This is shaping up to a most excellent adventure! I may be doing some DMish stuff on one of those days, so let me know which day this weekend works for y'all. BECAUSE: THIS GOES FOR EVERYONE. Throw me all the characters!

I know I already posted, but I just re-stumbled upon this one. ^Ilan with most people. He is now the bizarre hybrid of Cumberbatch Sherlock/Sheldon Cooper/Ron Swanson.

I must away to the land of sleep anyhow because school starts back up again tomorrow for me. D: Many much sad fases. But I shall be around for the rest of the week and down for all the RP! Conflict is fun, especially with two mages snarking at each other.

He's like Unlimited Asshole Works. ...if I ever hear the words "booty duty" from your mouth in reference to me again. *ded of lol at the dick mage* I didn't even think about that. And yay for all the contacts and the bar and everything! Ilan's kinda part of a business, so he's not looking for a company? He's totally looking for allies though, and he might enjoy hanging out with other mages. Especially ones he deems "not complete buffoons."

Pompous Pyromancer?

Ilan's style of fighting is fire, fire and more fire. Nuke 'em hard, nuke the area around 'em hard and hope that they aren't still standing by the time it's done to kick his ass since his knowledge of physical combat can best be summed up by "knows which end of the dagger to hold." It's very all of nothing for him, which is why he rarely engages in magical duels of any sort because he (willingly) doesn't have a tone it down switch. Just very intense fire and ouch. Though Black Mages tend to wield a staff or somesuch, Ilan doesn't really carry one? He has a dagger on his person just in case, but yeah. So I guess this style of fighting can best be described as Roy Mustanging the crap out of stuff without worrying about precision or any of that nonsense. Kiyo Ikeda, my Raen, is chiefly a Summoner who uses her pets and such, but she's also trained as a rogue in case she can't rely on her magic. This all stems from a situation she was in where she was useless in battle one time because her magic failed her, so she learned how to fight and learned how to fight dirty. She ICly doesn't have any ninja training. It's straight poisoned daggers and cheap shots. Girl will kick sand in your face or sneak you if she has to. She's agile and quick but not terribly strong physically, so she uses her surroundings to her advantage. Annnd Odessa Cassius, my lady midlander, is Ze Sniper. Uses guns and explosives if need be but generally relies on precision with her fire arms and tries to keep as much distance between herself and an enemy as possible with shoot and run tactics. She's also quick on her feet with a decent amount of strength.

Yay, all the meets! And don't worry. I'm surprised more people haven't threatened to do that or something similar. I'm all kindsa down for this! The RP, that is. Not the treant feeding. :3

Ah, yes! Sorry about him! He's really struggling with having any kind of filter and is pretty sure he's the greatest thing since sliced bread when it comes to anything magical. v.v But I would to meet up any time!

[align=center][/align] [align=center]Ilan might hate you, but I don't.[/align] This is Ilan Faust, aforementioned cranky black mage. He's about 24 years old, is incredibly smart, and has the terrible tendency to rub that in everyone's faces. He comes across as a kind of snobby, and if it seems like he's talking down to you? He probably is. Being nice and personable is not even close to his strong suit, though he's trying to be at least a little bit more social so that he can make more business contacts. And maybe friends, but he doesn't know about that part yet. He runs a business of sorts with his partner and longtime friend with benefits, Ruen, who is the more friendly of the two, called the Red Crows. They're sort of like middle men for mercs who are looking for work and people who could use a mercenary to solve some of life's little problems. People come to them with jobs, and they reach out to a network of allies via linkshell to see if anyone's looking for work. Of course, the Crows get a small portion of the payment, but the majority of it goes to the mercenary who does the job! They're chiefly located in Ul'dah, but they travel all over the place and stuffs. [align=left]Anywho, Ilan's kind of a dick. Not gonna even try to lie about that, but he's starting to make efforts to be more social and not quite lay the dickery on quite as thick considering the fact that he needs contacts for the business to be successful. While this is usually what Ruen does, he grudgingly admits that he should be a little more familiar with the process of *shudder* meeting potential allies and contacts. Watching him try to be nice can be kind of funny, especially since it's usually forced. He's been focused on VENGEANCE for a lot of his life and has kind of a sad past, but that's not something he talks about a whole lot. Maybe if someone can actually put up with him for long enough to see that he's not entirely made of brains, snobbery and a raging temper. And, you know, I'm also totally cool with rivals or enemies as well. It's just that he doesn't have much of a problem finding those, so. So, um, GOD THE TEAL DEER ALREADY IN THIS POST I'm looking for anything for him! I just, you know, wanted to put a disclaimer on him a bit. Friend me in game or send me a whisper or just roll up on me if I'm chilling somewhere. I'm a little shy but much nicer than this jerk! I run by EST time and have a full day of classes and work on Tuesdays and Thursday. And and and I think that's it? I also have two ladyfolk, but they're a little easier to find people to chat with that this special camper.[/align]

Meep! Actually, Odessa's generally much more personable, and I've been powering her through because I need Machinist on her. v.v So she may be around a lot! ...that is kind of a fantastic summary of him as a character. And thank you again for being so nice and welcoming, all! :blush:

Ahhh, thank you all for the welcome! Yeah, both Kiyo and Odessa have fairly common names, but I ended up getting so attached to both of them that I eventually just went with it because I'm neurotic and couldn't picture them named anything else. However, their full names are Kiyo Ikeda and Odessa Cassius, so, if you see those last names, that be me!

...and stumbles into the crowd of people on the forums. :dazed: Okay! So! People and stuff! I've been lurking around for a while after my friend Ruen linked me here just looking at all the pretty art and events and just generally being all shy somehow even on an internet forum like the smooth operator I am. However, I'm trying to put myself out there and make some more RP friends. I also just got a tablet and, once I get used to this thing, plan on inflicting sharing some of my really god awful FFXIV art with everyone! SO. Anywho, I'm on Balmung, and I love long walks on the beach and singing in the shower. My main character, this delightful black mage here - Ilan Faust, is kind of a hard sell sometimes cause he's a little bit of a dick, and, for a long while, his miqo'te pal Ruen was the only one who seemed willing to put up with his jerkitude for any extensive periods of time. He's very smart, however, and sometimes doesn't hate everyone he comes in contact with, so there's that. He's extremely uncomfortable with social situations where he's not getting into a verbal or physical altercation, and he can't hold his liquor at all. Watching him physically strain himself trying to be polite for business' sake can be all kinds of fun. For me, anyway. But he's looking for business contacts, so he's kind of resigned himself to not being a complete jerk to everyone, which is often his default setting. I've also got a Raen Summoner/Book Keeper named Kiyo and a bard named Odessa who's not ICly a bard at all and is struggling through DPS queues until I can unlock her actual IC class of Machinist. But I'll save further specifics for the Connections place. Ummm. I'm always down for random RP unless I'm AFK in the corner because I totally forgot I have the game open like a spaz. Um. Um. I think that's it! I'll save the EVEN MORE TL;DR for the classifieds, but I hope to make lots of friends for my characters. Or, in Ilan's case, either bitter enemies or awkward acquaintances/contacts. /attempts to re-steath
