Now that I think about it, killing other things has a huge impact on all of my characters (even the not-so-nice ones). Would say that it's featured in all of their stories, really. Game PvE is set aside of course. Now that I'm on Balmung and actively RPing with other player characters, I don't think I want to know what effect a player character's death (if it were to happen) would have. T^T

This is less a list of OOC RP profiles and more IC profiles (I will clarify this in the OP, my apologies). So would General Work or For-Hire be a good label? Were there specific jobs y'all prefer to do? Let me know and sorry about the confusion! eta: I went with General Contract Work for the meantime. ^^

Thank you, I'll do my best! O7 I suppose to start, I would like for folks to either leave a comment here or message me privately with their FC's theme and/or services offered. (I will gladly include themed Linkshells as well. Please just clarify whether it is for a FC or LS and the contact person/people.) It is fine if your group covers more than one theme/service. As far as labels go, let's toss 'em all in and I'll see if I can consolidate themes later. Thanks! o/

Would folks be willing to post their info here? I'd be happy to curate said list. (Reason why I'm asking is that my FC was tossing around the idea of reaching out to another merchant FC for possible story arc collusion. Was wanting a better way to find 'em than just checking everyone's profile in game.)

To add: I think I'm looking for a list that would state the theme first, then whichever FCs fit that theme. Example: Mercs A FC B FC E FC Merchants A FC (this too) C FC D FC Taverns F FC G FC Performance (musicians, actors, circus, etc) H FC I FC Pirates, assassins for hire, etc.

Exactly so, in a bar for example, people move around, drink, check each other out... all those little things that bring the room to life As far as short typing vs long... I will wait if I feel something I said would elicit a response. It can be a bit difficult, I'll admit, since I'm usually a fast typer. :3

Any time PUGs listen to advice and appreciate it. If they try, I comm them so hard... <3 My new FC assembled a group and cleared Midas 1 & 2 (normal). Considering we all went in blind and barely geared (plus they are new to me and I've had a lot of trouble coordinating stuff like this on my old server), I see this as a great achievement. We'll take on 3 & 4 soon.

I'm running three characters and 2 story arcs; I wish I could be in two places at once sometimes. >< I have playable npcs and sometimes someone's story would be a really good fit for one of my 'npcs', I'm not sure how to go get the other character and pull them into the story. One of my characters has a loose grip on reality, how do I convey this without it being too much (and annoying to others)? What do I do when chatting with someone who includes the WoL story in their RP and I don't? I am able to play a lot every day, how do I deal with someone who doesn't and wants to pick up where we left off last time... when I've moved on from that point? I MUCH prefer seeing a few short sentence of emotes & dialog than some wall of text. Am I alone in this? Plus, I like including the little details like what people do irl (such as looking over a menu, describing body language such as shifting uncomfortably when questioned, or doing things such as adding another log to the campfire); is this seen as chat clutter and unwanted? I do hope to get to meet more people out and about sometime. I know it's slow going.

Thanks Nebbs! Yeah, I'm definitely seeing it as a drop in and out kind of thing... very short or one sitting RP that fills a bit of time. I'm looking mostly to help bring new members into things so they don't feel left out. Your suggestion to latch onto other established RP "places" is a good one!
