So I'm thinking just overworld mobs would be a bit boring so I'll just reserve this post for a rough draft of a simple system we can use. After a round of some back and forth with my cousin over texts, hashing out what the system's all about or how it works. I'm thinking an overworld rp boss and enemy placements with the use of Party waymarks etc etc. ~EDIT~ So we've got something simple down eventually, I just forgot to post it because WAR's so fun, but I digress. So since we're doing Overworld exploration we thought of something like an hp system. How it works is this:

Ned slipped on the marsh green shirt and soot black pair of pants after quietly leaving the bed. Hopefully he hadn't woken the blonde beauty he had spent quite the wild night with. Smoothing over his hair, making sure he looked relatively presentable and had not, in fact, spent a very sleepless night with the blonde beau, he turned back to see the madame still quietly recovering from their shared intimacy. He took a handful from the gil pouch that was his payment, just to see the sun glint off the shiny bits of currency before putting it back in. Binding the pouch to his belt he proceeded toward the door when an all too sweet melody graced his ears. A shiver shot up his spine as a very vivid image came clear in his head of what they had done during the night before. "Ned? Leaving so soon?" "Why yes, I am, Cecily." He gave a very direct reply, unable to face her. He chuckled, placing a hand on the door knob, though his grip tensed around it. "You know I've nev--" "You've never what, Ned?" He was cut short as he felt her frame drape around him, wrapping him in that warmth he was introduced to the night prior. Hers was a scent of a pampered heiress, dripping with much desire. Ned took another whiff of it, pivoting around and seizing her lip for just a few moments before breaking their kiss. "Never thought I'd actually make as much doing what I do, cherry." Giving her a wink, he turned back to the door and swung it open. "I'll throw that in for free. And no, I doubt you'd really like this Ishgardian vagabond to stay. You'll find a much better beau than I, mon cher. No amount of gil...no amount of gil will make me stay with you and give you the genuine passion you so deserve." ~Nothing much changes really. Except for a name and maybe some bits here and there. Yeah I just genderbent something that happened before and switched/renamed the characters.~

Gilles, Ninette's beloved chocobo, isn't a big bird really, but makes up for it in speed. It could be the equivalent of a very loyal dog having grown up with the heiress. He's a cut above most birds in speed and she prides herself for having raised (to a degree) quite the swift wing. In fact she felt a little lonely in Ul'dah when she had deserted, having resigned herself to the image that Gilles' thighs would be the first to go and everyone would be faster as a result. Except her. She'd eventually reunite with the bird through her father uncle's merchant contact stopping by in Ul'dah as the heiress started her side-career as an adventurer. They're near inseparable in the field and are generally a deadly tandem. There was much rejoicing.

So I'm pushing through with the Sunday EST night idea. 8pm! Because I think I want to nab you all and get this done before the holidays pull us into all manner of different directions and this gets pushed back even further. A rush job I know but I don't know how my schedule my screw me over in the future so yeah >.> Anyway this Sunday 8pm EST Idyllshire entrance! Even if Ninette hasn't made contact with you I'm sure you could just stumble upon the rest of the gang as they gather around or maybe you've heard/seen her go around Ul'dah and Limsa looking for people for an expedition. Could come in late that works too, catch the group in the field or something. And we'll be doing the rping in party chat so as not to bother the other people loitering around the place. Anyway *crosses fingers* I hope this turns out to even be a relative success! Unless monday night would work better? Blah all this conversion X3

Niffie..god Niffie. Case 1: When finding quite the attractive/sexy man/woman all alone in the Quicksand or even Ishgard for that matter. She hopes the former is as spicy as she believes and the latter isn't as frigid as her home in recent years. "So...how about it? Like what you see? How about you and I go around back to the Pearl Lane and get to know each other." She winks at [subject], biting her bottom lip and otherwise nudging and/or beckoning them to follow. "I don't charge much for lookers, if at all really, and let me just say you are spicy." She step back, swaying her hips with each step toward the exit that leads to the Pearl Lane. Thankful she decided to wear her skimpiest at this very moment. Now all she had to was hope she didn't waste her time. Case 2: When overhearing someone who sounds even the least bit Ishgardian or seeing someone blatantly Ishgardian. Usually characterized by cold stares that match their mother's love in recent years. Zing. "Oh the [monseiur/madame] is Ishgardian?" She leans on [subject], almost casually, like they've been old friends from way back when. "What got you to leave the Homefront? Gil? The Holy See, is it the Holy See? Bigots the lot of them am I right? Oh...oh you're a dragoon/knight/noble/someonewhostilllovesIshgard, right right. I was just testing you. Heretics abound everywhere gotta keep a vigilant eye and all that." She nods, patting [subject] and going on her way, thanking Nald'Thal or whoever that she wasn't gutted as a deserter then and there. Case 3: Any lone Quicksand Patron. Any at all. Have you seen people just clump around the back like they want to get out of the place but can't since it's only spot to look for rp? ;n; "Say what's everyone fetish with the Quicksand railings? I mean I've leaned on them myself but I really really can't get off leaning on some sandy stone." She leans right on the railings beside [subject] who is also leaning on the railings of the Quicksand. "Honestly, if it isn't leaning on these railings, it's sitting on the floor, leaning on the perimeter wall. I mean you don't think people have an aversion to chairs don't you?" Case 4: When someone wears their weapons with pride in public. Weapons or armor really. Usually weapons and anything that falls under the category of Tank/DRG gear. "You don't look like a Brass Blade. Get a kick out of showing everyone your compensation?" She chuckles, patting the steel plated [subject] on the shoulder and eyeing him or her from hair to toe. "Well since you're already raring to go on adventure or otherwise kill something how about you and me go look for your friends and we go do some errand I need to do. Maybe even a levequest that I've accepted but kept in a backlog for the past few bells? C'mon there's gil in it for ya." She steps away turning around the looking almost puzzled at [subject] shaking her head. "You don't melt in all this heat wearing all that armor? Not even sweating in the slightest? And don't give me that acclimatized horse shit you need to see a conjurer and wear less or you're liable to burn up and die before you can be useful to me." Case 5: Finding the finely dressed loiter around somewhere they wouldn't be loitering around. Her gil sense is tingling! "So, looking for a 'courtesan' today?" She walks up as casual as always to [subject], a quick glance to get a feel for the finery. "You're shit out of luck I'm 'fraid. I think they're all hired at the moment." She looks at her fingernails hoping they were properly maintained and almost discreetly glances herself over to make sure the dirt and grime from the earlier adventure was washed off. "I'm not one of them but I charge considerably less and we can go straight to delicious part." She smooths her hair, leaning back as if she could still lean back further onto the stone wall. "Oh? You're looking for someone to solve a problem, just so happens I solve problems too." She shrugged, laughing off her attempts to get into the clean and refined [subject]'s pants. "Why didn't you say so, let's hear it, I'm itching to sink these stabbers into a problem or, hells, even just go out and do something!"

Alright so I've gotten into contact with a few of you but not all of you. I know I'm still pending Steel Wolf, S'imba, Fyrilsunn, Sahb and Tywyll'ra. So never fear I've got my eye out on you, or well my search player out for your names! Also how does EST (this)sunday night work for you guys say like 8 or 9pm ish? Not that I can't wake up earlier than that if we need it to start earlier to accommodate all of us. Or I could divide this even further with two rounds of out of dungeon exploration, each round spanning one side of Alexei

I'll be doing both tracks. The second one might just be a bit harder to try and pull off. That said, how's sunday evening sound for you guys? That's hoping I get to contact all the ones interested in the first half before then. I'm having one of those lazy weeks so even if I have to skip sleep, let's do it. Also managed to talk my cousin in letting me do this for awhile sooo don't expect to see a Kurt Steel walking around any time soon.

I'm not discounting anything yet Mufasa :> I think we should figure out availability and when we can realistically do the dungeon run and then agonize over the classes afterward. So as I've said, EST evenings are literally the best times for me if not mornings.

The idea for Nivie was also to be a DRK/NIN at this point and not just using the darkside as a device to let her use her own brand of ninpo. Basically channeling all those mudras but saying dark aether fuels it. So I'm just stuck at NIN for the moment. If Steel's on board that means we have an excess on tank and dps department counting Sahb as well. Though most of it hinges on when the stars and our time align >u<

I'm thinking of splitting this into two parts. The first one which really is an IC tour of the Hinterlands, nabbing aether currents as we go along. The second one is the IC arboretum run. You can choose which part you want to show up for too :> She'll go around recruiting people twice. First for the Hinterlands gig, second for the arboretum gig in case we don't meet the whole 2 deeps, 1 tank/heal quota. Since i170 really is steep of a req.

I'd have put it on Library but I don't how that'd work since yanno, it's probably still warded by Matoya.

I was thinking more of finding you all one by one then having the actual meet up in Gridania since that's the closest place with the airship access and stuff.

This may also be quite the long adventure, if you're all up to traversing from Gridania all the way to the Hinterlands. But that's just a thought, I'm fine with porting to Idyllshire and starting there too.

EXCELLENT! Now I just have to find you all one by one and get you on board with the idea ICly! Which is sort of an adventure in itself! Though I should probably point out that I live in a weird timezone. Take EST and then add 12 hours to it. :< But I guess I'm not opposed to staying up stupidly late to make it happen. whoaoaoaohohohwoahodshdwdjasdjwooooh

B-but I'm not a nerd nor researching. I just...whip out the compass like so, sneak around whatever's near the current or kill whatever's near it. :<

So yeah, I'm still unable to fly in the hinterlands. I mean I could do it the boring way, yanno by myself using the aether compass. But then... ...an idea hit me so fast and so hard outta nowhere! What if I rp it all out. The hunt for the aether currents, then it goes from by myself with the aether compass to a group of minions adventurers helping me find it with an aether compass. And, as every zone requires a dungeon run to 'complete' the flying process what about the Arboretum? So there, an IC expedition to the Hinterlands to find the aether currents, crowing with an IC run of the Arboretum to either find the 'hidden' aether current in the zone or treat it like a sidequest because X person wants Y thing in the arboretum then they can go teach Nifie how to harness the Hinterland's brand of aether currents. I know, Arboretum, i170 reqs, it's a compromise. I don't know how plausible it really is to use the Library as the crowning run instead of the Arboretum. This is going to be a long shot isn't it? Anyway as to how people get in, post your interest, we set something up, Nifie approaches you with a deal ICly of course. Hits two birds with one stone since I can also figure out the rest of the party's schedules for when they're available for RP and find a common ground.

I don't ever think housing's going to be resolved soon. I mean the times I was dicking around in other servers 2~5mil and a presto you have a small lot, in wherever city you want it, to call your own. I think think the housing problem may just be native to Balmung or the other rp servers. Still that rent apartment idea is a cool one to implement.

Granted, the kind of character Nivie is may just end up shooting me in the foot and turn people away. Anyway, I hope roleplayer senpai notices me :3 So let's get down to business(todefeatthehuns), namely what I'm lookin for :3 Seeing as the prodigal daughter has come back to Ishgard, with no intention of really reconciling anything. I thought maybe some Ishgardian contacts would be nice. Bonus points for someone who could probably recognize the *ehem* third eldest and eldest living daughter of the house oirellain. If bastard mistake could be considered as one. Maybe some people aligned with Haillenarte may recognize the family name at least. High mortality, tip of the spear sort of thing. Any sort of mentorship with two blades or alembic would be nice. For the former, she's good enough with them to survive most things with a few scratches here and there. The latter, well you could say she's floundering around without the foggiest of ideas. Can you sense someone's darkside? Like say, for instance in the level 50 drk quest [redacted] won against you. Toyed around, opened your eyes, completely influenced you. In fact does a darkside really grow in strength? Anyway that's not the point, if drks can smell darkside like bloodhounds maybe that'd be another potential hook. Random adventures are always nice too. Like yanno..ICly help her track aether currebts all throught the Hinterlands. Maybe even an IC lib run at the end?

So I decided why not and made an account here too, like my cousin, the Forever FNG :> MMORPG background. Ehh I've played a boatload of f2p mmo's and literally jumping from game to game. Could say FFXIV's the first I played with a subscription, shouldered by me and my cousin now of course since we share his account. RP experience. Do passing glances at my cousin roleplaying count?
