience of playing a video game. But roleplay, and the stories you tell, and the friends you can make can last a very, very long time. Hence, I subscribed to this game for the sole purpose of storytelling. But if you're a more light RPer or enjoy playing the game more than I do, I understand completely. Just be sure to let me know you don't feel like RPing if I ask and we'll be a-ok. Between having a job, being married and working on a webcomic, though, I've got a lot of things I could be spending my time doing, so I operate best on scheduled RP outings rather than indeterminates. As for lore, I try to respect the source material of the world I'm playing in as much as possible, while allowing some elbow room for tasteful lore-bending, or, rather, "expanding" on content in the lore that is otherwise left vague. For example, Khyran turns the bad memories of other people into materia, and considers himself a therapist. However, you won't see him cloning anyone or building a successful ISP anytime soon. [PARTICULARS] As a storyteller, I'm interested in plot, conflict, and character development. My character will change. He is very opinionated. He is very motivated. The me conflict with his interactions, the better. But I'm not talking about him bumping into a "MUAHAHAHA EVIL VILLAIN", I'm talking about conflicts, even with his friends. People who disagree with him. People who try to crack his shell. People who he wants to 'help' but don't want it. But hey, nothing wrong with making an enemy or two, either. My character's backstory deals with adult themes. If you're under-age, please inform me if we RP together so I can make sure I don't RP any sensitive material with you. Similarly, if you have any triggers, please tell me. [LOOKING FOR FC] I'm extremely particular about RP guilds, and I am tentatively looking for an FC. I might end up not leaving the one I'm currently in at all, however, but I also want to be sure I'm not missing out on an FC that is more fitting to my playstyle. I'm not looking down on any other FCs out there, I'm just putting out what I'm personally interested in. A few particulars about FCs that I would be looking for- and these particulars are a "must": 1. Small active playerbase. I'm talking 10-20 members tops and not actively recruiting. 2. Weekly events that typically center on a developing guild storyline. One-shot, self-contained stories are fun, but I prefer a developing, over-arching plot. 3. Members who prioritize RP over gameplay at almost all times. 4. Mature adult RPers with fleshed-out characters. Respecting the OOC/IC boundary is a must. 5. And an OOC friendly atmosphere. It's highly possible that such an FC doesn't actually exist, and that's fine. I've merely listed what I'd consider the ideal for my playstyle, and beyond going to a private RP server in another game (which I considered but ultimately decided against for the time being), this would be what I'd like to spend my time in. If there isn't one, I'm perfectly happy where I am now.

Hi! OOC, my name is Aeo, and I'm a super-heavy RPer. I'm brand new to FFXIV but not to RP. I've played various MMOs for about 10 years, RPing heavily in all of them- but FFXIV, I joined the week before Heavensward dropped. This has come as both a blessing and a curse. In the time that there hasn't been any RP going on due to the newness of the content, I've solidified my character, brushed up on lore, and played around with the game's mechanics and did a few quests. But my real passion is, and will always be RP. I'm the type of person that is PVE-curious, but as soon as someone asks for RP or I see somebody IC walking around, I immediately drop from my OOC questing-mode to IC-mode to interact. I LOVE telling stories, making plots, and throwing my character at other people's plots. But everything is a bit intimidating and it's difficult to find random RP when I feel really shy around this strange new game. So I hoped someone here might be interested in him. His name is Khyran Oisin. His (very WIP) profile is here. Here's a drawing of him I did: [align=center][/align] He's an oddball, and he wants needs a friend. Or several. He's got a lot of secrets, but he seems to have a good heart. Maybe. One of those secrets that could be a plot hook for someone? He's a traveling healer of a very specific kind: he finds people who are suffering and desperate, and offers to take their worst memories and turn them into materia, to be physically stored away elsewhere and no longer a burden on the mind. Don't worry- he keeps them very, very safe. He's only recently making himself tentatively known, because his craft is understandably frowned upon by some, and considered a taboo to others. But maybe your character might have caught wind of his abilities? Need a memory taken away? Or maybe you've got a beef with him? A bounty hunter, maybe? His face has also been on a few wanted posters around Costa del Sol about 4 or 5 years ago, and although the search for him has somewhat faded, opportunistic bounty hunters might be able to catch a whiff of him. Khyran Oisin is rumored to be a very, very notorious and depraved criminal, but the rumors don't agree on what, exactly, his crime was. Plus, he's kind of hard to miss- a one-eyed, skeletal little man who is often seen hanging around slums. Let me know if you'd like to plot with him!
