Hellooo fellow EU-er! I myself have been trying as hard as I can to make some RP connections, but it's definitely much more difficult when you're hours ahead of everyone else. So far I've managed to get some RP done but it's always had to be late at night. It'd be great to be able to RP with someone in the same timezone! If you're up for RP at all, drop me a message, or add me in game if you catch me on one of my characters (currently in the process of levelling Q'rhin so he's the one to look out for)!

Hah, Claire and Ehmra sound like a recipe for disaster! I can't think of any better reason for her to be friends with somebody! Maybe someday they'll trigger the events that lead to the destruction of Eorzea...or maybe they'll just be the victim of comedic explosions. Who knows, or dares to dream?

If there's RP going on in the EU realms, I'm all for it! I only have one character on Cerberus but it's a copy of one of my current RP characters so there are no problems there (even better she's at lvl 50 so once I power through to HW I can get her the class I want her to be!)! If you see Ehmra Elldi around Cerberus, throw me an invite to the LS! We'll make an RP realm out of it yet.

I'm just terrible at initiating RP. I'm the kind of person that sits around thinking; "Oh boy, I sure hope someone stops by to RP with me today!", then gets disappointed when nothing happens. I'm doing my best to try and make some ties in the RP community here so I have some pals to help get me started, but it's always daunting and is never without that long list of questions. - What if they don't like my characters? - What if they don't like me? - What if they think I'm not good enough to RP with them? - What if I do something wrong and it puts them off? - Etc, etc...

I used to be on Cerberus (I think? It was one of the EU realms anyway, but Cerberus does ring a bell), and I saw absolutely no RP during my time there aside from the RP me and a few friends did (which is a shame, because I really, really, really want to get into XIV RP!). That was a long time ago, though, so things might have changed since then. Although I have several characters on Balmung, I've considered trying to help promote RP on the EU realms, although it's a tough job for someone to do alone. We need to get more RPers EU-side to band together so the RP on the EU realms can flourish!

Thunderbolt300 - Once I have time (both literal and in-game) I'll definitely check those FCs/LSs out if I haven't done so already! I'll also keep an eye out for your character and see if any of mine can oh-so-conveniently bump into her! C'io Behkt - I thought Ysolda and maybe Ehmra would be a good fit, they're both avid learners and love collecting knowledge on all things magical, even if they go about doing it differently from each other. I'm on GMT/BST, but I have a lot of time on my hands at the moment (and I mean a lot, I currently can't work for medical reasons) so staying up late/getting up early to adapt to when things go down isn't much of a problem for me.

Hey there! It's a shame you think the timezones wouldn't match up well, I can think of a few characters that might fit in nicely with your FC! Nevertheless, I'll definitely check out Mischeif's Coven, and am strongly considering an application to Azeyma's Oath! I did mention at the top that I'm open to making new connections, so that'd be great! I'd imagine there's a lot C'io might know that Ysolda would kill to get out of her, seeing as she's after any scrap of knowledge (especially magical knowledge!) she can get her hands on! Q'rhin's made to get along well with everyone unless they're an absolute a-hole, so I'm sure they'll end up getting along fine should they ever meet! Hopefully we can catch each other at good times, I'll look forward to RPing with you!

Forget the FC, Eorzea itself needs more nerds! Joking aside, I think it's possible Ysolda could be interested! While she prefers the comfort of indoors, I think her thirst for knowledge might be enough to persuade her to get her hands dirty! Plus any threats that might arise would give her the perfect excuse to practice flinging spells around. I'll definitely consider asking to join! Kazukata looks like he and Ehmra could have some interesting interactions. She's very enthusiastic and energetic, but also rash and a little dense, so I could see interactions between them going both ways. I could be wrong, though, after all, he's your character, not mine!

Hey there! It's been a while since I came back here, and, defeating my own expectations, I've actually managed to get some RP done! I still feel like I could be doing more, though, and as always I am open to making new connections or, if I'm lucky, landing myself a nice spot in a cozy FC! I have a lot of free time currently and am available pretty much any time. I should point out that I'm on British time, though, so scheduling RP with you 'Muricans might be a little difficult (but not impossible!). I have a small handful of characters to choose from, hopefully at least one of them might spark your interest! Ysolda Merwin (Hyur Midlander) - Ysolda is best described as a nerd. She prefers books over swords and displayed an affinity for magical arts at a young age. While still rather young and inexperienced, she is very intelligent and is currently an apprentice arcanist. Ehmra Elldi (Miqo'te Keeper) - Ehmra is a wild and free spirit. Ditzy, unfocused and spontaneous, Ehmra often wandered from home as a child and took off for good once she felt she was old enough to make it on her own. She has a fascination with the stars and aspires to one day be taught in the ways of astromancy. Tsetseg Borlaaq (Xaela Au Ra) - Tsetseg displays high levels of confidence that often gets described as arrogance. He excelled in ranged combat, specifically with bows, during his clan days, but after making his way to Eorzea he sought something with a bit more firepower. He currently spends his time as a sword (well...gun) for hire. Q'rhin Tia (Miqo'te Seeker) - Q'rhin is your typical nice guy. He always preferred to heal instead of hurt and was rather popular amongst the younger members of his tribe. After being persuaded to challenge the Nuhn and losing, he was quickly exiled from the tribe. Now he makes his way across Eorzea to offer his aid to those he thinks might need it most. Yeah, Au Ra are a bit of a challenge, I've tried to get as much info on them as possible but I haven't turned up much. They're definitely a mystery. x) I can see why! Hopefully, Ehmra won't get too jealous if she happens to run into Q'rhin. And I'd be all up for her and Tset to take on a job together, although I haven't gotten him to 50 on his first class so he won't have any guns (I guess he could just use...invisible guns!). x)

Thanks! I'll have a look around the markets, see if I can find anything I like that's fairly cheap. Just glad I don't have to raise 4 characters up to lvl 50 just to get some good RP gear (that's 4 Garuda fights, nobody deserves that x.x)!

Hey there! I've been dying to RP ever since I found this site and started playing again, and would love it if some peeps out there would help me dive further into things. I managed to get a few characters onto Balmung eventually, but their backstories are really vague and would love it if anyone out there would like to help me forge my characters' history. Maybe you could be a past friend/enemy/family member, or whatever you like! Here are the concepts for the characters I have right now; [align=center]Ysolda Merwin[/align] [align=center]A Hyur who's best described as a nerdy shut-in. While she doesn't abhor the thought of going out and being social with others, she would much rather be at home with her nose in a book. She was born to a Highlander mother and a Midlander father. Not much happens in her life outside of her usual Arcanist studies.[/align] [align=center]Ehmra Elldi[/align] [align=center]A lively and eccentric Miqo'te Keeper. Ehmra was never one to listen to her elders, and could never stay put for long. Eventually her curiosity landed her in the middle of a forest with no memory of the way back. A sudden realisation came to her, and she managed to use the positions of the stars to find her way back. She began to chart the stars herself in order to make longer trips away from home and still find her way back. Her fascination with the stars made her all the more excited when she learned of Astromancy, leading her to leave home practically for good to seek out a teacher in the craft.[/align] [align=center](I feel like this one might need the most work, as I know Astrologians can be difficult to get right x) )[/align] [align=center]Tsetseg Borlaaq[/align] [align=center]A confident and promiscuous Xaela Au Ra. Tsetseg was born to the Borlaaq tribe but was traditionally given up after one year. He was taken into and raised by the Iriq tribe, and started to question why the tribe he was born to just threw him away. Eventually, he decided he didn't want to be part of a tribe made of rejects and abandoned the Iriq. However instead of seeking out his birth tribe he set off to become his own person, quickly adopting the new technologies of the world and becoming a gun-for-hire.[/align] [align=center]Q'rhin Tia[/align] [align=center]One of the nicest Miqo'te Seekers you may ever meet. Q'rhin was rather popular and on good terms with most of his tribe, however he was often berated by the tribe's Nuhn for choosing to focus on healing the sick and injured instead of becoming a warrior. Q'rhin was eventually asked by the other members of the tribe to challenge and take over the Nuhn's position, and after much persuasion he eventually agreed. It did not end in his favour, though, and the Nuhn, along with some of the more respected tribe members, exiled the Tia from the tribe. Now forced to find somewhere new to settle, Q'rhin offers whoever may need it his medical expertise in exchange for the coin he needs to survive.[/align] I'd love to know what you guys think, and would love it even more if you'd like to get involved, or if you can help me change them to fit in better with the lore. Also, if anyone knows where I can get some good RP gear at low levels, I will love you forever if you tell me. All the good stuff seems to only be available post lvl 50. x)

RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I'd say light for now. I'm currently in the process of leveling my characters so they don't have much in the way of outfits by now, but I'm up for RP any time at all so I'm sure I can put appearances aside for the sake of RP! Views on RP combat and injuries: I'd prefer if people didn't purposely try and injure my characters without good reason, but battles are a natural part of this world and injuries are a natural part of battle so if all the pieces fall into place injuries may just be unavoidable! Views on IC romance: As long as your characters are genuinely interested in my characters and you're not just doing it to get into my character's panties, then I'm all for it! Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Family ties would be great! A few of my characters would probably know a lot of former clan-mates so if you're interested just give me a shout! Views on lore: I try to follow lore as closely as I can, but I'm not against a little wiggle room. In my experience not a lot of FFXIV's lore has been divulged so I understand a lot of it gets left to speculation. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I'll use any chat function! III. I haven't thought about my characters' backstories that much, so this should be fun! Ysolda Merwin: Nerd decides maybe it's time to leave the house. Ehmra Elldi: Kitty gets lost in the woods, stars tell her; "Yo, go this way." Tsetseg Borlaaq: Smexy lizard-man ditches tribe of Borlaaq rejects, proceeds to have sex with literally everyone. Q'rhin Tia: Wimpy tia gets his ass kicked by nuhn, is then booted from the tribe in shame.

Right now, we still have room. We'll be looking over the member list soon and removing those who haven't logged in for some time. Awesome. I'll see if I can catch you or one of the other LS leaders in game and send a tell sometime!

This sounds ideal for me, I could do with people to talk to while I'm leveling my characters! Is it alright to bring four characters to the LS? It would be good to have them all there but I know there's only so many places that can be taken. x)

Hello there! \o/ I've been playing FFXIV for a little while, I started about a year ago, got a few chars to lvl 50 then took a break. I wish I'd known about this RP community back then, I've been looking for a place to go RP that isn't WoW for ages now! I'm glad it's here, because FFXIV looks so much better than WoW. I'm not on Balmung yet, although I'm hoping to get a cheeky character transfer in soon, once I have the money and once all my new chars are 3 days old. Figured I'd get my money's worth and make a bunch of them to ship over instead of just one! Hope to see you around Balmung once I get there!

Hello fellow newbie! \o/ I'm planning to transfer to Balmung soon myself. I had a big 2-day stakeout trying to grab a window for character creation but one never came up, and I figured the only way I'm going to get on there is if I transfer. There were only 2 characters I wanted on there but since you can transfer multiple characters at once I now have 4. From the sound of it, there's no shortage of RP anywhere on Balmung, so I'm looking forward to getting there. I hope I'll see you around when I do!

Hello fellow newbie! \o/ I'm sooo incredibly jealous of everyone who's made it onto Balmung. I stayed up for about 2 days waiting to see if the server would open up and let me make a character but it was completely hopeless. x) I've stuck my characters on Jenova because I heard that has a little RP going on, although I'm planning on transferring once I have the money for it. Hello fellow newbie! \o/ I'm no stranger to RP of either kind but I've never RPed on FFXIV before. I've always wanted to; WoW has always been my RPing grounds but I've always thought FFXIV looked so much better! My characters are currently on Jenova too but I'm hoping to get a transfer to Balmung once I have the money. My characters are all brand new and low level at the moment, but if you want to RP regardless just drop me a PM!
