At the least we can agree that at the depths of every man's soul is a floor, and with sufficient tragedy we can all go crashing through the bottom. After a certain height it doesn't matter what you are made of.

Not if you're Oscare. That floor doesn't exist.

IC Jin'li feels nothing cause he is insane and did what he did to remove a threat.

 

OOC, I kinda feel bad. Looking back, I realize just how utterly meticulous I was planning this (confession: I spent 

a whole real world week planning how to bring you down Osric.) You have one of my favorite characters and I promise your service to Jin'li as his prized servant will not 

be long. In fact, Im planning on kicking the event off rather 

soon.:thumbsup:

 

Also, I did deliberately do something that you may not suspect yet but a certain "bomb kitty" certainly does know. Something that keeps Ossy inside the game.

Hopefully Askier or Haeden (or even osric ;p) can chime in on this. Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone.

 

If your character is known with the Immortal Flames I think it would be quite easy to do so? As well as Sultansworn or Brass Blades.

 

If one is a Free Paladin, perhaps they noticed and heard about some bad things and went to investigate with the Immortal Flames, concerned?

As Kage is the only Brass Blade of an officer capacity (aka not a grunt) being currently active and RPing, and the fact that last night was just too hectic for anyone to not be swamped, Kage wasn't able to get any info ICly from those he knew were involved at the Quicksand in the aftermath... is there any official channels of information that are out there for him to know about the water poisoning and what measures the Brass Blades can even start taking in terms of that? All he knows ICly is that the city was under attack and Osric [Jin'li] and Melkire are involved but he has wasn't able to successfully get any information on anything else.

 

Kage is a lieutenant and any RP'd captains are MIA.

 

 

Ok, Aya informed the Blades I believe, if not we can assume they were informed one way or another. I IC'ed over the LS that I was ordering Flames to all waterholes to prevent civilians from drinking. The Red Wings (in their public capacity as disaster relief) are overseeing the transport of water from Eastern Thanalan, but the supply will be limited and will have to be rationed. Erik was going to coordinate with BBs but I was unsure who was still a Blade at this point. The Alchemist Guild was contacted to examine the water because all we know is something was poured into it. Its not to much of an ic jump to think poison, but regardless the Alchemist are looking to find what is in it and counteract it.

 

You can post this up on the thread if you like to avoid confusion. If you are "the" Blade at the moment we need to meet IC and sort this out. Even though there was an attack, there is a relief angle, so that make the Wings the lead as far as the Flames go. Since I heard you are operational security, and since there are parallels to RL, that would put you and your's in command Blade wise.

 

 

At this point I'd say city is aware. I know a few people were rp testing the water and kahn'a knows the water is posioned as for warren cause he caught Jin'li in the act so I'd say at this time the city is aware of the danger and words of mouth probably should have carried to Kage at this point.

 

Erik, Kahn'a or Askier could all tell him what is going on at this time since they are part of ul'dah law enforcement and would have a reason to communicate with kage during this time.

 

Also the Melkire's contact LS has people all IC spreading information. I think Kahn'a was ordering the water shut down for test to so I would definatly think the Brass Blades would have been brought it to contain people from the water. 

 

Honestly, the only current services left standing RP-wise are the Yataghans and the Red Wings. Brass Blades are in chaos, the Flames are scattered, the 'sworn are down to just Erik....

 

Red Wings is the place to go to right now for information of any kind. Yataghans keep mostly to themselves, I've noticed. 

 

So you'd be after Kahn'a or Erik to get looped in.

To avoid confusion because there are lots of questions that I at least have...

 

Several of these replies have mentioned Linkshells - none of which Kage is in or were used as far as I know last night. In fact the only ones Kage used were his personal ones as well as the one for the Quicksand.

 

How are the Brass Blades in chaos? Is this something that is being decided OOCly by people who aren't RPing as Brass Blades as far as the story is going in this event?

 

Are we assuming that martial law is in effect so that Immortal Flames have more authority in the matters of the enforcement of law in the city? What is the chain of command in that matter then?

 

As it is, in Kage's capacity as Lieutenant acting under orders of a Brass Blade captain, he's got standing orders for all Blades to bring in by any means necessary short of death:

Jin'li - For those who have physical descriptions he's asking for people to spread word of his appearance, for he's known to be pulling Melkire's strings.

Osric Melkire and any known associates of his for his part in the attack on Ul'dah that led to the deaths of hundreds of innocent people. Melkire is to be held down or his associates are to be held for questioning of his whereabouts or information regarding why he is being played with.
