ArmachiA Posted July 24, 2013 Share #26 Posted July 24, 2013 Loki Past: Looking for equipment to go Spelunking in caves around Ul'dah, where the Crimson Blade headquarters was. She spent a lot of time in the miner's guild, either getting drunk or making connections. In Limsa Lominsa, as she was a pirate, she hung out at the Bismark quite often. A beach. Pick one. Now At a beach. She's been spending quite a bit of time at Costa Del Sol, but it can be too loud for her liking. Still, you'll see her there a lot Limsa Lominsa, running around like a chicken with her head cut off. Night Blades recently settled there and she's helping get them grounded. Though she hasn't had much time for it, you'll still catch her in a bar from time to time. Armi Past: Sanctum of the Twelve. She would go there a lot to pray to Nymeia that the threads of fate were turned in her friends favor. Ul'dah, getting supplies for being a medic to her team. Honestly she wasn't seen much outside. If anyone saw her it would be at the Sanctum Present: Sanctum of the Twelve. Though for very different reasons. Armi's crisis of faith is manifesting in strange ways and she's angry. Where better to yell at the God's she once worshiped so willingly. She doesn't want to ADMIT she's angry, so this is the only place where she's really get her rage on. Limsa Lominsa. She never really went there in the past and is struggling with settling there now. She'll look lost, a little frightened, but not meak. The Culinary Guild. Armi loves to cook and it calms her nerves. Constant target practice outside of the Archer's guild in Gridania. Link to comment

Clover Posted July 24, 2013 Share #28 Posted July 24, 2013 Clover before the Calamity: -As a kid, she just helped her parents in a vegetables and fruits store at Gridania. Nothing memorable. Clover after the Calamity: -She's been helping her grandpa with his magic shop in Limsa Lominsa. Even after her grandpa has died, Clover is still running the shop on her own. If any mage from Limsa Lominsa needs to do some shopping, they might have visited it. Link to comment
PaperLife Posted July 24, 2013 Share #29 Posted July 24, 2013 My character isn't well known at all. But who knows, maybe you'll see him around. Best place to find him is in his bakery on Emerald Avenue, where he's always experimenting with new recipes. Frondale's Phrontistery is another place he's at often, learning new formulae's at the Alchemist's Guild. Somewhere else he visits, but less frequently, is Eshtaime's Lapidaries. He doesn't go for anything more than looking at shinies and bothering his friend Bernardt though. Bernardt joined the Goldsmithe's Guild at the same time that Edmont joined the Alchemist's Guild. Any other free time Edmont has is spent randomly around Ul'dah. He often goes outside the city's walls to help Bernardt too. Link to comment
Sienna Posted July 24, 2013 Share #30 Posted July 24, 2013 Pre-1568 - The kid of Arlon Skye, one of the more trustworthy and reliable merchants of the Ruby Road exchange. Often seen playing with the Rental Chocobo in Ul'Dah. 1568-1572 - Now a merchant herself, taking over for her dad's stall. Seller of jewellery and ornate weapons (Decorative pieces) that she makes herself. Also known to frequent the Mineral Concern from 1570 onwards. ---- 1572 onwards (for those with Calamnesia) - Who? 1572 onwards (for those who timeskipped) - Same as 1572 and earlier 1572 onwards (for those who didn't timeskip but have the Echo) - The girl who had a merchant stall but up and vanished for five years after the Battle of Carteneau. 1 Link to comment

K'nahli Posted July 24, 2013 Share #32 Posted July 24, 2013 You may know or have seen Andre Winter... Pre-Calamity: No real notable existence other than being a citizen of Ul'dah and a young knight-in-training. Post-Calamity: Stepping in as a part-time bard in local pubs and restaurants in Ul'dah. It would have been noticed that he is easy-going, friendly and social. He has not been seen around the city for a number of months. A lesser known fact is that he served as a city guard before his disappearance. Picture: Gender Male Race Hy'ur Clan Midlander Citizenship Ul'dah Age 21 I'd encourage people to also post pictures of their characters once and if they get the chance assuming people should recognise your physical appearance. After all, if someone has earned any form of recognition in any area then locals of the area may be more familiar with one's appearance before their name. Link to comment
Nako-Chan Posted July 24, 2013 Share #33 Posted July 24, 2013 You might know N'akocha Teh from... Gridania, The Conjurer's Guild - N'akocha could be spotted around the Conjurer's guild, often eager to do E-Sumi-Yan's bidding be the task grand or menial. Limsa Lominsa, Arcanist's Guild - Professor, Part-Time Teacher of new Scholars... or just browsing books. Her alias of "Mnemonic" and "Mist" might also be known here. Ul'Dah - On the rare occasion in Ul'Dah's streets, fulfilling her dream of being a Dancer/Songstress. Link to comment
Raccoon Posted July 25, 2013 Share #34 Posted July 25, 2013 Dietrych Brownlowe Pre-Cataclysm: For those passing through the farming village of Brownlowe, he was probably just a face in the crowd, slightly cleaner and slightly better dressed than the farmers one might have passed. Post-Cataclysm: In the recent aftermath of the Cataclysm, anyone who survived it may have encountered him as he wandered about, helping those who needed it and pointing the way to safety, but never speaking. If not, you may have heard a dozen or so separate accounts of his actions from the survivors, that he simply rescued them from whatever harm had befallen them and pointed them toward safety, sometimes even sharing what food and water he had with him to help them on their way, but nothing more than that. You may also have heard further counts of heroic actions in the wilder parts of the continent, with no accounts being anywhere near what could amount to civilization, in the five years since the cataclysm. You may even have heard of his moniker as the "silent knight". Zirnansa Swarzoeng Pre-Cataclysm: If you were around between 20-30 years ago, anyone passing through a Sea Wolf fishing village may have heard of a child with that first name, likely with some mention of him being worthless and always gone when there was work to be done. If you were around 20 years ago, you may have heard that Captain Swarzoeng of the Blacktongue Pirates had taken in a ten year old Roegadyn child. By approximately 5 years later, he had already gotten his name on a wanted poster. Cataclysm/Post-Cataclysm: The Blacktongues managed to ride out the worst of the Cataclysm by being out at sea. This put them in a prime position to resume raiding against a people that had practically no means to defend themselves. This naturally made them evil in the eyes of just about everyone and prime targets. Though they were eventually either killed outright or captured and hanged, he will have managed to survive. But by keeping his chosen surname, anyone who has ever been harmed by the Blacktongues, or perhaps anyone who hates pirates in general, will undoubtedly spot the connection. He has since taken up residence in Limsa Lominsa, believing himself to be under the radar in respect to the Admiral and her Knights. They are merely waiting to see if he falls back on old habits, possibly hoping to snare him along with a new band of pirates. Anyone with a residence down by the water, or near the shipbuilding guild, will likely have encountered him. You are likely to spot him in taverns, often late in the day, lamenting over trying his best but failing. He also frequents the city's brothels, though if you know him from there, well... he won't judge, at least. Link to comment

Caysen Posted July 25, 2013 Share #36 Posted July 25, 2013 You may recognize Caysen from... Past: The Fisher's Guild. His father is a fisherman, so he spent a lot of time there since childhood. His grandfather's clock shop* in Limsa. He worked there as an apprentice for many years, pre-Calamity. Sitting at the harbor watching ships come and go. Exploring around La Noscea. Recent: Archer's, Musketeer's and Arcanist's guilds, where he practices. Any given Adventurer's guild. Any place with particularly nice scenery, often sketching the landscape in a journal. Sleeping in trees while out traveling. *Currently unnamed. Working on that. Link to comment
K'nahli Posted July 26, 2013 Share #37 Posted July 26, 2013 You may have heard of or seen Alex Hawthorn... Pre-Calamity: A black-haired teenager hanging around with the wrong crowds and causing trouble within Limsa Lominsa. Post-Calamity: An active and infamous bounty hunter. Shows little-to-no regard for those he has captured/killed and will follow almost any bounty so long as the coin is right. Due to being a particularly skilled and fierce warrior, he demonstrates a cocky nature and very arrogant attitude in many situations. His success rate has lulled him into a sense of invulnerability. He wears very distinguishable black armour and is considerably wealthy, allowing him to bribe his way out or into many places/situations. Low-Z Posted July 26, 2013 Share #38 Posted July 26, 2013 You might have seen Low in or around Ul'dah starting a few months after the calamity and more recently pushing his business to Limsa Lominsa as well. Sometimes in the shadows of back alleys or at the doorsteps of the wealthy elite. Gil is gil and Low doesn't discriminate between customers and their social status as long as they're able to compensate him for his resourcefulness and risk-taking, providing whatever substance brings an all-too-temporary end to their craving of choice. He also frequents places that display scantily clad women like those dancers in Ul'dah or any sort of seedy bar or club type establishment like that and can sometimes be seen chatting up the girls, or possibly subtly engaging in business transactions with them. LandStander Posted August 4, 2013 Share #39 Posted August 4, 2013 - If your character is a business owner or someone who would loan people money as Dennthota has a gambling problem and is constantly borrowing money from people. This has caused her to rack up debt in all corners of Eorzea. - If your character was in Ul'dah 8-13 years ago and ever gambled as she ran with a street gang (would like some real connections here and not just npcs ) where she would rig games of chance and rip travelers off. - If your character tends to frequent bars around Thanalan you may have come across a loud mouthed rowdy Roegadyn woman and may have ever got into a little tussle with her as well. Edit: - Law enforcement characters might know her from her stubborn nature and refusal to bow to authority which has gotten her thrown in jail on multiple occasions. Mostly in Ul'dah but a few times in Limsa Lomsa as well. Link to comment

DreamedReality Posted August 5, 2013 Share #48 Posted August 5, 2013 Starting about three years ago. When he was a wandering drunkard from the outskirts of the Shroud. Perhaps you gambled with him. Gave him a handout. Had a drunken brawl with him. Or perhaps you taunted him and scorned him. Or simply tried your best to ignore him. Very recently, you might have seen him in Ul'dah. He seems to have cleaned himself up and has not been begging or drunk as far as anyone has seen, if one recognizes him from the Black Shroud region. Rumor has it that he's joined the adventurer's guild. And he's been seen around the pugilists guild. Link to comment
John Spiegel Posted August 5, 2013 Share #49 Posted August 5, 2013 John Spiegel - He's a seasoned adventurer with countless stories about his deeds (good and bad). Depending where/when you've met him, you might think he's a good guy or a bad guy. Like, there's times he's rampaging against a bunch of unarmed people and gets covered in guts and blood (turns out, OMG, they're god damn monks!) Or other times he's drinking milk at a bar. (omg, tuff guy!) He doesn't care about ranks (he'd tell someone to blow their rank out of their ass if they used that as some sort of entitlement badge) or names, hell, he rarely ever uses his full birthname, let alone gives anything past "JJ" because he likes that shortness of it (or something). 1527 - (age 12) - JJ's parents died when he was 2. JJ was at an Ala Mhigo military orphanage thing. JJ killed a mean dude in Ala Mhigo that brutally beat someone JJ cared for and got the hell out of Dodge. 1530 - 1545 (15-30) - JJ gained a name for himself as an adventurer and fighter, though you would get mixed signals. Age 16 he burned his scalp leading to him being bald. Age 23 he lost his right eye. So he's ~6'6", bald, eyepatched and carries either a greatsword/scythe or both at times in solid darksteel armor. 1545 - 1557 (30-42) - JJ kind of dropped off the map or at least didn't go slay dragons and crap for a couple years (wanted to raise kids in a non-single-parent home) JJ and family work as smugglers and live some ways out of Ala Mhigo, getting people that were being killed for their beliefs out of the nation when King Theodorac came into power (1552). When the Garleans came through, JJ his wife and a couple monks fought them off to buy everyone else time to escape. 1557 - 1572 (42-54) - JJ returns to full-time adventuring. His children are adults, his wife was killed, his home (second time his life got dropkicked majorly). He just got up, dusted himself off and went onward to new adventures. 1572 - JJ was at Bahamut's Big Birthday Hissy Fit. He fought as a freelance fighter, refusing to fly any of the defending nations' sigils or even his fallen homeland. Got timewarped. Link to comment
