I actually might be able to provide a pre-made family for you. A few things... Story arc is in progress (not moving fast) Story is actually a bit dark, if that's ok. I have a brother & sister pair that I play (one is technically my main). He is still a midlander, she drank a potion to become physically Au Ra with the hopes that it would give her even more magic power than she already had. We are very Ul'dahn, but if you want to be in Gridania mostly... this can be easily set up due to the situation. If you wanna talk more, feel free to reach out to me in game or through pm here!

Feel free to check out the list of FC themes too! There's one FC listed under the Employment category, but the Adventurer and General Contract Work / For Hire groups may be worth looking into as well. I've tried to add in as many FC profile links too, so you can get more info on each group. Good luck! :moogle:

Patience is key. Moving to Balmung is a lot like moving to the big city. It's going to be lonely a while, until you can finally find your place. And it may be very discouraging for some time. I went through this myself; I had a character on the server already when I transferred my main and a few alts. My Balmung native was well liked by those I knew... my transferees... weren't. lol. It's been a few months and I'm just now starting to feel more settled. The Quicksand may not be ideal for breaking into RP and making good friends on the server. I mean, you may get lucky, of course... but it's like any RL bar or club, people are there to pick up other people, see and be seen, and may not always welcome some random horning in on their gig. >.> Like others have suggested, watch for player run events and attend those. Check out people's FC info while there. If someone seems interesting and their FC sounds like it might be a good fit, go ahead and try to apply if they are accepting apps. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't work out, just keep trying. On a side note, I found my FC from a lodestone blog post. May be worth checking that site as well.

I remember Wild Arms coming out and being the game to play while you're waiting for VII to be released. It's still my go-to game for when I really just want to chill for a while and stomp everything (I use the item glitch for the apples :3 ). I own 2 & 3, but couldn't get into them.
