1. Paladins that ask for mage's ballad. *head explodes*
2. While I understand the bit about people throwing a hissy fit when you don't have protect, the rest still makes little difference, imo. It's Sastasha... you don't need Eye for an Eye... nor a cleanse. (OR for that matter, protect really, but yeah...) Selene or Eos both have Embrace out the gate and that's really all you need. They go around hugging people who are hurting while you're placing your dots and spamming ruin. As opposed to being on CNJ where you, personally, are spending time casting that cure, fiddling with switching in and out of Cleric Stance, and casting a DPS spell somewhere in between. I mean, it's neither here nor there as it's only Sastasha normal... but SCH still, in my opinion anyway, wins out over CNJ/WHM at that level. Yeah, I think this is a difference in playstyle. Personally, I queue as healer because I enjoy healing - I find it satisfying to have tools to solve problems, and frustrating when literally every single one of those tools is arbitrarily taken away from me. "This makes it easier for you to DPS" isn't something that makes a healing class appealing to me, like, at all. And I can understand that. Though I'm not saying that it "makes it easier for you to DPS" (although, obviously, it does). I'm more coming from the angle that if you go into a dungeon and have 3 DPS instead of 2... in most cases that dungeon will be done faster and you can go about your day.
3. While the rest of your story was entertaining, this very first line confuses me. Why would you go as any other healer class when with SCH you literally let the faerie do all of the work for you, effectively letting you become a third DPS... Or even just a lazy shit that watches YouTube while your faerie does all the work. I mean...once WHM has regen, then yeah I personally switch over. But SCH all the way as, again, the faerie can literally take care of the healing while you sit in cleric stance and DPS the whole time. At Sastasha, I can cross-class Protect or Cleric Stance. Most groups prefer you to use Protect and throw a hissy-fit if you don't. Selene's signature abilities are also locked out (Sastasha caps at 18; she learns her third ability, the AoE cleanse, at 20). Which means no cleanse, and no speed boost. Whereas CNJ/WHM has Protect and Cleric Stance and Medica and Esuna, all natively, all available in Sastasha, and, last but not least, you can cross-class {Eye for an Eye} (which you don't get as SCH until ACN-34). So yeah that's why. Especially when the chance is so high during early dungeons of getting a brand-new, shiny, Genuine Leafling group who are going to cause a lot of problems just by virtue of never having done it before. If you're queueing specifically for Sastasha (and/or Tam-Tara), I don't think I could recommend taking SCH if you can go as CNJ/WHM instead. I play SCH because I enjoy its versatility - but the level sync in Sastasha preserves absolutely none of that versatility whatsoever. While I understand the bit about people throwing a hissy fit when you don't have protect, the rest still makes little difference, imo. It's Sastasha... you don't need Eye for an Eye... nor a cleanse. This is coming from a person that much prefers WHM out of the healing classes. For what little that matters.

5. Wow! What a month! We've had a slew of applicants join us... and each one has been amazing! We were also one of the lucky few companies that managed to grab a plot during the 3.3 land rush! Come visit us in the Lavender Beds, Plot 16 of the 12th ward! Due to the large influx of recruits, we had our doors closed for a while there while we made sure that everyone felt at home and part of the company as a whole, but now... Our doors are open again! Come join us for weekly events! We also take on in character hunts and leves throughout the month! Beyond that, RP is a constant occurrence throughout the week as we build personal and company stories alike! We also dig into the PvE side of things! Maps, dungeons, raids, helping each other level... we do it all! If interested in joining the madness, visit our site for more details and/or seek out Roderick Blackstone in game!
6. Personally didn't feel McCree or Widowmaker needed nerfs... well, maybe Widowmaker a little... but certainly not the BAMF Cowboy. If anyone needs any nerfing, imo it's Hanzo or Mei. But... that's just me, I guess. *shrug*
7. Emphasis mine. Unless I missed something in the cinematic/text... the WoL no longer has the eye. When he's flying next to Hraesvelgr in the goofy cutscene at the end... I could've sworn I spied his eye returned. Again, perhaps I saw wrong or something... or just missed something in the text. Either way, the WoL is a blizzard of snowflakes that will surely have some way to defend himself from the evil plans of the WoD. Edit: Just went and rewatched the cutscene in mind (Litany of Peace #4). He has his left eye once more.
8. That's not creating new currency. That's circulating currency already in existence. If the airship ventures brought back gil itself, then what your saying would be true. But since you're taking items brought back and putting them on the market board, that's just gil changing hands (save for the tax which is a negligible sink if you care to call it that).
9. Haha, was it on the Numbani map? If so, I may well have been a part of that. That was quite enjoyable, to be sure. Then we got switched to defense afterward and did a 6 Torbjorn defense. It was glorious. If you play on ps4, then maybe it was you! I didn't get any kills in that game and it was over in about 7 minutes. Ah, no... PC master race. Heh.

11. In an attempt to save visitors to this page the trouble of having to scroll through every reply, I will duplicate the update post here in the first post, especially since our company has undergone a LOT of changes to the point where the first few posts no longer apply at all. Every edit will have the date of the update listed. I will also spoiler the original post as per my understanding of this forum's rules regarding blanking/changing posts(mods feel free to correct me). Update: 8/15/17 The company is still here – alive and well! RP is back in full swing now that the large majority of members have pushed through the content available with the expansion and subsequent patches. IC: Another successful moon under our belts. Contracts are getting done in a timely manner and our members are getting paid for their services. It appears there may be an unforeseen connection between some of our contracts that we are now investigating in hopes of finding out the connection and meaning. We are still welcoming more hands to join on with us as we take on more dangerous contracts for more lucrative pay, as well as investigate the unknown corners and cracks of the world to find what mysteries lay beneath. We have a particular need for those skilled in the medical arts, be they aetherical, physical, or both. We could also use a few more people that are skilled in artifact recovery and research. If this sounds like something that may interest you, we ask that you visit your local OIC and inquire more about our company! OOC: Again, we’re still here and enjoying all that this game has to offer! With the majority of our members done with the MSQ, a lot of our focus has returned to RP. Officer-led weekly events are taking place on a regular basis, but we always encourage our non-officer members to lead their own, as well! PvE is still a pretty big thing for us as well! We have a weekly “PvE night” (Saturday) where our company gets together to take on whatever it is everybody wants with regard to PvE. Sometimes that means getting our weekly Omega clear, sometimes that means clearing current EX primals for gear (and hopefully dogs), sometimes it means old primal unsynced mount farms, sometimes that means clearing out the older raids like Binding Coil and Alex… on and on. We decide what it is we do once all of our participating members sign on and vote. We used to do maps on our PvE nights, but that ended up taking away the majority of the time so we’ve separated them out and now do them on their own day. Our map nights now take place every Sunday, and we’ve had some decent luck making the big bucks across the board. Recruitment is still open at this time. Feel free to hop on over to our site and read through our information to get a better idea of who we are and what type of player we’re looking for. If you think you’d be a good fit, feel free to toss up an application on our site and we’ll be sure to contact you! Should you have any questions about our company, please feel free to contact us on our site, in-game, or message me here on the RPC! List of Contacts: C'vhan Tia Linette Syng C'lehna Rhek
12. Absolutely love the game. It will be sucking away my life when I'm not otherwise busy at work or with FFXIV events. As to the favorite heroes? Eh... I tend to stick to McCree, Hanzo, Reinhardt, and Lucio. That being said, I'm happy playing just about any of them as they're all fun to me in their unique ways.
13. Early June according to this: http://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/topics/detail/937a7ca2ad04f4064ca3dc95511be0e3a9153533 We'll likely get an exact date during the next Live Letter this Sunday. Not sure how I missed that page in my searches. Thank you kindly!
14. While all the talk of the hows, whys and such is nice... Do we have an eta for when this patch will even land? I looked around a bit while at home but couldn't find anything. Now sitting at work (yay filters) so definitely can't find anything.
15. Any significance/lore regarding the tattoos for hyur? I've looked about but can't seem to find anything about them. Just curious before I start tossing about some head cannon in my little circle of RP friends.
16. More housing! Yay! It's cheaper! ... I would say yay, but I can only see that meaning that every single plot is going to be gobbled up within 10 minutes again....
17. As obvious as this may sound... include your FC. Be open to suggestions, make alterations to whatever plan you have to be as inclusive as possible. It sucks being on the outside of a story arch that is labeled "FC storyline". Make it a point to include every last person in your company. Unless, of course, there are people that have asked not to be included/opted out/whatever. But yes, the biggest hiccup I see with these things is people claiming the "FC storyline" as their own and not being open to any sort of criticism. If you label it FC storyline... again, make it include the FC. Sorry... captain redundancy out.
18. Melkire beat me to it, but a quick google search provided much the same info: ToD is still to be used. For posterity and fun-ness: http://i.imgur.com/6XMaU17.png http://angered.guildwork.com/forum/threads/55d79980002aa82d01139a52-heavensward-monk-guide-by-akame
19. Any group at all that is able to do the second boss of the Vault even remotely competently gets my vote here. Namely: stacking the damned void ball things... or at the very least... keeping them to one half of the "arena" rather than all over the damned place. Sadly, I've only had maybe three runs (with PUGs) that understand the concept behind that boss....
20. The screenshot in the patch notes showed a series of ???? entries and the one moused over had a "Complete this achievement to unlock" subtext, but I'm wondering if the item-use ones are just going to be listed as "Use Scroll of 'Tenacity' to unlock" thing. At work, can't check, also curious, going stir-crazy. Pessimism says that they're likely crafted with Masterworks IV Alchemy. That's one of my fears as well. Locked behind some ridiculous 4 star craft with near impossible mats to acquire. My hope is that they are obtained through "rare" (hopefully more common than original atmas) drops from dungeons and maybe fates, one or two star crafts at the highest, maybe even some gathering ones... Perhaps even retainer ventures? Achievement ones would be fine, too, I guess... Maybe... But yeah, also at work. It's why I asked instead of googling for myself. (Stupid work network filters)
21. A good amount of these are fairly obvious where they drop or whatever, but is there a compiled (or compiling) list that you know of as to where these drop (or are crafted or whatever the case may be)? (Yes, I realize it's patch day... So much content to deal with ermagerd!)
22. Ouch... why are you so mean? But yes, as Warren pointed out... even defensively (now) paladin doesn't really outright beat the other two tanks. I miss my sword and board.
23. One could argue that because you are using the "lesser" of the three tanks and still doing well enough that you know a fair bit about tanking. Trust me. I dislike the stigma against paladins as well. It was once my main. I switched to DRK because of the numbers and the fact that, as of right now, it is more fun to play, imo. Perhaps the "fixes" in the upcoming patch will put PLD on par or above the other two.
