Welcome to the community! I share your anxiety about appoaching people in RP. It get easier with time. My two cents on how to over it is to talk to people on here and set up some RP, don't worry about it much and just have fun at first.

Happy ending: Distant some how gets past her issues, let's go of her burning hatred of the Garleans, gets married, and goes back to her Ancestral Home in the Reach.

Distant would be straight up Red Lantern. So she'd get to fly around with Dex-starr the rage kitty.

I use a Model Magitek Bit that Distant stole and has been maintain with spare parts, as a drone named Lydia. It's always buzzing people and flashing at them because I has no lasers to shoot.

I didn't see mercanary, or hired gun. Didn't figure it fit under Adventurer or Bounty hunter really. So other I guess.

To an extent this is what has kept me from portraying parts of the personality of my character. I have no intersting in ERP, I have no issue with it but it isn't going to happen. I want to portray her as flirtatious because it get people to do what she wants in character. She's a manipulator, and knows sex appeal makes people do what she wants. So I only portray that trait with people i know, and have explained it to OOC to avoid the problems that arise from it.

I personally love any of the Garlean locations Distant: General Thanalan, except north Thanalan. Along with Dravania mountains, anything like her home.

The pvp gear Garo Shield is invisible I think. I maybe be crazy though.

As it says, I'm looking for anyone who makes or sells Magitek mostly weapins and small bits for maintaining devices for Distant. Also any Garlean Tech would be nice. Mostly looking for grey or black market goods, mail just people who don't mind selling to criminals. Beyond that some general connections would be nice, especially late night players.

If it's a lethal fight, start with a dirty trick like throwing sand in thier eyes if the other person is closer than she would like. Then end them with center of torso shots. Non-lethal, more trickery and disarm if she can. She will take out the legs otherwise. Preferably she'd get her target in an ambush though. Fighting fair is for chumps. She has a repurposed Garlean Magitec Thing-a-mabob for finding people. Some other Garlean whats-its for supressive fire and trickery.

I. Basic Info Characters: Distant Thunder, Female Hellsguard. Gunslinger with no scruples about most anything, except slavery. Slavers get put on the kill list. Mostly hired gun in terms of employment, and a petty thief. She's an ex-slave that got out of the Garlean Empire. Kind of an anarchist, total freedom is the only way to live. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium Views on RP combat and injuries: Pretty chill with what ever other people want to do for it. Prefer emotive combat with sensible actions. Getting hurt is fine, dying not so much. Views on IC romance: Meh, pretty much not going to happen unless it take a long time. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): If someone wants to be an uncle or something, I'm ok with that, no parents. Also wouldn't mind a Garlean to hate, seeing as she was a slave to the empire. A fellow ex slave to the Garleans that was with her when she was a slave would also be a nice touch. Views on lore: I try to stick to is a close as possible but what you do is your own thing. Though if you start talking about being a white mage god-king of a distant nation, then I'm just going to assume you're rping a crazy person. I'd be interested in rolling with you a sometime. I'm still leveling but Araatan is a wandering fighter/monster hunter Xaela that is always looking for someone to talk to and possibly hunt with.

I'm Araatan, been roleplaying for eight years in Dnd 3.5 edition, pathfinder and lately running a Shadowrun campaign. My character is Araatan Kha, Xaela wandering fighter, mostly just a guy looking for adventure and a solid fight. Personality is a work in progress as I don't know how good I want him to be.
