Q5: There is a lot of equipment for summoner and bard where stats such as spell speed and skill speed do not really match the concept of the job. These aren’t very advantageous, so will you be making adjustments to this in the future?

 

A5: We’ve made it so that for FINAL FANTASY XIV the ultimate goal is to obtain raid level equipment. However, we’ve added various stats to equipment due to the fact that there would no longer be a need for equipment that can be purchased with Allagan tomestones of poetics or equipment made by Disciples of the Hand.

 

We’ve been carefully looking over the feedback we’re receiving and we will be looking into what we will do moving forward.

 

It's quite simple really. Stop giving SMNs more and more useless spell speed and give us access to more critical chance+determination. In case you forgot, team, SMNs have a built-in system where, if we get a critical hit, we get an 8 second spell-speed buff. That, and critical DoTs do more damage than regular DoTs. SMNs are a class heavily reliant on critical hits, so can we have some more, please?

 

Q15: As a fresh level 50 player, it’s difficult to obtain the previous Allagan tomestone of mythology gear (item level 90 gear) because they can only be obtained through the new dungeons. Are there any easier ways to obtain these pieces of gear?

 

A15: We are currently discussing ways to address this matter. We moved the item level 90 gear to the newer dungeons with item desynthesis and grand company turn-ins in mind, but we realized this made it harder for the newer players to obtain the item level 90 gear.

 

You don't say? I mean, you only did the same with Darklight in the same stroke as making it dyeable gear!

 

However, we are actually adding a fake moustache for the Starlight Celebration…

Ladies will also be able to wear this!

 

We’re also currently making an afro hairstyle.

We will try to increase the amount of character options via glamour (i.e. using hair extensions introduced in the upcoming Starlight Celebration event, etc.).

While there isn’t too much we can reveal at this time, just to give you a preview, we are currently discussing a new type of content where you will control your own unit for your grand company, add NPCs in your unit, and take them to dungeons to level them up.

The Coil news about being able to help friends but not rolling on loot? Best news in a LONG time.

I want all the wedding things. I proposed to my Highlander raid member after being rejected. "Hey, ____, marry you Big Hulking DRG <3! I'll pay for the wedding."

 

I think I was still rejected.

 

I can't wait to take advantage of being able to help friends get accustomed to coil without having to deal with lockouts. But then it's still FCOB. People will still need to clear T9 to get there. Or T5 and T9.

He's actually a highlander...cause Kage is FemRoe prejudiced. Then again Kage doesn't care much about that anymore.

 

He'd mail-order any bride. Or groom. Kage don't hate on gender. *nod*

I'm surprised no one has commented on the fact that the paid marriage plan exists.

Eh - I've reached this state of being where implementing paid upgrading of something is fine unless it directly affects PvE/PvP performance to a point where it's obligatory to do so.

 

Same. I thought it'd be impossible to get to 2-star handland for me, but I'm closer than ever.

 

(Also, I SBed into a few Gatherer IVs so... yeah)

Lol, dragoon will onne day be the BLM of Melee DPS.

 

Monk still needs greesed light ing buff.

 

While i dont mind NIN having more utility than lolgoon, they need their DPS nerfed big time. Otherwise, they outclass dragoon.

 

Yay for no more positional requirments for dragoon.

Monks don't need any buffs at all lol. Like, zero -- they have the highest DPS output among melee; it's just that the skill ceiling to attain the highest DPS is higher (it isn't even -that- high, you just need to focus and be very aware of what's going on). The way it should be! 

 

If monks get any buffs at this point it'd be...well, wow.

The time monk DPS drops is usually when they have intermittent times where everyone is stopped. Nothing to attack. Nothing to use to keep stacks up.

Yep! And when the attacking starts again, it's easy to just ramp it all up. GET BACK IN DAT ZONE.

Personally I've never found a good solution to Paladin snap aggro. There's cases where a charged Halone will give you good enmity but for snap aggro it seems like the animation delay allows the adds to fly off toward a healer or dps for a bit before it goes to the Paladin.

 

And perhaps one-shotting them.

 

I think it's Provoke, Lob, FoF Halone? Stupid Ghosts attacking healers.

 

 

Or SMN running out of mana well and good at around 6 min (which is not good in hings like FCOB so I've heard)

In 2.45 we will also be introducing a system where players can help people with the final coil of bahamut after they’ve been locked out. For people who don’t want a second chance at loot but rather want to help their FC mates and friends clear.

 

I can just SEE the broadcasts for people selling Final Coil runs now...

Charged Savage Blade works better for snap. Nearly-instant, then it can be followed up with Halone. That's what I always used for Gaolers in Titan EX.

This.

 

Also, if you know adds are about to pop soon, you can hold onto Spirits Within and Circle of Scorn and use those to help with snap aggro. A combo'd Savage Blade with Spirits Within on add #1 and combo'd Rage of Halone on add #2 has never given me problems.

Did you ever end up setting up that ls? It'll be quite useful the more people clear T9. No more need to stick with just your team every week.
