Ah, that as shame, well, thank you kindly for replying. I told him to just put "fifty in Hyur years" that way if they age about the same as a Hyur, its still correct, and vice versa.

I'm helping a friend with a story, and I was wonder is there any mention of how Elezen age? Do they age slower like other elves from games, (i.e can live for hundreds of years), or do they age like everyone else? I'm looking around for such information, but have been having little luck.

Maybe I can provide some assistance? I am in the same boat as far as new characters within ffxiv, the way I had progressed my character was that since he was a male miqote, I started him off growing up with in a tribe in the black shroud forest, typically I read that most keepers reside there and are common for the activity as poachers. For Isa'to's case, with the tribe he resided, had migrated south, (a little north of Ul'dah) and witnessed a lot of the destruction to the south west, but the tribe ended up scattering, as a large piece of dalamund's debris flew in their direction, which had then separated him from his brother. So, I would assume that everyone who wasn't part of 1.0+, does not have to conform to being a part of the final battle if they don't want to. If anything they could have been simple travelers, or even commoners for that matter, maybe perhaps the scare of dalamund and bahamut kicked them into reality that Eorzea needs heroes. If this is what you did not imply, I apologize.

Absolutely nothing here. If anything, I'm just prepping for XIV, and using some my time to attempt to come up with some creative ideas to share with you all in the future. The only thing I'd have to question about that is if you can drop items, have them remain there, and if anyone not participating may move on over, pick it up and just run off with it.

I had brought this up during the linkshell leader meeting, so just going to post it up here for thoughts, and for ideas in case you would plan on using them in the future. What is a fair? A large event consisting of multiple groups providing different types of events and/or activities, open to any persons. Commonly, this is all a group effort consisting of two or more people handling one station/event/job (whatever you would like to call it). (i.e: Two people are working the raffle, four in the tournament, etc...) Kinds of activities found commonly at a RP fair: - Mini PvP Tournaments - Raffles - Fashion Shows - "Chocobo" Races - Rare Item Auction - Non-PvP Bounty (Aka: Find the person, following a set of clues.) Things I've pondered about since what we've heard about for features in FFXIV: - Crafting Contest: Participants are given multiple materials to make an order of items as quickly as possible with the highest grade. ________________________________________ If you have any questions or ideas, don't be afraid to share your thoughts.

No, there isn't anything wrong with being new, if anything, perhaps it would give some pride or enjoyment out of older heroes watching us grow and develop our character's strengths, personalities, and experiences. As well as joy of our own in partaking of future events.

I honestly can't decide on what I'd like to play now, but I did feel as though the monk was a tad slow in comparison to the paladin, buy yay game physics and weight XP. I may just have to level them all up, so I can be flexible for what is needed, that is IF they release a Ninja Job in the future, but as far as main RP job, probably monk would make more sense transitioning over to a Ninja. Out of wonderment, I would like to see if they would throw in Dancer in a patch or expansion, it would be interesting to see its mechanics for XIV...... or even Blue Mage.
