Gideon Aryeh Posted December 15, 2013 Share #26 Posted December 15, 2013 This is probably the first time I've ever wished for a cash shop because I'd rather buy these with real money instead of run like a damn hamster on a wheel to grind content over and over again. Link to comment
doctorgalactic Posted December 15, 2013 Share #27 Posted December 15, 2013 This is probably the first time I've ever wished for a cash shop because I'd rather buy these with real money instead of run like a damn hamster on a wheel to grind content over and over again. I hear you Rock; if we could drop a micro transaction sale for the housing I'd do it in a heartbeat. I'll never support RMT, but these prices seem like a sting operation for those that have. What happened to accessibility and casual play? I don't think that the Drifter's are by ANY means slackers when it comes to raising funds for housing, and I'm proud of the nearly 10 million gil we've gathered since launch of 2.0. But that's a drop in the bucket in regards to what's being demanded of us. Link to comment
Kieron Lohengrin Posted December 15, 2013 Share #28 Posted December 15, 2013 godly monk and marauder buffs caster and bard nerfs (specifically whm holy and bard RoD) looks overall like more anti-speedrun measures and gil sinks to fix the economy hope pvp gear isnt just darklight recolors Link to comment
CalebAgron Posted December 16, 2013 Share #29 Posted December 16, 2013 *sigh* and here i thought my 2-300k donation would make a difference...lawls NOT. I mean I get it, they should be relatively expensive...but really..300mil? As someone pointed out its the ROLEPLAYERS who will make the most use out of them...and most roleplayers dont farm shit for gil. Link to comment
ansemaru Posted December 16, 2013 Share #30 Posted December 16, 2013 If at all possible, I want to avoid a scenario in which massive numbers of FCs have to merge together. I love the RP community, but I wouldn't want to share a house with all of you guys, if you get what I'm saying. My FC is a small, tight-knit group with a coherent theme and tone, and giving that up for a massive group that can pool their money together for a single house would ruin a lot of what I love about it for roleplaying. I genuinely hope Square sees the massively negative reaction to the housing prices and changes the pricing rates for the houses. Link to comment
shotgunbadger Posted December 16, 2013 Share #31 Posted December 16, 2013 It's pretty much absurd as it is now, and like already said if the fix for personal houses is even as much as half the price of FC houses you're pricing a large chunk of people out. That said there's also a factor of people seeming to be upset they can't buy the biggest house and focusing on that. I'd honestly rather see a more even spread than them dropping the huge houses down to cheap. Link to comment
Roen Posted December 17, 2013 Share #32 Posted December 17, 2013 I agree, the pricing for the FC houses seems pretty ridiculous, especially given that RPers don't usually grind for money. And I would have loved to see a whole neighborhood of RP FCs, to have the potential to walk around and run into random RP in a concentrated area without trolls (they are few and far in between, but I run into a few in taverns). But a part of me was also worried that if all the RP FCs had their own houses, I would rarely see them RP in a group in a public area. Why, the other day, I overheard some fascinating conversations in Coffer and Coffin, that honestly if they had their own FC housing, the nature of their conversation may have been in the FC house. Which then I would have missed out on. My character didn't get involved or eavesdrop since it is not her nature, but I enjoyed listening to it nonetheless. So... while I love the idea of FC housing, and will work to do what I can to contribute to my own FC funds, I wonder if it will diminish roleplay in public areas. I hope that does not happen, since I enjoy chance encounters. Link to comment
