I'm not sure what my rp style would be qualified as, though I find it is almost the far opposite extreme of self rp. I write rp as though I am an author to a narrative. I don't see my characters as any extension of myself and I don't project any of my own feelings or thoughts into my characters. If we happen to align in values, it's completely coincidental. I think what this allows me to do is separate myself from this character I'm authoring and really take a step back and look at rp like a narrative. For instance, people naturally like to win, but if I see an opportunity for growth in loss, I'll try to write my character into the loss, if I can. I like to story weave and so I see my characters like I would see any other character in a book. The difference is that I get a creative say in their contribution to the story at hand. Rp to me is a collaborative writing project.

My alt is a 16, going on 17 year old Ishgardian, who I would love to have mingle with others her age. She is of a noble vassal house under Fortemps. She's very open to who she associates with so i think as long as they found common ground, it'd be great! Currently, she's visiting her family's winter Manor in La Noscea, so if you'd like to meet up sometime just hit me up. I may have a friend around the same age tag along if they are up for it.

WHOO! Now that my brain has had time to turn back on... Big thank you to everyone who was involved with the festival committee and putting things together. This was a huge community undertaking, and boy did we run with it. To give some insight on the behind the scenes... Imagine a room full of like 40 people throwing glitter and listening to loud music while we try to keep our dorito cheese off the nice things we're making. That was our discord planning hub, lol! This was over a month in the making, and took quite a bit of time, care, thought, and hair loss from all of our volunteer staff, vendors, performers, and models. If you attended and run into one of our vendors, models, performers, or staff, please thank them! They definitely deserve like 800 pats on the back. Thank you also to everyone who came out to the festival! I know it was a long one, but hopefully you had fun- and made some friends!!!! Props to the community for flexing your RP muscle and showing how strong and thriving we are, even with the server lock. WOW, that audience participation in the fireworks show, tho! Wendy would be a side quest npc that the hero gets to help realize her dreams of being a professional songstress. She would be reoccurring for a questline like manderville, but following her misadventures. I envision the hero being dragged into a lot of hilarious situations. Lots of face palming.

Hmm. I can see how sometimes it'd fit the purpose, like setting up a backstory, or maybe a couple just wants to stick together. Makes sense! I personally try to avoid it, because it just has to be a spectacular ship for me to be on board. I am a huge fan of characters impacting one another and being a catalyst for growth. I don't think I could rp slice of life romance, not that there is anything wrong with it! What I could see working out for prearrangement may be like... One sided love! Like you make sure the person is ok with your character crushing on them, so it doesn't get weird.
