I mean, she's got two missing teeth now, is wearing an eyepatch from getting her eye socket all messed up, and I'm sure next fight she's in, she'll probably be stabbed or something; So, short answer, yes!

The above is what I generally RP AND do in RL. Right now for RP, my main and her friend are practically inseparable. They've got a closeness that simply being friends can't describe, but there aren't any romantic feelings attached. We didn't start out the backstories that way, but the other player and I have been OOC friends for a while, so we quickly tweaked our char's stories to essentially share a backstory - They're a duo and honestly my most fulfilling RP thing at the moment. As for RP romance-y stuff; When it happens, it happens. It's never the focus, but when it does happen, generally it's because someone managed to beat someone else in a fight. Not so much for sappy, more for tsundere stuff. Ha! IRL, I'm a huge sap. I tend to be more comfortable with small gestures, rather than over the top professions of adoration. I'm pretty plain when it comes to feelings, and honestly would prefer close bromance than romance.

Self explanatory. Post gift that hilariously and accurately relate to your rp. When Tamm gets called anything but 'Tamm'; Tamm eventually flipping out on Shay big time; Tamm's awkward attempts at being cute; S'kye S'yoponi and Tamm'lin Maertena, always; NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!

Our characters look very similar, I actually did a double take! I'm also looking for contacts, ties, etc. My character's wiki is here. Tamm does/has done odd jobs in Gridania, along with so many other locations, as she loves to wander. It is entirely possible they would have met!

Yeah, I was going for a group - But I recently found a few people to rp with, which is cool! What I'd honestly like right now is a steady RP partner, preferably someone who also plays a 'not so nice' character. Not 'evil' per-say, but someone who is as morally ambiguous as Tamm is. Tamm is a bit of an orange/blue morality character and I thoroughly enjoy playing that particular archetype. So, ideally, I'd like to play with someone else whose character is also sort of off the wall, slightly kooky, possibly 'bad guy' type. What I'd also expect is we can chat OOCly about our characters, we do plots together, etc. Frankly, having a scattered plot line bothers the hell out of me, so having one central plot/character to do RP with would be fabulous. Here is a copy paste of what I'm generally looking for; Here are the kinds of RP I'm interested in: Slice of Life; Normal is fun too! Magic-oriented; My character wants to be a scholar, someday. Travel; We go places! Dark/Mature/Grimdark; I like stuff that a good psychological thriller, horror, or Stephen King novel might be made of. Not constantly though! Whatever else comes up along the way, as long as it isn't outlandish/saving the world type stuff. As a Note: I will say I am NOT interested in strictly eRP. I can't do Porn without Plot. As for me, here are a few rules I personally play by when I rp - I don't expect my RP comrades to do the same! I try to play: Realistically; If something horrible happens, my characters doesn't just pick up and get it together - They suffer. For instance, she killed a dude early this week. She's spent the last few days contemplating the value of life, what a horrible thing she did, and how sad their families must be. Even though, by all rights, it was part of the plot and they were essentially Nameless Goon #324234 - To her, it doesn't matter, she still killed someone! Like wise, if something great happens to her, she'll react accordingly! I try my best to keep a mental profile going of what a person might be like if XYZ happens when I RP, in order to give myself a very immersive experience. Within Reason; Communication is key. If we need to compromise on things, I like to talk things out like an adult. With Fun > Fact; I'm OK with bending lore a bit. I enjoy having fun far more than I enjoy being a lorenerd, but with that in mind, part of doing RP in a predetermined setting is following the lore. If a spell needs to be fudged, so be it; But playing Apocalypse Maiden is not a thing I try to do. Like I said before, I'd really like just having a steady rp partner. I had one in ESO, but unfortunately they quit the game, so now I'm back to looking for a RP partner/group. As a note: I'm also looking for enemies, relatives(maybe!), and everything in between. Yes - This is why, to me, illiteracy made sense for my main. Reading and writing just isn't useful to people living out in the desert, who aren't merchants or otherwise. Unless it is VERY basic symbols to just designate certain items - However, it can also be argued such things could simply be told in pictographs and the spoken word. Yes - Again! Tamm being illiterate has already sparked some cool character development and relationships she otherwise might not have had. Yes - That too! The 'dumb barbarian' steroptype doesn't apply here - Just as it wouldn't in real life. It isn't like some modern day, far flung colonies of humanity would be able to read. In fact, it is only in the last 50+ years that global literacy was even a thing. We have whole charities devoted to it in the US, for our own countrymen... and we have compulsory education. That doesn't make any one a dumb barbarian, though! I noticed this, too. Which is why I posted here, asking. I thought it was odd everyone could read and speak eloquently, when... even NPCs spoke with perhaps an accent, sometimes speaking like what we might imagine 'countryfolk' might talk like.

Honestly, that's how I say it as well. She's from a traditional tribe, then grew up amongst shipyard workers - Average citizens. Not scholars, the particularly wealthy, or any one with any real access to education. At some point, a kindly neighbor who DID know how to do such things, being a retired ship logsman, bookkeeper, etc. took it upon himself to teach her to read/write. However, it's all very basic knowledge - She can't do much more than write a simple letter; However, because everything the neighbor's knowledge was mostly navigation, sea-faring, and otherwise ship-related - Tamm's knowledge of THOSE specific references is very good. A fantasy novel, though? Nah. She doesn't know even half those related words. Does that makes sense?
