  1. Im here for you. I enjoyed being a goon (and my dragoon outfit makes me look good), Ive healed so much its a good change of pace. Lets do sum roulette tonight after I tutor Franz in the arts of being a master crafter. Can't do tonight. Maybe Thurs-Fri night? Because I have another quiz to study for tonight. Also, I should start posting my screenshots soon.
  2. I won't deny that it is a great photo. /ego /ego /ego I do look fabulous ;D But really, I had fun doing dungeons with fellow friends and I hope to do it again this week if anyone's up for it.
  3. What a cute couple! Gratz!!! It was OOC I am going to sue Otto for this scandal
  4. I usually walk away from any ERP attempts because I find them to be disturbing and disgusting majority of the time. Not only that the OOC and IC communication always has to work out, and if someone behaves like they are upset at you OOCly, they are being dramatic queens and should really learn that in DnD, there are more drama controversials than MMORPG and yet they still deal with it and grow up. (Why? Because chances are that your character is dead through DnD and there is nothing you can do to revive the character unless DM says so) Demanding for actual Gil is messed up, and if it was me, I'd leave instantly and never bother to deal with any of that FC.
  5. Good News is Sindl seems to be interested too! I'll be speaking with him/her about how I and Sindl could work this out to make it interesting. I've already arranged a place for the arena, so it'll happen around November through December. This is like World Cup style, which means it's a long term project. I'll definitely be posting up soon. Chances are that I want the teams to be team of 3-4 people so everyone can gain something.
  6. This Saturday, I'll be trying to talk with most Grindstone staffs to work this out. Until then, keep checking this thread!
  7. I sent Sindl and Kage a PM regarding this since I was at work and I wanted to have an idea that's something of an annual Grindstone event that could be bigger than just standing outside of Central Thanalan - but make it into more of arena style like Wolves Den, and this is what I wrote on the quote to them (quote below). Please share your thoughts if anyone's also interested and want to see this happen. If I didn't PM you and you were involved in Grindstone as a staff member, please forgive me - the only few people who talk about it a lot was Kage more than anyone and he slipped the name of Sindl so I thought he was involved too! As I've said, I've got some idea to set up the arena and I think it might work. It's a big prize than Grindstone since it'll be an annual/seasonal thing depending on how popular it is. I know Grindstone is a very popular subject to many people out here, and I think it will work. Like a team battle to earn money.
  8. As of how it stands, Sultansworns could literally have Immortal Flame insignia to take Flame missions to assist the soldiers if they wanted to. But in the end, the priority is always Sultana before missions. If she tells you to be at the Royal promenade at once, you disregard everything and haul your butt to get there.
  9. I don't think anyone really acts like that way from most Sultansworns. We try our best to limit ourselves to be regular citizens just with shiny armor because we try to give Brass Blade players to get the opportunity as a law enforcement. However, there are -times- that we end up using our title to let everyone know that somethings are for the benefits of Sultana and Ul'dah. I feel that having two occupation isn't a bad thing. Technically, before Immortal Flames was formed - Sultansworns existed and they had their own brigades to monitor the city and Thanalans with Brass Blades. Their jobs got easier when Flames was formed, but during Carteneau the Sultansworns fulfilled their duties as a soldier too during war. As a matter of fact, Sultansworns rank should be as equal as Sergeant to higher rank for Immortal Flame should they work for both because of amount of trials and training they had to go through.
  10. Drawing. Or just taking photos around places. or study. FFXIV is the biggest reason I am not able to do anything
  11. I like Nanoha series too. I honestly don't care as long as you don't directly use Fate's backgrounds from the series. To my view, Testarossa is not a rare name in fantasy world lores. I can see it being used by many players. Fate? Some people actually have the name Fate in common world. It's not like we'll know that you are from alternate world. As a matter of fact, there has been many characters that has shown up doing dimensional traveling ie. Shantotto and Lightning. So all I can say is, go for it. Also we had someone named Mineva Zabi, and I didn't discriminate. I actually befriended the person. You try to change Super Mario's name in Balmung, I'll kill you >
  12. "Should we even bother to care about lore in this game?"
  13. It wouldn't be complicating it when I am indeed a keeper and has elezen name, so it is legit fine if I am right.
  14. Add me if you wish. My skype and steam is aldotsk
  15. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/forums/1245-Letter-from-the-Producer-LIVE-in-Las-Vegas Well it's that time again, but this time apparently they are focusing mainly on future patches and the final Coil etc. I made the following questions to see if they'll ever implement Musketeer/Corsair before 3.0 expansion because this class/job has been discussed since 1.0 and I really wish to see this happen before expansion. A little hope to hear at least. As for my second question was to be more lenient on glamour gear aside from class restrictions just like 1.0, and my last one was to see if new dungeon drop gears be dyeable.
  16. As discussed, I did make a character who is Keeper in the end with the Elezen name implied that her name was given Elezen instead of her tribal names while she resided in Amdapor. But considering that Sounsyy has mentioned, I might go with his/her theory about how the city fell apart. I'll give further updates.
  17. A huge difference between elitist and obnoxious people are that when elitists get ignored, elitists shrug off and walk away. -Not- constantly grief them until the others get annoyed to death. It's not discrimination, some elitist who think they are better than others when they aren't just literally making you look bad because they think it's funny. It leads to trolling and flaming.
  18. I think it's important to at least give a hint to -certain- people who to avoid. We had to report three people multiple times because their behavior is affecting not just me, but a lot of RPC members. It's hard to RP and they would keep spamming private messages. If we blacklist them they'd stand on top of us or follow us to the end of the map trying to find us when we do our session. These three individuals claim that they know about the lores, but they grief in ICly and when you are trying to talk to them, they walk away ignoring your talks. Then they come back snapping at you. They walk around in groups too. I think it's unfair for people in here to not at least mention names in here when they dont even want to come to this site since they call it "cancer and shame" to "true roleplaying" in Final Fantasy XIV. Otherwise more people will be hurt by this.
  19. [▲] Pre-Calamity Dialogue I am Adeledji, head of the Mirage Trust. You may not know of me, but certainly you have heard of the Trust's Platinum Mirage here in town. I sit on the Syndicate, as well. When Raubahn was jumped-up to a seat on our council for amassing a fortune in blood money, he dishonored us all by leaving the city without a word. Only when he learned of Garlemald's plot to attack did he return. He has since remade the Immortal Flames of old, 'tis true, but the army is as patchwork as a mummer's motley. What can they hope to do against the might of Garlemald? And now he would have us cast our lot with the bumpkins of Gridania and the scoundrels of Limsa Lominsa? It is enough to make a lord laugh! What have we to gain from this, hm? We of the Syndicate have a hand in politics, yes, but we are merchants at heart. Do not forget that. To us, it is plain that the other nations mean to use the chaos as an excuse to tap the coffers of Ul'dah.
  20. I believe this also still includes Teledji Adeledji, as he is an Ul prince. Good luck balancing that can of worms in a few patches. =x Funny thing you say that because Teledji and Lolorito work together, and since Teledji is considered 2nd heir to the throne, he can be the Sultan should Nanamo is missing or killed. So there is always a plot going on from Lolorito...
  21. This seems rather fun. I would love to try this method too in the future privately. Best wishes to your team !
  22. Considering that you ended up fighting Anelia in mind controlled Darth Vader mode during Saturday, she is now perfectly fine and is back doing her duties as a Sultansworn in Ul'dah. So feel free to walk up to her unless her combat skills intimidate you.
  23. But you have to understand that in Chain of Commands, Sultansworns cannot equally be on the same ranks to equally match with Syndicates. Even in lore wise, the Sultansworns are treated below Syndicates. Sure the chart is to show an example of martial force system in Immortal Flames and Ul'dah, but They did leave the giant bubble above because it is literally the high rank based organization. Syndicates are something similar to Prime Minister position.
  24. Someone requires some good spanking. Welcome back btw While you were gone, the criminals have been hiding in the corner because Ul'dah's finest have been sweeping them away.
  25. The Green is indeed as you said all related to Raubahn and Immortal Flames. Blue is all part of Royalist/Monetarist connected parties outside of military, and that works inside Ul'dah city. Make note that Sultansworn is still the highest comparing to Stone Torches and Brass Blades due to the amount of training and Trials a paladin would go through. In other words, while Sultanworns are Royalist political interest, does not mean they disobey monetarist sides of Syndicates because Syndicate itself is the highest political party that watches over everything below from the chart. Higher than Syndicate is Sultana. Black line to designated square is that the Syndicate of XYZ funds the ABC group. So Lolorito funds to keep Brass Blade intact, and Fyrgeiss of Amaljina and Sons fund Stone Torches. NOTE: Do you see the Sultansworns job description is to be shield for royal family of Ul'dah? It means Syndicates are labeled as noble and royal family to monitor Ul'dah. Which means Sultansworns are to protect Syndicates too. But should there be Syndicate vs Sultana, we know where our priority is.
