Naive Knight-to-be Seeks Connections

[Haecid]

A young immigrant Doman has been making it known at tourneys and taverns that he seeks honorable Eorzean warriors to learn from.

 

 

Who?

Haecid, a Doman refugee seeks to leave his tragic past behind and fulfill his dreams of becoming a legendary Eorzean knight, dispensing righteous justice across the land.

He currently hunts wild game to survive, earning a meager living in Thanalan, saving his coin to fund his fantasy.

The next step towards achieving that dream is learning as a humble squire to a (presumably) chivalrous Eorzean fighter. He aspires to learn the way of the sword, the shield, the lance, the greatsword and whatever else you might imagine being held aloft in an old, knightly storybook. He wishes to adopt knightly virtues like selflessness, bald-faced bravery, honesty and charity.

He also strives to break his relative solitude, find camaraderie and learn the social paradigms of this foreign land.

He will do anything to accomplish these goals.

 

You know, he's that guy. Very naive, fairly innocent, the white knight in training, always seeking quests, justice and adventure.

 

OOCly, I'm still a fledgling RPer trying to force myself into actually RPing.

I'd love to find a suitable Free Company, but contacts/friends/tutors are just as valuable.

Actually doing content is great, too, (fairly geared ninja) but is very secondary at this point to getting my RP-legs under me.

Availability is all over the place, often times I'm up at normal American times, often times I'm up at normal American vampire (European) times.

If you're someone with knowledge to pass on, ranks to fill or a person who thinks this wide-eyed fool would make a useful, malleable tool, this post is for you!

I think Ryn and Haecid could get along.  Perhaps not at first...Rogues are one of the worst kept secrets of Limsa Lominsa, but I could see fun times ahead.

Well I am seeking a student for a PLD/Knight PM me if you're interested for lessons.

Chachan trained for and somehow managed to become a Free Paladin in his own quest to be a Big Hero after coming over from Doma. So, he and Haecid might have a lot in common. Whether that's a good thing or not is still to be figured out, but the two could bump into each other at some point! The Sultansworn actually sent someone to him once already as a part of their Trials, so it wouldn't be stretch if Haecid might be as well.

 

... Though that was more for the mental aspects than actual training. Still! Might be a fun encounter regardless. Let me know!

I feel like Haecid and Ruran could have great interactions!

 

Ruran was once a 'white knight' type...until life punched him in the face one too many times. He still holds all of the virtues you listed, but with a much more somber undertone. Meeting Haecid could do him some good, maybe bring some optimism and idealism back. Or maybe Ruran could show Haecid that it's not all as great as it's set to be. Development, either way!

Howdy, squire! Phew, I'm finally almost through all my browser tabs to the more recent newcomers to the community. Yay!  I'm so glad I didn't miss out on greeting anybody. Ahem! If you're still branching out and making friends, do let me know, I've been thinking of setting up some sort of casual sparring events at my RP venue and it sounds like that might be something your character would find interesting.

I had the pleasure of RPing with Haecid on Monday and I thoroughly enjoyed the Au Ra embarrassing the heck out of Chachan. Good times. :thumbsup:
