Vashies Rosada Posted June 27, 2013 Share #1 Posted June 27, 2013 Ok I'm basing this off of sword art online and I'm going give a simply story, rules and your job is is come up with a story. Story Yoshi P announces that Final Fantasy xvi will have a custom control that will be released at all stores every where. You buy this new control go home plug it in and start to play Final Fantasy xvi. You do your normal stuff in the game till you black out...... You wake up 30 mins later find your self in Ul' Dah with all the people around the world that was playing final fantasy with that control. Yoshi shows up on a giant chocobo to tell you and the others that you are now part of them game! He all so tells you that your soul is trapped in the game and if you die in the game your heart in your real body will stop. Yoshi tells you the controller you bought was cursed with a magic that only the one who cast it could break it. Yoshi all so tells you the only way he break it is if you beat the Empire and save Eorzea. Yoshi makes it clear to you that no one can enter the game or leave till this is done, every one starts at level one and as he laughs says as a bonus what you look like in real if is what you like in the game but with some changes depend on your players race. Yoshi rides off in to the sky and leaves you with more questions then answers. Rules 1.you cant turn your self in to a god or with powers/ skills that are not in the game. All game rules apply for sub classes and other classes skills. 2. you can party/ play along with your league, and or friends in this as long as you follow rule one. 3. If you pick to Role play with other players please respect their story. 4. there is no pvp in this. 5. Respect people disability's such grammar and spelling. 6. Have fun with this! Link to comment
Varus Posted June 27, 2013 Share #2 Posted June 27, 2013 Someone watched SAO lately haha! Well here we go: Using FFXIV's current mechanics, I would split my stats between VIT/DEX/MND. Since there were only 30 points available in the beta, I would go 15/10/5. This gives me a decent HP pool as a Glad/PLD (4k) with improved chance to block/parry and also increases my healing potency a bit (depending on tests, if 5 MND isn't that influential, I would pour it into DEX instead for 15/15). For materia I would slot VIT/STR/DEX/MND. Preferably I would cap out VIT for the max amount of HP available to my class/job and allocate the rest to STR and DEX. If I had any extra space left, I would go for a bit of MND. For subskills, I would focus on leveling Conj/MRD. For a craft, I would level Alchemy for the wide variety of potions! Alchemy is also a good foundation craft because it creates parts necessary for all the other crafts! You can tell that my build focuses more on survivability than DPS. EDIT: If the game became "real" then I would not bother RPing. I'd be focused on surviving. Link to comment
Vashies Rosada Posted June 27, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted June 27, 2013 1. I would be scared......and think back when my mom told me that video games and smoking would kill me ( little did she know)..... wait im a CAT MAN! 2. I guess I try find a group of people to party with or maybe a free company 3. i train none stop because i have no clue how to weld a spear or be lancer in real life..... 4. i put my stats in dex and vit for all dodging and parrying. 5. I try make life with my friends as fun as i can since we never know when it might end. 6. try stay away from high level fates. 7. buy real payers craft stuff because their stuff is better. 8. after awhile i think grow to like being in final fantasy. 9. try not die and protect my new family while we fight to save the word. Black Posted June 27, 2013 Share #4 Posted June 27, 2013 Hmmm... 1) I would try to find my way into the heart of the computer, defeat the Master Computer, possibly linking with another related world. ...or failing that, I would go out on the greater 'net and become a guardian! nAuNBz8EZEM That is all. Mayumi Shiro Posted June 27, 2013 Share #5 Posted June 27, 2013 1: Be frightened and upset that I'm away from my family..and that apparently I'm a cat dude. 2: Given the rules and circumstances, begin crafting, focusing in on Alchemy and Cullinary skills and possibly branching out from there. Make a good chunk of gil, buy a nice house and live life to the best I can. I wouldn't entirely be interested in risking my life and limb going out there beating up the bads. 3: The only game that I've honestly thought would almost be a reasonable one to live in would be Skyrim. Housing, food, supplies, etc etc. (Merciless dragons out to kill me...oh well there' salways a down side) Link to comment

Dogberry Posted June 28, 2013 Share #8 Posted June 28, 2013 I'd spend an entire episode sitting on a pier and referencing Waiting for Godot. Link to comment
Gimlette Posted June 28, 2013 Share #9 Posted June 28, 2013 *snickers* The sudden ability to blow things up with the power of my will, intelligence and my mind? BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *clears throat* i mean..um. So, obviously, i'd lvl Conj. And then Tham...and then blm and whm. >.> Cause...blowing shit up with the power of my mind :bouncy: that's like crack for a chick with an irish temper. ...and being the natural healer that i am i'm sure whm would come easily to me. RP...well, why play a character when i can be myself, i'm sure i'd go on writing storys. I wouldnt mind being in such a beautiful dangerous world i know that for sure. As for crafting and gathering...oh yes...my pretties. Cooking and Alchemy for sure, as well as botany and fishing. Link to comment
Gimlette Posted June 28, 2013 Share #11 Posted June 28, 2013 I would simply rejoice. in a nutshell. Yes. Link to comment
M'risha Posted June 30, 2013 Share #12 Posted June 30, 2013 I would play with my ears and tail for a few hours before becoming a cook and gorging myself on delishus Eorzea foods, since FF characters never get fat, ever! #thuglife Link to comment
LandStander Posted June 30, 2013 Share #13 Posted June 30, 2013 I would be grateful that I choose a Roegadyn over a Lallafell, and then I would sabotage everyone's attempts to beat the game because magic is much more fun than working a crappy 9-5 job. Link to comment
Tivahlt Posted July 1, 2013 Share #14 Posted July 1, 2013 Depending on which character I ended up as, I'd either mourn the loss of my perfect rack (granted it would be in exchange for ears, a tail, and a rockin' six pack) or jump for joy at finally being taller than everyone. After that, I'd probably just stay and have fun with black magic and sharp things. Real life is a terrible place. I don't know why people keep going there. Link to comment
Koninbeor Posted July 1, 2013 Share #15 Posted July 1, 2013 I'd spend an entire episode sitting on a pier and referencing Waiting for Godot. As long as you're rockin' some nifty face paint, I approve. Link to comment
Tosheden Posted July 1, 2013 Share #16 Posted July 1, 2013 Go literally kick Bahamut's ass. Or try to and fail horribly. Link to comment

I eat til i throw up then it some more... but not my throw up. Real life is a terrible place. I don't know why people keep going there. I laughed so hard i wet my self...... I hide nothing Link to comment

Koninbeor Posted July 2, 2013 Share #20 Posted July 2, 2013 I would make best friends with a White Mage so that he/she could rez me when I die against level 1 creatures. Link to comment
Momoji Momochi Posted July 2, 2013 Share #21 Posted July 2, 2013 Well, I'd probably begin work as a merchant or librarian given my extensive education background. However, my off-world knowledge makes me a god among men there, and I could easily dissect a magitech walker and begin the process of building my own production facility, creating cheap, disposable weapons useable by infantry to take out any of the magitech weapons they have demonstrated in game. Hidden land mines containing combustive materials mixed with a fire spell, lightning powered tesla rifles, long distance missiles propelled by areo, etc. I ask you, what is a gigantic armored blimp to half a dozen armor piercing magitech missiles? Well, better get started... :geek: Gwahahaha! The thing is, I do have skills that don't exist in game.: Calculus, physics, basic chemistry, and an otherwise strong science background. That will change how I as a character interact with the world. I simply could never be encapsulated as a mere thaumaturge. While they fight an open war, I'd be beating back the Empire with trenches, mobile black powder cannons, and greek fire. Hydaelyn's magic mixed with even basic physics and chemistry is a lethal combination. Certainly I'd need time to adapt, but dropping a highly educated person from our world into their's is essentially dropping a god into their world. Link to comment
Gaspard Posted September 3, 2014 Share #22 Posted September 3, 2014 Hm. Create a Lalafell football league. As in, use the Lalafells as a football league. And I'd open a Brothel in Ul'dah. Then ofcourse comes immortality/becoming a God of War by fucking over the twelve. Yeah, my goals are modest Link to comment
Berrod Armstrong Posted September 3, 2014 Share #23 Posted September 3, 2014 Pack up and move to Little Ala Mhigo. Mmmmm. Link to comment
Unnamed Mercenary Posted September 3, 2014 Share #24 Posted September 3, 2014 Pet all the Miqo'te. I've probably end up becoming a crafter of sorts, since all my DoH classes and DoL classes are leveled. If it were a combat-only scenario, then I'd probably try to stick to SCH or maybe WAR if we went full-SAO style and couldn't use magic. Link to comment
Warren Castille Posted September 3, 2014 Share #25 Posted September 3, 2014 I'd go full-native. Beerback in the Quicksand. Flirt with Aya. Living the life of an NPC. Link to comment
