Banquo Viaquo Posted August 25, 2015 Share #26 Posted August 25, 2015 I'm INFJ - Introverted iNtuitive Feeling Judging; marked elsewhere as The Protector. Gideon North is ISTJ - Introverted Sensing Thinking Judging, marked elsewhere as The Duty Fulfiller. Banquo is ENFJ - Extraverted iNtuitive Feeling Judging; marked elsewhere as The Giver. On some level I feel like I should know this is about as reliable as horoscopery, but I like these things nonetheless. Link to comment
Barengar Posted August 25, 2015 Share #27 Posted August 25, 2015 INFP for myself! Every single time I take it, every single place I take it. I always wind up INFP! I've made a habit of doing one of these tests "In-Character" so to speak whenever I think up a new character to help myself flesh out the rest of their personality. I find it to be quite helpful! Barengar is very strong ISTJ. It really does fit him very well! Link to comment
Kage Posted August 25, 2015 Share #28 Posted August 25, 2015 Myself, I am ISTJ here. ISTJ Introvert(53%) Sensing(1%) Thinking(25%) Judging(47%) You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (53%) You have marginal or no preference of Sensing over Intuition (1%) You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (25%) You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (47%) To be honest, when I took this when I was 15 I believe I wavered between INTJ and ISTJ back then as well. I'm not sure if this actually says something about me. Am I perceiving myself correctly? Have I analyzed myself rightly? Link to comment

EkheiBalduin Posted August 25, 2015 Share #30 Posted August 25, 2015 I am an INTJ, a Systems Builder. No surprise there. But reading the description again ... sometimes it just stings how true it can be. Khei is an ISTJ, an Inspector. He's a Chocobo Inspector for the Flames. It fits entirely too perfect.:chocobo: Link to comment
Ritual Posted August 25, 2015 Share #31 Posted August 25, 2015 Just in case anyone's a bit confused on their type or feel like they fit some other types traits to, this is fairly common, once you start learning about typology or personality typing in general, think of it like a cake, the top layer being are you I vs E, layer below is what's your 4 letter code, INFJ, ESTP etc, then it's learning what those letters mean and then lastly it's learning the cognitive functions. Everybody use all the functions, Ti, Te, Si, Se, Ni, Ne, Fi, Fe, this is why you'll see yourself dipping into other types as well, but it's your top two that say what your type is, this is why people in the same type aren't necessarily anything alike besides a certain way of thinking and acting. Also, try not to get too hung up on P or J, these are kinda added on people are a bit unsure why, Ps are messy Js aren't, it's kinda accepted that something like this is mostly due to upbringing as opposed to an innate trait. Mitzer The Mighty Posted August 25, 2015 Share #32 Posted August 25, 2015 Mitzi Moui, did someone order an adorable mascot character? ESFP Extravert(78%) Sensing(62%) Feeling(78%) Perceiving(69%) You have strong preference of Extraversion over Introversion (78%) You have distinct preference of Sensing over Intuition (62%) You have strong preference of Feeling over Thinking (78%) You have distinct preference of Perceiving over Judging (69%) "Where's the party?" ESFPs love people, excitement, telling stories and having fun. The spontaneous, impulsive nature of this type is almost always entertaining." As for myself I've always been INTJ and sometimes INTP depending on the questions. Complete difference in my characters is that they don't reflect me or my personal ideals, they reflect archetypes meant to make stories more lifelike. I'd never have the energy, interest, or understanding of emotional/social situations to be them. :geek: INTJ Introvert(81%) iNtuitive(50%) Thinking(28%) Judging(22%) You have strong preference of Introversion over Extraversion (81%) You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (50%) You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (28%) You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (22%) Link to comment
Klynzahr Posted August 25, 2015 Share #33 Posted August 25, 2015 Whenever I take these tests, I wind up hovering on the boarder between INFP and INTP. In this case INFP won out. Apparently I have an active imagination and prefer to retreat into my inner 'imaginary world'..... goodness knows why I would enjoy something like RPing. Now Klynzahr scored as a moderate strength INJT. However I am pretty sure that she is actually closer to an INTP. Her long-standing navel habits may have been effecting her score a little. 1 Link to comment

INTJs form just two percent of the population, and women of this personality type are especially rare, forming just 0.8% of the population – it is often a challenge for them to find like-minded individuals who are able to keep up with their relentless intellectualism and chess-like maneuvering. People with the INTJ personality type are imaginative yet decisive, ambitious yet private, amazingly curious, but they do not squander their energy. For me I could see Serylda being like this. She has very large ambitions and lots of emotion, but often times has a hard time expressing that to others or even really just socializing in general. Any and all time she spends in groups is usually either fighting primals IC, or spending time sitting in corners with her FC mates. As for myself personally I got: ENFJ Extravert(34%) iNtuitive(19%) Feeling(34%) Judging(28%) You have moderate preference of Extraversion over Introversion (34%) You have slight preference of Intuition over Sensing (19%) You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (34%) You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (28%) ENFJs are natural-born leaders, full of passion and charisma. Forming around two percent of the population, they are oftentimes our politicians, our coaches and our teachers, reaching out and inspiring others to achieve and to do good in the world. With a natural confidence that begets influence, ENFJs take a great deal of pride and joy in guiding others to work together to improve themselves and their community. Link to comment
Caspar Posted August 26, 2015 Share #36 Posted August 26, 2015 I got INTJ. Perhaps it's true? I've never put much stock in tests like this. I suppose it's the result I got because though I like to keep to myself in real life, and tend to think carefully about a lot of things, every once in a while a hunch or feeling becomes too strong to ignore. The idea of someone with a combination of imagination and reliability is close to what I want to be, but that might just be wish-fulfillment. Connecting with other people is hard, and I do often want them to make sense. Sigil.9054 Posted August 26, 2015 Share #41 Posted August 26, 2015 INTP I've done this test before in many places (including an official one administered by a psychologist), and INTP is what I tend to get. I do prefer this site for the description, though the one on the OP's linked website is good as well. The only problem I have is that I'm not sure if my answers to the test are who I am, or who I wish I was. ...Which seems to fit the personality type, really. Link to comment
Shoshopu Posted August 26, 2015 Share #42 Posted August 26, 2015 I've been reading about the MBTI for years and I think it's a great character-writing tool! From the outset I assign a type to my characters because it really helps me get into their head and figure out how they figure things out. I used to test as ISFJ usually but on the fence with INFP, when I was in high school, but these days I think I'm pretty strongly INFP. I had some unhealthy tendencies towards some people in high school that I think often skewed my results towards ISFJ based on how questions were written on tests. Where the MBTI gets really interesting (and especially useful) is when you get past just the letters and get into the functions. The first test I ever took directed me towards Typelogic and I've kept it bookmarked ever since. It gives a decent functional analysis for each type after the general descriptive write-up. As for my characters... Shoshopu is ENFP, and Awyrbyrt is ESTJ. Just in case Arkamas doesn't lurk into this thread, Fyrilsunn has developed into a pretty solid ISTJ. I tried to get him to pick a type for Fyrilsunn at the beginning the way I do, but there were two he couldn't decide between, so he just did whatever and wound up there. The player himself we reckon is INTP. Rarely-sees-the-light-of-public-RP Dyrstswys is ISFJ and Lahzlona is..... undecided, she's a mess, I made the mistake of not deciding early on and now I need to analyze the actions she's taken thus far and figure it out Link to comment
Tokki Posted September 1, 2015 Share #43 Posted September 1, 2015 Very strange...I am an INFJ. INFJs are distinguished by both their complexity of character and the unusual range and depth of their talents. Strongly humanitarian in outlook, INFJs tend to be idealists, and because of their J preference for closure and completion, they are generally "doers" as well as dreamers. This rare combination of vision and practicality often results in INFJs taking a disproportionate amount of responsibility in the various causes to which so many of them seem to be drawn. INFJs are deeply concerned about their relations with individuals as well as the state of humanity at large. They are, in fact, sometimes mistaken for extroverts because they appear so outgoing and are so genuinely interested in people -- a product of the Feeling function they most readily show to the world. On the contrary, INFJs are true introverts, who can only be emotionally intimate and fulfilled with a chosen few from among their long-term friends, family, or obvious "soul mates." While instinctively courting the personal and organizational demands continually made upon them by others, at intervals INFJs will suddenly withdraw into themselves, sometimes shutting out even their intimates. This apparent paradox is a necessary escape valve for them, providing both time to rebuild their depleted resources and a filter to prevent the emotional overload to which they are so susceptible as inherent "givers." As a pattern of behavior, it is perhaps the most confusing aspect of the enigmatic INFJ character to outsiders, and hence the most often misunderstood -- particularly by those who have little experience with this rare type. Due in part to the unique perspective produced by this alternation between detachment and involvement in the lives of the people around them, INFJs may well have the clearest insights of all the types into the motivations of others, for good and for evil. The most important contributing factor to this uncanny gift, however, are the empathic abilities often found in Fs, which seem to be especially heightened in the INFJ type (possibly by the dominance of the introverted N function). This empathy can serve as a classic example of the two-edged nature of certain INFJ talents, as it can be strong enough to cause discomfort or pain in negative or stressful situations. More explicit inner conflicts are also not uncommon in INFJs; it is possible to speculate that the causes for some of these may lie in the specific combinations of preferences which define this complex type. For instance, there can sometimes be a "tug-of-war" between NF vision and idealism and the J practicality that urges compromise for the sake of achieving the highest priority goals. And the I and J combination, while perhaps enhancing self-awareness, may make it difficult for INFJs to articulate their deepest and most convoluted feelings. Usually self-expression comes more easily to INFJs on paper, as they tend to have strong writing skills. Since in addition they often possess a strong personal charisma, INFJs are generally well-suited to the "inspirational" professions such as teaching (especially in higher education) and religious leadership. Psychology and counseling are other obvious choices, but overall, INFJs can be exceptionally difficult to pigeonhole by their career paths. Perhaps the best example of this occurs in the technical fields. Many INFJs perceive themselves at a disadvantage when dealing with the mystique and formality of "hard logic", and in academic terms this may cause a tendency to gravitate towards the liberal arts rather than the sciences. However, the significant minority of INFJs who do pursue studies and careers in the latter areas tend to be as successful as their T counterparts, as it is *iNtuition* -- the dominant function for the INFJ type -- which governs the ability to understand abstract theory and implement it creatively. In their own way, INFJs are just as much "systems builders" as are INTJs; the difference lies in that most INFJ "systems" are founded on human beings and human values, rather than information and technology. Their systems may for these reasons be conceptually "blurrier" than analogous NT ones, harder to measure in strict numerical terms, and easier to take for granted -- yet it is these same underlying reasons which make the resulting contributions to society so vital and profound. Beneath the quiet exterior, INFJs hold deep convictions about the weightier matters of life. Those who are activists - INFJs gravitate toward such a role - are there for the cause, not for personal glory or political power. INFJs are champions of the oppressed and downtrodden. They often are found in the wake of an emergency, rescuing those who are in acute distress.INFJs may fantasize about getting revenge on those who victimize the defenseless. The concept of 'poetic justice' is appealing to the INFJ. "There's something rotten in Denmark." Accurately suspicious about others' motives, INFJs are not easily led. These are the people that you can rarely fool any of the time.Though affable and sympathetic to most, INFJs are selective about their friends. Such a friendship is a symbiotic bond that transcends mere words. INFJs have a knack for fluency in language and facility in communication. In addition, nonverbal sensitivity enables the INFJ to know and be known by others intimately. Writing, counseling, public service and even politics are areas where INFJs frequently find their niche. Kiyohana is an INFJ....despite being a little more social. We seem to be similar. I suppose I must mirror a bit of myself into my characters. I can see her sister Kocho being a sticker ESFJ. I really would love to RP her someday, she's a graceful and beaming person as a dancer more social and most the opposite of meeee. XP Link to comment
