  1. Necro'd! I've been playing a lot of Pokemon X recently, especially since the bank was released. Mah friend code: 2723-8585-5474 (Aurora) I added all the peeps at the beginning of this thread. MOAR SAFARIS. Mine is Poison, and I have Kakuna (yay) Venomoth (whatever) and Drapions. (Better!) Maybe someone can help me? I've been playing through my older DS Pokemon that I never fully finished now that the bank is out, gathering up all the legendary pokes I never got. Right now I'm playing SoulSilver, and almost have everyone rounded up. However - it has come to my attention that I need both a Kyogre and a Groudon to get Rayquaza, but all I have is SoulSilver so only Groudon is available. I can't request a trade for it on the GTS because I haven't SEEN a Kyogre, obviously. (So glad they fixed that in X/Y.) Does anyone have a Kyogre on Pearl/Diamond or SoulSilver/HeartGold/Platinum that I could have/borrow just long enough to get Rayquaza? I'd be ur friend forever. ~Eris
  2. That's right, peons! Rejoice in the amazing artwork that I have had the pleasure of viewing since the FFXI days! I will extol your praises until the end of creation, Tiergan. This newest one is sooooo awesomeeee. Ruff roo! ~The Elezen formerly known as Aiora
  3. Yes! Shirtless sandwiches for all! ...livin the dream.
  4. As a resident of the Seattle area, I will be attending (most of) PAX this year. I saw only one other mention on another thread, so I'm putting this one our specifically for PAX prime. How many going? Any interest in a get together?
  5. Sign me up for the next sandwich! None of that "furry" bread, though. Need some shirtless elezen pirate bread. It's awesome to watch your techniques and your swiftness improve over all of these livestreams, Abai. I just hope you're enjoying making these great pieces as much as we enjoy watching them come to life!
  6. Sorry for the delay, and welcome to the house!
  7. Huzzah! Fresh meat! I've only been really active in this community for a couple of months now. I don't think I've ever known a funner bunch of people or felt more welcome in such a short period of time. My personal favorite interactions are in the Skype chat room. We kibbitz about anything and everything, especially the game! We share links to information (and other internet nonsense) in real time, plus when people start to do livestreams of their art they'll give us links so we can watch! I'm "SereneAurora" on Skype if you want to hit me up for an invite. If nothing else, enjoy your time here on the forums and wiki! The strength of this community gets me excited in ways I never have been before.
  8. I especially like the monocle and top hat on the chocobo. So proper! We should call him Mr. Warkington.
  9. ...I'd do him. That aside, thanks for posting all your great work. I enjoy watching your livestreams, hopefully will sneak myself on your list soonish.
  10. Thank you for posting your stuff, Addy came out great! Really enjoy watching your livestreams, looking forward to the next!
  11. Looks pretty good to me! I'm in the same boat with you - I'm fledgling and trying to get better. Keep at it, this community has been my own inspiration recently. Watching other people live stream has been amazing, and we'd all love to see more of your stuff!
  12. Eeeee you're amazing. I'll send you a link soonish with some of the stuff I've been (very slowly) working on. YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION.
  13. Erisande Marchand, sister to Adriel Marchand and Aulairet Marchand:
  14. Name: Erisande Marchand Race/Clan: Elezen, wildwood Class: White Mage Hair: Golden brown shot through with golden blonde strands. Eyes: Ice blue Height: Extremely short for elezen Figure: Short legs, longer torso, slightly curved hips, a little busty. Clothing: Gowns/tunics/skirts. Would not be caught dead in pants right now. Simple or elaborate fabrics. General personality: Doesn't have a lot of fun unless she's forced into it, focused on her duties to her house and family. Well bred, impeccable manners and politeness most of the time. Has a temper that erupts when she's pushed too far - usually by her sister. Loves her family dearly and wants to take care of them, even at the expense of her own happiness. Tries to stay away from men, she's overly susceptible to their charms. Possible Expressions/Activities: Enjoying the woods of Gridania Deep blush and/or avoiding men Irritated beyond belief at her sister (but she still loves her!) Intent concentration on a craft (any!) or ledger Fledgling healing spell Healing a small animal Note: Although the eyes in the avatar might seem a little "harsh" I think of her as being a little softer, more empathetic. The other faces made her look too young than her 28 years, I thought.
  15. At laaaaast! I know (sort of!) what I'm going to look like! Can't wait for the next livestream, Abai! P.S. Draw moar elezen boys!
  16. Just gotta say - thank you so much for letting us watch. I appreciate you answering all of my questions. Even more, thank you for inspiring me to really give this all a try for myself. Just watching you work in Photoshop gave me a lot of insight on how to make it do what -I- want it to do. My first piece ended up looking like a super simple version of some of your own work (sorry!) but as I learn I know I'll develop my own style. Can't wait for the next one!
  17. Nope! The steward probably would not have the Marchand name, and of course can potentially be any race. We're looking forward to hearing from you with your ideas!
  18. Our concept doesn't really rely on a feudal system being in place. We do not consider ourselves nobility of any kind. First and foremost, we're a business. We became semi-wealthy through the success of that business, and so have crafting halls available for people to study at and use. We have employees that create goods for us. We opened the doors of our large house to refugees when the Calamity hit, so now we have more people living with us than just our own family. I hope this helps. If you have more questions, please let us know.
  19. Every slot on this tree without (PC) next to it is an open role for anyone to step into! (And of COURSE you can change the name.) Plenty of room for creative folks to come in and have a home with us! And even if you don't like THESE slots, pick a new one! The tree can be forever changing. Come over and say hello at http://housemarchand.shivtr.com!
  20. Greetings, The creators of House Marchand have decided that it will be in our best interests to move the linkshell to Balmung. The initial excitement for the idea was all on Gilgamesh, but as time goes on and we begin networking, we are discovering that there is far more interest on Balmung and so have decided to make the change. I wish to offer my deepest apologies to those of you who already decided to join us with the knowledge that we would be on Gilgamesh. It was unfair of us to make such a decision and then backtrack it this way, and I apologize. However, if any of you plan to spend time on Balmung then we would love to have you there, as well. We have no desire to start a server war here, and would appreciate no posts of this nature. We look forward to seeing everyone in game! ~Player of Erisande
  21. Love the concept, and look forward to RPing with you guys on Gilgamesh. It's great groups like this that will make it fun an interesting. I may hit you up to discuss a potential association with House Marchand at some point. I have ideas...
  22. Another elezen woman was in the market today, having risen with the sun. Her own hair was hidden by the thick cloak she wore, a little sensitive to the chill that still hung in the air after so much rain. At the crook of her arm she carried a large basket, already half full of fine fabric, threads, and jars of herbs. She moved far more slowly from stall to stall, appraising each of the wares with a discerning eye. Occasionally she would pause to haggle a price and added something to her basket. Other times a heated discussion ended with a simple "No thank you" before she walked off. As she made her way through the market, she came upon Vash and noticed his intense gaze off in one direction. Following his gaze, she saw the elezen woman and the miqo'te, a little smile touching her lips. "I do not think you're her type, sir."
  23. After some thought and chatting with interested persons, I've decided to go ahead and go for this and just see what happens! House Marchand now has a posting over on the linkshell boards, as well as a starter website at http://housemarchand.shivtr.com. We've got some posts there about some family members we'd like to hopefully find, but ultimately we are very open to your own character concepts. Again, you need not be a "family member" to join! We'd love to hear from anyone interested in building a shared narrative as we get started on Gilgamesh. Thanks for all of your feedback on this thread! ~Erisande Marchand
  24. Thanks for asking - forgot to slip that in. I edited the original post. Linkshell only right now, but a Free Company would be considered if we garner enough interest. ~Erisande
