  1. Nope, Nergui's believes everyone should be able to solve their own problems. People are nice and all, and if he happens to encounter someone in trouble, he might help, but ultimately it's not his problem.
  2. Hey there and welcome back! I look forward to seeing you around
  3. Hello there, and welcome! I look forward to seeing you around
  4. It had a little more. The relic quest was available, and you got your artifact armor. Coil was there, but it took a little while to grind tomes to be geared enough. Mythology tomes got you ilvl 90 gear, and until 2.1, you could only get 300 a week, so it was slow going. There's a little less in Heavensward, but at least roulettes let you grind more than just WP and AK @_@
  5. He sounds like a very interesting man to run into. Should he find himself camping in the wilderness, he could certainly encounter Nergui, professional hobo/mountainman with a animism approach to nature.
  6. Nergui Galjin, not as dour as he looks . Both Nergui and Galjin are names he's given himself. He rejected his tribe, believing them to be weak, and has set out on his own. Sometimes he works as a mercenary, mostly because he realizes that money is sometimes necessary, though he'd much prefer to barter for services. Since being forced out by the Garleans, he wanders about Eorzea, preferring the cold of Coerthas over the warmer regions of Eorzea. He believes that constantly challenging yourself is how to be strong, and that the comforts of civilization cause people to go soft.
  7. I may have missed it, but what exactly does he do, and where does he go? I mean, does he just fight as a gladiator? If not, what does he do the rest of the time? Since he's in the pocket of a wealthy patron, does he leave Ul'dah? He sounds interesting, and I'd certainly like to meet up sometime, Nergui could use some contacts too.
  8. It's an interesting idea, but I found a number of the questions to just not be applicable to Nergui. The tribal life he experienced is just to drastically different from the United States. In particular, questions relating to jobs and education. There really is no 'firing' a hunter, or really anyone in a tribe that's nomadic. Currency in general wouldn't really have been used much, more likely it would have been bartering. Education would have been largely non-existent as well, and while I could have answered those questions as no, I feel the difference in worlds isn't adequately reflected by just saying Eorzea instead of United States. On top of that, simply choosing not to answer those questions skews the results. There are now less opportunities to take a step back, or a step forward while still using the same scale. Interesting, but to really get a better picture of privilege in Eorzea, the questions would need to be more tailored to world we play in, too much is different to leave the questions as they are.
  9. Hey all! I've got a mercenary searching for work. I'll happily take almost any job ooc, IC, Nergui would very much prefer jobs that take him away from civilization, such as guarding/raiding caravans (he's got no problems with raiding), or scouting for an expedition, really anything outdoors. A little bit about Nergui, he's one of many displaced Xaela trying to scrape by in an unknown land. He's superstitious, blunt, and openly disdains money. He'd much rather be paid in services, favors, chickens, etc. While certainly not unfriendly, he's wary of the people of Eorzea, because he does not understand them. I am of course open to any kinds RP, not just jobs

    Hello

Hello everyone, I've been around on the server for about a year and a half, but after a period of inactivity I am returning to the game and ready to get back into things. Some of you may remember some of my characters, those being Alexei Volkov and Oubliette Crow. Currently I'm playing a Xaela by the name of Nergui Galjin, he's given up clan and name by choice, and is currently wandering about the Coerthan Highlands and Dravania, taking work as it comes, and shunning the decadence of the civilized world. I'll probably post something in making contacts later, I look forward to seeing as many of you as I can. Cheers!
