Books? Give me a few ideas of what to read please? Been wanting to read a few new series lately. The Stormcaller by Tom Lloyd (book one of the twilight reign) is pretty good. I'm only on like chapter three but so far it is pretty interesting.

hahah, that's true. But I never went there except to kill Alliance, soooo... Well, and the one time that DK's were bugged and could target members of their own faction with Frost Fever and Blood Plague and were slaughtering lowbies all over Stormwind and Elwynn. The bones in the Goldshire Inn were up to my hips. Yeah..I played on alliance and horde, faction changed a couple times. Was fun. Was. But the RP died out for me in Wrath.

And so.. this thread, similar to my "art of distraction" thread is to serve as a place where people can post about how Square keeps playing with our hearts and giving us bits and pieces of this game to play. And so.. How will you keep yourself busy for the next four days? I myself have work.. and after I get home(which is usually around 4:00) I have two dogs to take care of before I get any down time. Soo.. hopefully that will distract me, assuming I don't go crazy from boredom. Hmm. That reminds me! I can play Dark Souls!

That is exactly what they do. When you have a song up, it drains your MP. When you are out of MP, the song disappears. It's a spell of sorts. That said, I am still undecided on where to allocate my points at the moment too! DEX for damage is desirable, but I'm not sure how much PIE will help, or if having that song up a little longer is worth the sacrifice of damage. Having a song up causes -20% DPS from the Bard, as well. Exactly. Currently two of the songs we know Bards have regenerate. One regenerate MP, the other regenerates TP. Now, Bards are not a DPS-focused class.. They are DPS/Support. Dragoons and Pugilists are your main physical damage dealers. With that said, would it be more beneficial to a raid/PvE styled environment to have some points invested into PIE so you can restore the MP/TP of the other DPS/healers in your group/party/raid/etc. That is what I am wondering. More MP means longer song duration, which in turn means more MP or TP for the other group members. I'm not sure how much MP you would get for putting a point into PIE, though.. And as I am not sure if you can reset your attribute points I am not willing to risk investing them into it. Currently I have 6 points in DEX and a few unspent because I don't know what the ideal build is. I think it is reasonably safe to assume it will either be Full DEX, or a 70% DEX - 30% PIE kind of spread.. But like I said, I didn't play 1.0 and I have no idea what I am talking about really it is all just speculation.

My response to Error 3102: Sho Ga Nai. Or, in other words. It can't be helped. What I mean by this is that take what life delivers you and make the best of it. I got locked out myself late Saturday night, so some might argue that I have no room to talk after having enough time to get somewhere decent (although I did work for 8 hours friday so I missed out on some time there as well). Tech issues happen, and they always will. Getting ruffled up about it isn't worth wasting the energy on. After all, we aren't on live yet. Once I give them money I will be expecting more. They had a surge of likely 100,000,000ish players, give or take, trying to log onto and consistently play all at once. It is -expected- to happen. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if game companies purposely allowed the server to lock out randomized IP addresses in order to ease up server stress during times like this. We don't really know. So, fall back onto the forums like we all will when Phase 4 ends. We can sit back, relax, and dream about playing in Eorzea. Oh and I am pretty bummed out myself. I am going to try to log in at 12:00 midnight tonight and see if I can at least run my character into my inn room to log out and get rest. If I an unable to do that then I lose out on all of that rested exp bonus I could have potentially had. So I completely understand. :thumbsup: But I'm happy that I got to log on at all, every time I log onto that game I feel like Kirito from SAO in episode one. Right after he logs in during initial release and fist pumping with the whole "I'm back." Yeah, I totally do that. Cheesy grin and all. If only Eorzea was VR'd and somehow locked us into the game because really Yoshi P is a crazy philosophically curious scientist and wants to see how we all handle/react/behave in that kind of situation.

Since I don't play on Sundays and normally I don't get on the computer at all. So I win for now~

Does anyone know what the best allocation would be for ARR? I heard that Dex/Peity was good in 1.0.. But I'm not sure what I should do for ARR. I've only put anything on DEX so far. But yeah.. some theory crafting by some of our 1.0 Bards would be nice Thanks!

Anyone else getting a "Unable to update NA/EU character/server list?" message when they click start? For me, it shows none of the NA/EU servers..only JP's.

NA servers aren't up? When are they supposed to be?
