It's been removed from the actual gCal and not being announced in the linkshell. Sadly the way tumblr works is that any edits done to a post do NOT filter down to any reblogs of said post. I tried. Because of changes I was doing 3-4 versions of the blast a week and still the incorrect ones were circulating. So I had to take a step back and realize that corrections just were not possible on the medium. I toss out a small notice if something's been cancelled but there isn't much else i can do. That is why I include links to the event flyers so people can check themselves. One of the reasons why I try to get out the "deadline" notices that any corrections and additions need to be into me by the previous sunday to make it into the weekly blast. This includes cancellations. Anyone can check the calendar at anytime and send me corrections. Is the calendar perfect? By no means, nor do I claim it to be. I can only deal with the information given/found and I'm also human and make mistakes. Right now I'm already putting in over 20 hours a week maintaining the calendar (I wouldn't be surprised if it was closer to 30). It's a fine line between enjoying doing this and it being a major stressor. Right now I still enjoy it and so many people have been thankful for it that I think it's been a boon to the community, errors and all.

Any chance of this getting stickied?

Talked with Mhaya today. They are cancelling this for the time being until they relocate after the patch.

We had a great night last night. At least 17 match ups with several challenges as well. Nef got to knock Zarconen around before losing her other two fights. Managed to get screenshots this time around!

This is a cool idea. BTW, you say it's at: at Camp Dragonhead and the Gates of Judgement. Um, where exactly do you want people to meet up? Inside the camp first then go to the gates or meet up at the gates? XY coords are a real bonus when it comes to stating a location for people to find an event. Sorry, just putting this in my calendar for people. Also you mentioned the ball. Do you have time/location for that yet or still TBD?

when you say bi-monthly do you mean every other week or on specific weeks of each month? Due to the varying weeks in the month I highly suggest just doing "every other week" as it's a bit easier for people to remember (and have a repeating event on the calendars). Otherwise doing something like "The first and third Friday of each month" can work as well.

Thanks to everyone who came out last night! We had over 20 random matchups and several challenges!! HUGE crowd! If you arrive early, please feel free to RP as you sit/stand around (I might be AFK on the crates but just send me a tell). Tomorrow is fight club night! We'll be going till we can't go no more, even if we run into server maintenance! BTW, healers, medics and the like are all more than welcome to volunteer their services patching up the fighters. We've had tons of minor (and a few not so minor) injuries every week. Maybe some engineers? I've noticed an uptick in mechanical appendages lately and those could use some onsite repairs if folks are willing.

BTW, the first aid class on monday is welcome to take a field trip to Fight Club.. we always have minor (and a few not so minor) injuries needing to be patched up!

The longer this goes on the more you will probably have attend. Your first event was kinda last minute. Also, sometimes requiring signups beforehand can cut back on attendance. These are just things I've noticed since i started doing the calendar. If you make any changes in time/date make it at least a week in advance, preferably BEFORE the previous sunday so when I sent out my weekly calendar blast on Tumblr everyone can see it there. Sadly ICly non of my characters would be going up against a primal so.. yea.. sorta out of their league. Awesome idea though. Just give it time to pick up speed.

Ok. Since Tumblr can be overwhelming to many, I've made a separate Balmung RP Calendar tumblr that will only have posts about events on it. Go give it a look-see!

While we have a set start time, it's open as long as there are people around. Everyone's free to come and go, jump in or step out. Want to fight someone specific? That's fine. Just go grab 'em. We start it out giving out the matches simply to get things going. Don't have to go through us though when folks are done with a fight they can whisper me or Erah'sae to see if anyone else is open. It was great seeing not only people out there fighting but.. people interacting before/after their bouts. Pointers given, hopefully friendships made. And just to let people know we totally welcome spectators. The text spam is real because we seem to have anywhere from 3 to 5 fights going at once, not to mention possible lessons and side convos. I've been considering moving outside the city but really being inside it's so easy for people to just.. 'happen by'. Any SCAdians out there? It's fighter practice.

Yea. Hear all about how EU and EST time zones are sorta conflicting, but you PST folks.. that's gotta be murder really. We typically go till midnight or later if that helps?
