Vix Posted August 21, 2013 Share #51 Posted August 21, 2013 For those who were able to register without issue. Is anything underneath your Square Account (the one where you setup payment and such), showing anything different? I registered my code correctly (if I try to do it again, I get a 'code is already in use' message). But I never got a confirmation email, nor has anything changed on my account management page. shotgunbadger Posted August 21, 2013 Share #52 Posted August 21, 2013 Yea that found it, yea no options for payment or anything yet, but it does say FFXIV under "Active Service Accounts" so I just assume that means we're all kosher. Link to comment

Where do you see that, 'Active service accounts'? I see FFXIV under my account, but the registration on it is when I signed up for 1.0 (2010). Link to comment

I wasn't in 1.0 and I still have not been able to input my 18 digit code. Link to comment

Where do you see that, 'Active service accounts'? I see FFXIV under my account, but the registration on it is when I signed up for 1.0 (2010). When I click on 'select service' and the FF14 image it brings up the "On this page you can perform various actions on FINAL FANTASY XIV service accounts" and the "code registration is currently unavailable" page, and then right under that it lists Active Service Accounts and Cancelled Service Accounts, FFXIV is listed under the active part. This is a fresh account too, not my old 1.0 one. When I go to my profile proper it also listed FFXIV as registered (oddly it's dated as registered yesterday though?) Link to comment

My FFXIV is registered as active, but still holds my old 1.0 registration date (like I mentioned before). However on the other Square site, it shows as registered for today. SO confusing! Raccoon Posted August 21, 2013 Share #57 Posted August 21, 2013 Yeah, that separate account thing is doing my head in. On the old square enix account site, I've got the original FFXIV registered and all, and all my credentials are right. Then this new one doesn't have any of my credentials but ARR is registered. shotgunbadger Posted August 21, 2013 Share #58 Posted August 21, 2013 Yea at this stage I just don't think there's anything we can do once we've entered the 20 digit code and shit. I'm gonna stop worrying and just chillax until EA. Link to comment

I had that problem and reentering it got me the correct region code. Link to comment
Valtiere Posted August 21, 2013 Share #62 Posted August 21, 2013 If anyone is still getting the Error 3 problem, I found this on the Beta forums - it might help. "What finally worked for me was editing my profile settings. Basically, after going to the pre-order code entry site and picking your language, it asks you to log in. After you log in (you may need to fill in some information) it'll take you to the code entry page. Instead of entering the code, I clicked my newly chosen handle in the upper right corner of the page. That displayed a drop down, and I clicked the "My Profile" option. That took me to the profile details page. I filled in the information there and noticed that my language was set to English (UK). I changed that to English (US), saved my information, went back to the pre-order page, and was able to enter in my code without any problems." I was still getting the Error 3 this morning even though a lot of other people seem to be getting through just fine. After doing the above it actually fixed it for me. I don't know if that's helpful for anyone else, but I thought it wise to share it on anyway; just in case. Link to comment
Chris Posted August 23, 2013 Author Share #63 Posted August 23, 2013 Forgot to mention this a day or two ago, finally got mine to redeem and got everything squared away. It just took me getting the Error 3 about five times in a row before it took the code and spit back out my 20 digit one to apply. Link to comment
