I've had no problem with grinding as a conjurer.

There needs to be a significant advantage to grouping, but I don't think you should have to group to do anything. For me, that was the worst thing about FFXI. Sometimes I don't have four hours to dedicate to a group. The death penalty was also too extreme in FFXI. It kept people from trying new things and experimenting. That is bad in a game. You want people trying new things. If you are going to lose 3 hours of work for trying something different, even if it turns out that it would have been more effective, no one will do it.

The reason I support Jecht is because it is easy. We are on the server, so we all know where to go. I also think we will be less likely to get the, to use the technical term, asshats that servers like Sephiroth or Kefka will get. Who cares how cool the boss it was named after is. It's a server, not part of the game lore.

I spent about half an hour last night figuring out the order for the tab targeting. As soon as I invert my camera controls it'll work fine. I'm getting used to it, and I stopped using the mouse. As a caster I like the current battle speed.

Tab targeting works differently in this game than any I've seen. It selects from the point of view of the camera. The first time you hit tab it targets you. The second time it targets the character the closest pixel distance to the right from the center of your screen. The tabbing has nothing to do with your character or the ingame world. It's all about pixel distance from the center of the screen...which is stupid.

If server names stay the same I say we stay with Jecht. If they don't, but our names automatically transfer to a specific server, I saw we go with that one. I think a 3 day vote is too long though, if it starts on launch day. I'm not waiting that long to play.

I've never played them, but I've always heard amazing things about them and intended to play them.

Sorry guys, between freelance work i'm slamming out right now and this effing food poisoning I'm struggling a bit. My stomach is in lots of pain and I'm not feeling terribly creative because of it.

He takes his feet off the bar and places his glass on the bar. Finally looking at Nedral, Tadir asks, "So is this going to be a story about you or the little one?" He runs his hand through his hair, wondering for a moment where his hat is.
