  1. It's one of those themes that end up badly done waaaay more than its done well. But go for it, if you have faith in the idea. Good RP will attract good RPers, no matter what themes you use. No one can tell you how to RP, but you literally can't go wrong if you stick to the lore.
  2. I get that, but at least check it out. There really isn't anything to deal with aside from clipping the mic to the headphones, and you'd be saving $100 if you buy the same quality in a headset. These are my headphones; they're on sale right now and are studio quality: http://www.amazon.com/AKG-240-Semi-Open-Studio-Headphones/dp/B0001ARCFA?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00 And this is a mod mic: http://www.modmic.com/products/modmic-4-0 Just an option.
  3. Gaming headsets are a sham, every one of them. You can buy a nice set of headphones and a mod mic for a fraction of what you'd be paying for the same quality in headset.
  4. I don't plan a character with the intent to kill them, but I'm open to it definitely. That said, I have killed several of my characters throughout my RP career. Some have deserved it, some haven't, sometimes people know OOCly beforehand, sometimes I keep it to myself until it happens. I'd say around... 40% of my serious 'mains' were killed or otherwise died before their time (plus one who actually did die of natural causes).
  5. I enjoy romance, but every time I give it shot in RP, it always winds up being a little disappointing. Maybe it's just me, but it always seems to fizzle or fall off. I much rather write it into a character's background if I involve my characters with another at all.
  6. You aren't! Also, I have a sort of irrational fear that my character won't be taken as seriously because she's not a serious person 90% of the time, or that she'll be seen as the typical eRP-bait because she's flirtatious.
  7. Got enough of that aesthetic back in the Ragnarok Online days. ToS looks alright, though!
  8. Goblet residents baffled at crudely drawn burglar's calling cards left in homes after a string of robberies. "I think its a drawing of a raccoon. And a poo."
  9. Ah ha, that's where I recognized the name from. Seen you in the Quicksand before. I'm going to stalk your wiki then get back to you. I'm pretty sure its bad luck to steal from a person with a disability, but hell, Wander is kind of a jerk that way. I'll pop in to the Wayfarer's rest some time
  10. Woo! Thanks guys. I'm sure you'll run into Wander soon... >;D
  11. @Ghostly Maiden: Excellent! I'll look out for you ingame or send you something soon! @Savo: All of this sounds great. Yea, I've been having the exact same problems with my walkups. Fortunately, some have been really great, while others are extremely touchy with the idea of theft. I'm 100% down for the possibility of Wander and Savo knowing each other or at least of each other, too. I'll look out for you ingame. Are you on Skype by any chance? @Whisper: I can work with that. More prospects when I'm not strictly ingame are always good. I'll PM you soon for details.
  12. Bumping this. So, I'm beginning to find that some people really don't like being stolen from as walk-up, so instead I'm hoping to establish a sort of whitelist for thievery. Anyone whose open to the idea of thefts or attempted thefts against their character or home, please let me know your characters name, general location, as well as your timezone so we can initiate something! And if you only want specific things taken or any such rules, please feel free to let me know.
  13. Wander's familiar with death. She grew up in Ul'dah and survived via petty theft, so she's seen plenty of friends and acquaintances get hurt or die in that line of work. However, in a way, I think living in the city sheltered her from actually having to do anything. Ul'dah, while dangerous, is relatively stable compared to fringe villages where one might have to hunt for their own food or fend off beast/men. Even if it came down to her vs another, I don't think she'd do it. If she were capable of killing, I think she'd have done it by now, considering she has a foot in the water already as a professional thief.
  14. I think the issue is that a meaningless interaction may as well not even be mentioned, while a significant interaction can be seen as selfish.
  15. If I didn't work weekends I'd so be down for this. Wander would be perfect for this.
