The following changes have been made to emotes: New emotes have been added. /visor - Open or close helm visors. [*]Certain emotes can now be used while sitting. [*]Certain emotes can now be used while riding a mount. That right there. That's awesome. Using emotes while sitting / mounted? Yes please.

Xillia was definitely a tad cliche at times, but I second that it was absolutely phenomenal. Probably my favorite game of the year so far.

I. Basic Info Characters:Shizu Ayana Primary character:Shizu Ayana Linkshells:The Hungry Wolf, Mysterium Primary RP linkshell:The Hungry Wolf II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy):I really, truly, prefer HEAVY RP. If I can stay in character all the time, I usually will. Even my OOC talk ends up sounding like my character. However, I also tend to adjust my RP level to whoever I'm with - i.e., If you RP lightly, I will as well, assuming that's what the majority of the group is doing. Views on RP combat and injuries:I'm pretty much open to anything, assuming it's fair, short of character death. That said, in-game combat is iffy because of connections, levels, builds and the like. I would much prefer rolls and the like, with rules and agreed terms before the fight. (I'm also pretty chill with any injuries, although again, not including death.) Views on IC romance:I would be happy to take part in an IC romance. They are usually lots of fun, as long as the players understand boundaries. It is the CHARACTERS in a relationship, not the players. That said, I'd also prefer for it to develop fairly naturally. As for more intimate matters in a relationship, I would prefer not to get too involved with bedroom scenes. They can become lengthy and time-consuming. However, before and after scenes are fine with me. Pillow-talk can be...entertaining to say the least. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc):Of course this is all fine with me! What kind of RPer doesn't want to make connections with others? You want to be my adopted brother? Long lost relative? Childhood friend? Mom's Dad's Uncle's Niece's Daughter? Sure, why not? And if you want to get involved with Shizu's backstory (Like her parents' death) I'm more than happy to get you involved! Please, just lemme know! Views on lore:I like the lore. Most of us probably like the lore. It's really our best guideline, and the one unifying body of all our characters. Now that said, slight deviations in a character's storyline or background is okay, as long as it makes sense, and is reasonable. Otherwise, with everyone ignoring the lore, RP just gets messy. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc):I tend to follow these general trends unless otherwise decided or noted. /say, /tell, /yell are all IC. /shout, or other general type chats (LFG, for example) are all OOC. /party is tough - it really depends on everyone in the party. LSs are also usually denoted as one way or another beforehand. If all else fails, follow the parenthesis! III. Other Info Country:US Timezone:Eastern Contact info:PM on the RPC works well - I'll get an email on my phone. The same goes for a PM on Enjin. I don't really use it, but I do have Skype, so if a chat needs to be brought there for ease of communication or privacy, I can give my info to you. All things considered, I'm on of the most relaxed people you'll ever meet (OOC). I practically never get angry or up in arms, so you can relax around me. And please, don't hesitate to PM me on here if you ever want to RP! I'm absolutely ALWAYS game for some RP.

Yup. I also love the ability to focus on getting artes as soon as possible. Also, in case you haven't seen it yet, once you "complete" an orb, a new one will show up and you start with a small one again. (You don't have to actually get all the nodes, just focus on expansion.)

I actually rather enjoy the levelling system. Allows for a bit more input on it. Of course, the addition of the auto-level is a good idea, since you can still play a classic game if you use it.

Her juggles are nuts once you get them down pat. I mean, it's a terrible waste of TP, but I'm pretty sure I can kill an enemy in a single aerial combo, assuming I have like...8 or 9 AC at the time.

Sounds about the same experience I had - I played the first 15 hours or so with a buddy of mine. Soon as we got Leia, I started using her (instead of Milla) for her heals, and it worked out wonderfully.

The only boss that's given me any trouble at all was that weird flying thing in the canyon. The Nameless something-or-other. Otherwise, it's been pretty easy, yeah. And I turned the difficulty up before I even began.

Oh, I know...There's apparently somewhere around 65 attachments. Best of luck trying to find them all. I know I'm having trouble doing so. :frustrated:

Just curious. How far have you guys gotten in the game at this point? (I suppose warn for spoilers?)

Ha. So, now that the game's out, what do you think? I really enjoy Xillia's characters and story so far, much more so than Graces f at a similarly early part of the game. I think I prefer the overall flow of the latter's combat, though. As I am now 20 hours in (I just can't stop.... ><) I can confidently say I like Xillia wholly better than Graces f. Even the battle system. I've played all the other Tales games (including the ones not released here) so Graces combat just didn't feel right to me. Of course, that's a personal opinion, although I did really enjoy its combat. Xillia feels more in line with what I've come to expect from Tales, so I'm really happy. And this storyline is blowing me away. It's so much darker than the other Tales games.

Hey there! More than one fresh face to RP today it seems. Awesome. I'm Shizu, nice to meet you. And I'm in the same boat as you (Male playing a female); it's not frowned upon. Just a little awkward sometimes when people aren't aware of it. That said, welcome to FFXIV! Since you're new to RP, there's a mentor system in place on this site, go ahead and check it out if you're looking for some training / direction. A Free Company or Linkshell is another place to check out.

I've done the same. As well as watch arte exhibitions and the like...I don't know why I torture myself like this...

I know for sure you can have multiple linkshells, however I believe you can only join one Free Company.

I think this is the first mention of Xillia in this thread. I can't wait for that game, despite it being tomorrow. I hope that'll carry me to open beta of ARR, at least.
