Looking for RPers! [Character: Ophelia]

OKAY SO.

 

I really need to come out of my shell and post on here more often, but here is my primary proposal...thing for this.

 

I've been wanting to get Ophelia and her RP start off the ground for a while, so I sort of just leveled her up a lot until I could access most places people seem to be using for locations. Now that she's 30 and just about a Black Mage, I think the time is right!

 

ANYWAYS.

 

There are a couple ways I was hoping I could make connections through her.

 

 

 

Teahouse - She owns a teahouse in Ul'dah. I haven't established a location exactly for it yet, as I was probably going to have it more reliant on player housing or some such. But until then I'll figure something out. Either way - She runs a teahouse in Ul'dah and, naturally, needs employees (or even just patrons if you wanna poke me!). Sometimes she isn't present at the workplace for several days, however, whether it be because of personal business or simply travelling to find more herbs and ingredients for her tea.

 

I have an extensive menu and she even has an NPC-esque fat angry moogle named Potluck to help out.

 

Your character not the type for some dainty teas? Well she has a speakeasy. Considering alcohol isn't really illegal by any means in Eorzea, I've fashioned it to be more of a "pirate" safe haven. Or any other people in that general field. She doesn't necessarily support people who are just bad people in general, but rather wants to provide support for those who are only living for adventure, or perhaps friends who need a place to hide. Etc. Etc. Talk to me! We can work something out.

 

(For anyone unaware: A speakeasy was a hidden bar, basically, during a time in which alcohol was illegal. It was served and you could booze it up to your hearts content and party.)

 

Even in the teahouse and obviously in the speakeasy, she does serve alcohol. She will happily mix it in with your tea, too, or even mix in an elixer of your choice (ether, potion, etc.).

 

 

 

On the flip side of things, I'm also more than open to any ideas if you'd have like to been related to and/or simply knew Ophelia growing up.

 

History - She is a sunseeker miqo'te- as was her mother- father being a highlander hyur. She was raised outside of anything tribal and doesn't have much familiarity with the practices of her heritage.

 

She was born in Limsa Lominsa and raised there up until she was 15 under practical lock and key. As a young noble, it was pressured upon her to be a "proper lady" and not do any of that adventuring nonsense. She still snuck out from time to time, which only made her parents' guard on her get worse. At the age of 15 is when the Calamity struck. Seizing the (albeit morbid) opportunity, she stole a hefty sum of cash from their little vault and took off, letting her family believe she perished in the destruction. To this day, she tries avoiding going to Limsa (though has on occasion, if not being ridiculously and almost comically paranoid while doing so).

 

Aside from her tea-loving aspirations, she can sing and dance and has oft dreamt of being a songstress in the lands of Eorzea, bringing happiness through song. However, she's never really taken the opportunity to further it and may or may not be just a little stage shy.

 

Instead she took to turning her dance into a form of martial arts (and not capoeira I swear please don't ask me anymore). It is one of the more surprising things people learn considering her small stature and frame, but she seems to pack a good wallop.

 

 

I put it in spoilers 'cause it got just a bit long and I think I just started rambling.

 

But yes. I was just hoping to get her involved with more people. I'd really like to RP her and have fun.

That is horrible. Denn actually has a character from her past with the same name and I really hoped she would fit the role enough to where I could rewrite the ladies history to fit yours, but sadly it cannot ; ;. She is suppose to have been married before, but lost her husband to the Calamity. There is a child involved as well, but that is up in the air.

 

Anyway...Would she be willing to hide people who may be Garleans, but not open about it who they really are?
