Hey there!

 

I started playing FFXIV for the first time days ago, and I'm enjoying a lot the experience. It's my first mmo as well, so sorry if sometimes I look a bit clumsy getting lost in discussions (there are some terms I'm not familiar with, etc.). By the way, I've done roleplay in forums, and chats...and I was expecting to be able to do it in game as well. How should I start?

At the moment, I play in Ragnarok server...Is possible to find roleplayers there?

I'm interested in basic roleplay, something like meeting other adventures, go on missions together, just walk around while talking and playing the role of our character...etc >.< (create by ourselves our own story, haha). Ah!, I'm from Spain, so I can do roleplay in spanish too (don't feel shy about pointing out every mistake I make, seriously >.<U).

Welcome aboard! Much like you I was a new player playing my first serious MMO with the intents of roleplaying, not to long ago. I am sure you can find someone who is rping there and it doesn't hurt to ask around here.

Easiest way to tell is to check out the Linkshell Hall section and see if there are any listed for Ragnarok.

 

However, you're most likely to have better luck on Mateus, as it's the largest RP server you can still make a character on/transfer in to.

As for choosing a server, once world visits are turned on in a few weeks, then everyone in the Crystal datacenter will be able to visit each other. Meaning all of Crystal will become a de facto RP datacenter. So, it's best to choose one of the servers under Crystal:

I'm progressing the main story, and now I can travel around more places in Eorzea (Gridania, Limsa Lominsa and Ul'dah). I'm still using my free account, but since my experience has been so great,  I'll pay the month to enjoy it properly (now I can't whisper to anyone, neither make a party >~<U). 

I wish I could find fine people to roleplay, otherwise I can change the server to play n.n
