Hello once again, Hydaelyn Roleplayers! I have been gone for quite some time since I've been back here. A combination of IRL commitments plus the fact that I had a bit of economic restraints meant I had to step away from FFXIV for a few months. However! I am back and ready to RP again. While I'm still roleplaying on Misha'to Nhami and Mason Clark, I have another character that I would like to roleplay as well and I would like to introduce!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yukimune Furukane- [align=center][/align] Yukimune, a highlander from Doma, is one of those trained in the art of ninjutsu. For a long time he had been opposed to the Garlean occupation of Doma. Coming from a small village near Doma's capital, he was always a patriot toward his country and his people. While he had to work with the Garlean Empire, he resented their presence and only worked with them begrudgingly. However, he did it for the sake of Doma and his family. Obviously, that ended when the Garleans decided to raze Doma. During that time, he did his best to protect his family and villagers while they fled the country. However, he lost both of his parents as well as a crush of his during the assault. He only managed to save his two sisters, who became separated from him. Defeated, Yukimune left for Eorzea, trying to put distance between himself and the Garleans. He now performs odd jobs to keep himself alive and well. Mostly in the Ul'dah and Limsa regions, he does his best to support himself and his fellow refugees. However, the memory of Doma burns in his heart and he's desiring more and more to do his part to help take down the Empire. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Desired RP Connections- Friends in General: Obviously, general contacts would be great for Yukimune. In general I would like people to roleplay with him, at least semi-regularly. Hang out, talk shop, all that sort of thing. Fellow Domans: This is the one I want the most. I would like to be able to portray Yukimune's connections to the other members of the Doman refugee community. So! If you have any Doman refugees who desire more friends, particularly a big burly Doman, he is the perfect candidate. Free Company: This one is kind of specific, actually. Like the above, IDEALLY I would like him to get involved with an FC based around the Doman community/Doman resistance. If I cannot do that, then something that will stick it to the Garleans in general would be sufficient. Family: As I mentioned above, Yukimune has two sisters who he was separated from! So I thought if someone had an idea for a female Doman hyur character, then maybe they could decide to be one of the two sisters. This one is optional, of course. Romance: For once, this is actually something I'm NOT heavily emphasizing with a roleplay character. Having lost someone he was in love with during the razing, Yukimune is going to be a BIT more reluctant than my other characters. However, if you would like to pursue it, it will take some time but he would warm up to the idea. However, he is going to prefer other highlander men over anything else. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So! So I'm not sure how much he really counts as a nomad, but if you'd like another keeper male, my machinist Misha'to Nhami might be able to fit! Hello there, welcome to the RP community! If you're looking for more Doman characters to interact with, I have a Doman character I just started leveling! Kuniko Naito, a Doman midlander woman whose the daughter of a seamstress and a budding spearwoman. Her family is fairly active in the Doman refugee community, so if you'd like it could be a possible way to connect their RP. Or, if you want something a little more out of the box, my main RP character is Misha'to Nhami, my Keeper machinist/engineer. Very amiable and friendly, I could always offer him up for roleplay.

I agree with the above statements regarding this being unknown territory. At the moment, there is no evidence to support than any other race lives in any significant amount in Othard besides Au Ra and Hyurs. However, the flipside of that is it has not been specifically stated that these are the only races that live there. You can take that as license to fill in lore a little. One could also believe that perhaps some populations of the other races can come there from Garlemald (even though they're not native to Garlemald either, they could say 'hey cool place' and live there, potentially?). I do not believe you will get much ire for that, but just know some people may try to point out he lack of supporting evidence. I would not put much stock in it, however. On a side note, I'm actually not sure I agree with this much. It's stated that the Keepers and Seekers aren't really hostile toward each other. From the sounds of it, they're pretty neutral with each other.

I know I posted a looking for connections thread with the roguishly handsome Miqo'te before, but I am making a newer, more specialized looking for connections thread. This one will be much more focused, as I am really only looking for one thing at the moment. And what is that, you might ask? [align=center][/align] [align=center]This guy needs a machinist teacher![/align] Yes, that is the main point of this thread. I would like to start working on the foundations of Misha'to's eventual transition ICly and OOCly into the machinist class. To do this, I would like someone who is already a machinist who he could start an apprenticeship under. Someone who is already well versed in the craft themselves. It would really go a long way toward helping me with my goal. If you have such a character who is willing to take on a student, feel free to send me a note here on in-game at 'Misha'to Nhami'. One last thing: If one knows of any FCs that are engineering themed or could use an engineer/machinist, let me know too.

Update- So, I am updating this thread with some updated information. And also to potentially aid in my search for a free company. I am reiterating that a free company is what I am looking for most with Misha'to at the moment. While random RP at events is fun, I am looking for something that can help me establish larger ongoing plots with this character. In addition, I am hoping that through a free company I will be able to establish more friendship contacts. Here is what I need most out of the free company: I would LIKE a magitech/engineering slant from the free company, but any sort of adventuring company or related group that has engineers/machinists in it would suffice. I would like this free company to help with Misha'to's eventual IC transition to a machinist. Potentially mentors, if you will. This is what I hope for most. If you have any suggestions for such a free company, please feel free to let me know here or via private note.

If you ever wanted to hit up a fellow miqo'te, Misha'to would probably be able to oblige. Though he's a Keeper so not exactly the same.

I would think Misha'to does/will fight with a lot of misdirection. He'll move rather gracefully, but with probably a lot of feints and other such movements to throw opponents off balance and keep them guessing. He's a very calm, collected, and intelligent individual which leads me to believe he will use a certain amount of mind games in combat. While strong, I think he main objective would be to outwit his opponent. And of course, being a miqo'te, he has a certain amount of natural grace.

If you're still looking, she might have ran into my miqo'te Misha'to if she committed crimes in the Shroud, since he's a member of the Archer's guild.

Could always have her meet my male keeper, Misha'to! Might have some interesting interactions or even conflicts, with keeper traditions and such.

There is RP on Gilgamesh, actually = D There's a big roleplay linkshell called "Roleplay Gilgamesh", and you can use it to find the RP there. It's very community based and there isn't as much open world RP as there is on Balmung, but it IS there.

Ah! Well, at the moment he is still in the guild, and he has been part of it for a couple years. So it could be likely!

Well, if you'd like to interact with a miqo'te, my Keeper male is always up for roleplay! He might even offer a bit of nice contrast to other miqo'te she meets, since he's -not- super close with his parental culture.
