If I see someone wielding two swords and flipping around in full armor like wannabe Clouds, I'm out. ((I moved this quote from other thread because this seems more appropriate.)) I think two swords is just an okay limit. But carrying like same size or large sizes of more than two (like 3-10) would be a bit too much for me. Like regular two swords that Gladiators/Paladins carry should be considerably okay. I mean look at Gladiator icon. It does have dual wield icon there even though the game limits yourself to carry only one sword and one shield. It can mean that swords are clashing against each other or you can literally use light two based swords. As long as it's not as heavy bastard swords/zweihander carrying two of them and you are a lalafell/miqo'te or midlander. Also it is possible to carry daggers/kunais while having katana and switch vice versa like changing jobs/class. (But you wouldnt change your clothes vice versa like that unless you are Magical Pretty Girl Sailor Val or Mighty Morphin Power Ranger Val) Nevertheless, my personal opinion on carrying weapons would be two to it's limit as long as your character has physique to support it. It's not anime wise, but dual hand does exist. (In full armor too since LoTR supports it) EDIT: I can see someone pretending to be Musketeer at the moment and use dual wield pistols or really long rifle or double short barreled shotgun. But I am honestly okay with that as long as you don't carry dual heavy chain guns and shoot people. - Musketeers DO exist and there was no actual rules against one wearing two pistols.

As my other thread about "What kind of Roleplayer are you", I've noticed Coatleque's mention about anime and I figured I'd like to hear people's opinion about this thread on The other thread will keep going to understand player's values and behaviors, while this thread is going to mostly focus on how we see FF14 as, as if we prefer to RP realistically, or view it as fantasy in Lord of the Rings/medieval fantasy or anime/video game type - where we see ourselves to have considerable powers that seem ridiculous for anyone to have or have unimaginable strengths or immunity to everything. Now, not all animes/mangas and video games have some kind of unimaginable powers because there are those characters that are main protagonists and they just never had any powers and see that characters get really messed up. It's usually the opponents that have ridiculous powers and they have to figure out how to defeat it. Of course, we surely don't want people to use Omnislash whatevertheversionitmaybe or Meteor or Final Heaven. ...or even Super Saiyan even if there is such abilities in later expansion - or even someone turning into green particles and quantizing by teleporting everywhere and use a giant beam sword to cut down entire Ul'dah. What can we accept to be similar to anime style and what can we not accept? Do you view Final Fantasy XIV as something closer to reality to fantasy? Or fantasy to animated? Despite that the game is indeed 3D-cel shaped game with extraordinary creatures, and powers like limit breaks and spells given to players with unknown plots that cannot happen in reality, how do you see it? Does this affect your RP experience?

There are those kind of Roleplayers out there. Some like to roleplay that's in groups, individual person to person privately, huge events, or small events, guild based only or even small tavern RP. What would you be? Do you like slow paced? Do you like fast paced development? Do you like romance type or adventure? Battle/War? Tragedy? Are you also the type of roleplayer that only wants certain people in your group of circle to participate and not really want anyone else involved because of certain character development or just personal reasons? To get many ideas on what kind of RPer you'd be, it shows and tells what kind of person you might be OOCly too. But this thread helps us to get the idea to learn more about players and what kind of RP styles they prefer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ My preference is that I'd like to interact with many people as much possible. I try my best to include people out on something I usually plan on. It's just that people do seem to feel shunning me because it doesnt match with their ideas on RP types. However, I do love adventure/battle types of RP most of the time, and friendship social RP is perfectly fine too. Group based RP is fine with big events - but my biggest lowdown on big event based RP is that chats get clunky and it's hard to read eventually. I also love tragedy, and yet happy based RP - whichever are fine for me. They are considerably character development anyways. I don't really like to have grudges with people unless they really got me to the point of pissing me off OOCly too by their behaviors - but we are not perfect and we all have different tastes from each other. Slow paced or fast paced doesn't really matter to me - depending on how good the development is. But I do love slow paced, but some people do feel that slow paced can be a bit too endearing and can affect them from joining other events - so I sometimes end up doing fast paced events. I could do slow paced and get stuck in Coerthas for two months and never see the sunny days in Uldah or Limsa again. - which can be a problem in many ways. Conflicts can happen ICly, so I do like dramatic conflicts.

Quick heads up! If your character wants to be a remaining villain in shadows (as in not get caught or be exiled for the rest of your life from Uldah or any other city, please try to refrain from it. You can use your PC and just name the character differently in events if you wish.) I wanted to make sure that people won't get upset if they are really not ready to actually cause all four nations pissed off.

In honesty, my character's background is being shared individually through it's own original Wikia because I wanted to include NPC characters as a side story cast. Wordpress is nice too, but there were too many limits on what I want to do. Tumblr hurts my head. I dont know how it works :'/

Yes, as the thread says. I am planning to do a long term based event that will base on Starlight Event and during the 2.4 patch terms. Since rogues are coming out, I am sure everyone will go crazy on bandits. -It's like party crashing and destruction! \o/ If you want to play as Rogues or RP as Rogues and all other classes that want to watch all three cities (and Coerthas) burn by attacks during Starlight event - please post your response. Even good guys who want to be involved in a prior story to this can also be involved too. ((I'll make separate thread for this. Please do not post in here if you are a good guy and you want to sign up)) Similar to Askier's Crow hunting, the combat battle system will be based on dice rolls and it'll be a big event. More information are to follow by next week. But I really need people who will RP as rogues mostly to act as assassins, and some archers/marauders/gladiators/lancers/conjurers/pugilists/thaumaturgists (...hey I just listed almost all classes).
