Gegenji Posted April 23, 2015 Share #26 Posted April 23, 2015 What about some of those older Edutainment games that were, you know, fun? Oregon Trail and Carmen Sandiego, for example. Also, added joke-but-still-kinda-interested answer: Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. Link to comment
Branson Thorne Posted April 23, 2015 Author Share #27 Posted April 23, 2015 everything that's gone wrong with Elder Scrolls since then BLASPHEMY!!! Sorry, Morrowind was still immersive to me, but everything to come sense stopped feeling like an actual world like Daggerfall did, and instead feels like a playground. Oblivion is the worst Was not a fan of Skyrim? From what I've seen of it I might enjoy it, but I just am not interested any more :-] Well if you need a reason to change your mind, it's above and beyond Oblivion. To me the feel nothing alike. Skyrim is absolutely brilliant! #fanboy Link to comment

Both of those was amazing. I believe it was Oregon Trail 2? (maybe) but one of the travelers was a hilarious character named Caroline Crabb. Link to comment
Harmonixer Posted April 23, 2015 Share #29 Posted April 23, 2015 Shadow Hearts series. Without question. I think with the right amount of work people would be blown away by that series. It's aged well in story, but not so much in visuals. Clean up a few of the game mechanics and put back in all the removed content and side stories and you'd have something easily AAA quality. Failing that, Onimusha. I still believe the first game was highly overrated and kind of bleh, but everything after that was really solid and completely improved as a whole. If they redid them and made some adjustments to the games mechanics it could be a very welcome addition to any library. In a perfect world though, someone would remake Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 and 2. We have a lot of things like it, but nothing that quite reaches that eerie spaceloot and scoot feel like it does. The story is exceptionally dark and the whole universe itself was just the fucking best. A full remake with modern visuals and keeping of most of the core mechanics (yes, even section IDs!) and I'd be set forever. Link to comment
Kage Posted April 23, 2015 Share #30 Posted April 23, 2015 Holy crap I'd love a new Carmen Sandiego game. And oregon trail. .... I know it's not quite the same, but I'd love to see a "proper" video game made out of Midnight Rescue! Link to comment
Dogberry Posted April 23, 2015 Share #31 Posted April 23, 2015 To be honest, I was like 8 years old when I even got to experience this and it was at my cousin's house... so I don't have memories of it other than "this game looks really fun i wanna play more of it!" So i'd dig a remaster. The gameplay was pretty simple and had some seriously generic puzzles. So much so that I'd really hesitate to call then "puzzles". Burn:cycle is a game I'm fond of, but admit it's a pretty bad game. It just had that 1990's cyberpunk style that I adore. I would hope anyone who remakes the game puts more emphasis on the investigation elements. Link to comment
Cliodhna Eoghan Posted April 23, 2015 Share #32 Posted April 23, 2015 loz, (basically everything from the first nes to the oracle set) alundra dragon warrior monsters can't think of any others atm but i'll add when i do x3 Link to comment
Edda Posted April 23, 2015 Share #33 Posted April 23, 2015 FFXII. I swear to GOD Square if all you give us is that asstastic FFX remaster for now I will be forever heartbroken. FFIX needs one too. Please give the best Final Fantasy games what they deserve instead of more Teedus and Toriyama's Waifu. ALL THE SUIKODEN GAMES though this will never happen since MGS has become for Konami what a feeding tube is for a starving child. The Xenosaga trilogy would be nice to see completely redone, not just a port. Tales of the Abyss because WHY the 3DS why. Aaaand Tales of Vesperia port to PS4 so the West has a chance at getting it for real this time lel. Link to comment
C'kayah Polaali Posted April 23, 2015 Share #34 Posted April 23, 2015 Uplink! Oh, hell yes! Though it's still plenty fun and doesn't seem that dated (phone/modem sounds aside)... Others: The Gateway series (Gateway and Homeworld) - point-and-click graphic/text adventures based on Fred Pohl's Gateway books Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight Trainer (first and only flight sim I've played where I actually managed to experience inertial coupling!) The whole Escape Velocity series. 'Nuff said. I'd have thrown Elite into this a few years ago, but we've gotten Elite Dangerous, so that's dandy! Link to comment
Verad Posted April 23, 2015 Share #35 Posted April 23, 2015 Not a remaster, exactly, but I'd like to see what Xenogears would have been if they hadn't run out of budget. 1 Link to comment

Iex Posted April 23, 2015 Share #37 Posted April 23, 2015 - Neverwinter Nights Oh man... I used to RP on those custom worlds. Was on a Wheel of Time world for the longest time even though I never actually read those books. I was SOO excited for Neverwinter Nights 2, but SO disappointed when they rushed the release and it literally would not work with 50% of computers out there due to video card issues. (aka mine was included) So sad.... Link to comment
Branson Thorne Posted April 23, 2015 Author Share #38 Posted April 23, 2015 When I was younger, we had only one game for our Nintendo, it was a "Jungle Book" game, played as Mogli running through the jungle. Man I'd love to play that game again! Link to comment
Nataru Posted April 23, 2015 Share #39 Posted April 23, 2015 Title says it but I will echo it here. What game/series would you like to see get a current gen remastered? For me, I'd love to see the whole Ace Combat series remastered for current gen. Also, I'd love to see the old Desert Storm games as well. I absolutely adore the ace combat series 5 and Zero ftw! @.@ Link to comment
Shizuno Posted April 23, 2015 Share #40 Posted April 23, 2015 I want legit remasters of more old school Tales games. Both Destiny titles remastered would be a beautiful, beautiful thing. I think the .hack games could use some love, too; as well as Star Ocean 1/2. Also going to...second? Third? Forth? Legend of Dragoon. God that game was brilliant. Link to comment

DeletedUser Posted April 23, 2015 Share #47 Posted April 23, 2015 Games I wish they would re-make, as in all new graphics and engine but leaving everything else the same: - Baldur's Gate / Icewind Dale - Neverwinter Nights Yes, yes, to all of the above. I have played a bit of BGEE but would've preferred a complete rehaul. Legend of Zelda, Double Dragon, Mutant League, Contra, Xenogears, Parasite Eve etc etc.... DOUBLE DRAGON! Anyone else play Kid Kool? I'd like to see that remastered. Link to comment

Hammersmith Posted April 23, 2015 Share #50 Posted April 23, 2015 Yeah, this also happened and it's the late 80s, early 90ests remake ever: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_Dragon_Neon AS for what I'd like to see remastered? I'm going to dig deep and say Quest for Glory 2. It was the one Quest for Glory that never got an EGA or higher resolution or a point and click interface, officially (that I know) and it was also one of the more visually stunning ones for just CGA. I still have nightmares about trying to navigate the streets in the second city sans map. Oof. Link to comment
