I have noticed people are pretty friendly so far, might start doing the journal thing to get to know they character more.

Ellmida is right it was not fair of them to do that and you should maybe RP your char moving out into the world getting to know more people and maybe expanding themselves

I'd keep going with your current character, in rps this has happened to me. There are different ways of dealing with this. IC they left to deal with something and for some reason you couldn't go. Ask for a IC explanation from them. Last is IC you don't know where they went. Throwing a character away isn't the best option as you can end up feeling like something you lost something and lost a lot of time.

Thanks, I was planning on having my miqo'te be from a nomadic clan that is pretty isolated to make up for the fact I don't know too much lore. I then needed a reason for her to go to cities. I did NOT want "my clan was wiped out" has been done to death. So i thought a priestess official or other wise traveling would be a good reason. Being keepee of the moon and wanting my character to be a bit lay back that goddess seemed a good choice.

curiously if there is any lore about what would be involved in being one, are there offical ones, unofficial ones? I did not find too much information other then the simple is there more some where or is it sort of one of those things that are not touched well in lore and left largely open to interpretation

I am normally someone who is willing to rp with everyone, granted I am still trying to figure my own char out. I might write something up later and drop it some where so that maybe I can get help filling in the gaps

I will think about it, I don't know where my char is going yet so she is a bit of a blank slate IC which can be fun letting rp just take you places.

--MMORPG background I played wow a short time but it never hooked me, story seemed meh. Star wars galaxy I rped on for a very long time and did most the things in it. FF11 I played and had fun, but parties were needed for everything so ended up quitting.played SWTOR tried rping there but wasn't an interesting community. I played a bunch of free MMOs , but nothing caught my interest I have not done many dungeon or raid sort of things in a MMO and am interested in that here as well as RP since the game interests me more then wow or FF11. --RP experience I have RPed in SWG, tried in FF11 ( not much community), RPed in a few text formats, have been playing pen and paper RPGs like DnD since 2002. --Character ideas/info I don't know too much yet, I don't know a ton about the FFXIV world so I am going to use that. The Character is a Miqo'te Keeper of the Moon and I am due to my lack of information about the world I am going to me making her from a family/clan that is rather isolated, they keep to themselves and try to be self sufficient. Plan on her being unsure of the world as she came to the city. I like my chars to sort of build themselves through interactions --How did you learn about the coalition? googling ffXIV roleplay --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? likely a mix between med and heavy, but i have no issue with some light rp ether --Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) I work in the education field in a high school setting with kids with moderate to severe mental disabilities. Learning to do some scripting on the side as a hobby, I tend to enjoy learning about new topics.
