  1. Your system looks like it will do fine. You have the same video card my boyfriend has and he clocked a 3200 on the benchmark. The difference is his processor is a quadcore, your's is a dual core. BUT you have more GHz (His runs 2.4, your's is 2.8). So turning off shadows and other nonessentials (Even just shadows) should net you around the same benchmark score as him - a 3200. That is around 30 FPS outside of cities, and 15-30 FPS in cities. In high traffic areas you may experience some lag, but the game IS completely playable for you. Also, your AMD processor could be screwing up your score. Good processor's, just not for benchmarks
  2. Higher the better. In order to run the game you need at least a 1500. However, the benchmark runs all setting on high, including shadows. There's a good chance your slow down is due to that. IF you have an ATI you're score will be at least 500 points lower than it should, if you have dual video cards you're score will be almost halved. Taking shadows into account and the fact you can turn them off, I would say a 1500 score is really a 2000, which will have no problem with the game. The game says it's minimum requirements for video cards is the 9600GT (My current video card lol) which is about the Radeon HD 3870. A guy I know runs a 8800 GTS which is a lower model and didn't have problems, except for shadows and that is like the... Radeon HD 3850 X2. These are the cards most people have, if you want to run the game at awesome level, just assume you'll need to buy a new video card. My recommendation is the newest card coming out for NVidia- the GTX460, it's a high end video card in the less than 200$ range is and is made for people who want bang for their buck. It's also supposed to be smaller than the cards in it;s series(465, 470, and 480). http://www.techreport.com/articles.x/19242/1 Radeons I know f--- all about
  3. Loki raised an eyebrow at the conversation, looking at the talkative Elezen as he talked about people going after Myths, "Half the fun is not knowing if your coming back, I'm sure." She replied flatly.
  4. The benchmark runs all setting on high regardless on wither you put it on low or high. If you can run Aion, you can run FFXIV... you MAY haver to turn off shadows however.
  5. We are good with that image and the filter system is a good idea.
  6. This is a great way for me to find a last name for Langli, thanks!
  7. hmmm we have two but I don't think either are small enough Forum header: (By: Lloire) website header: (by: Tyme) Gonna have to come up with something smaller?
  8. I'm getting reports that it's the Radeon ATI 5770 and the rest of the series is running really choppy. The 480's are running alright, but like you said the game isn't optimized for it yet. As I'm getting a 480, I hope they fix this soon
  9. Someone on a different forum is reporting that he's able to run it pretty smoothly on a Dual Core processor with 4 gigs of RAM and an 8800GT video card. He just turned off Shadows. Seems like the game isn't going to be quite as extensive as we thought
  10. She took a long pause before answering, looking around first, then looked to the Elezen, "Loki." She said swiftly.
  11. She says nothing, just raises an eyebrow and walks over, plopping down on the chair.
  12. "Must have been over something idiotic," Loki remarked, "As only idiots starts fights like these in well populated bars." She looked at her fingers, then moved to a drier area, leaning against the wall while the chaos cleared.
  13. Loki overheard his question and without looking at him responded, "Everything is fine as long as they didn't set fire to the alcohol."
  14. She got splashed with the water, looked over, wiped her face, then went back to waiting for the carnage to clear out.
  15. ^ YEEESSSSSS. *Dies Happy*
  16. okay there was once this really finny FFXI that was done all in flash (Before the days of Youtube...) about this elf and this Galka and they're wacky adventures (One they were going to king soopers, another they were baking cookies) does anyone remember this and know where I can find it? It was hilarious. You know what you use to bake? Lightening Crystals! No... an oven... .... Fire Crystals!
  17. Crimson Blades is indeed recruiting him, he is also a pretty avid roleplayer
  18. Yeah I actually prefer the servers being international, that way there's usually always a peak time and I don't have to worry about being on at a certain time to get anything done.
  19. Well, she walked in at the wrong time. The woman laughed to herself and sat down in a far corner of the room. She watched and waited, really wanting a beer.
  20. Excim is actually in the Noizy Tribe guild you were in Siben, before you quit FFXI. That song was done by an old guild mate in NT making fun of him. Excim is also coming to XIV ;o He's a cool guy, been friends for years.
  21. yup, on Alpha I got to level 4 or 5 (I only got to play twice) as a lancer, then changed over. It was a lot like the class changing system in XI, just no need for a moogle. Beta starts tomorrow, you'll be seeing much info from many sources then
  22. I put it in a complaint to both paypal and Skype. I kinda would like my 60 bucks back
  23. Yeah it was like 4 different 15 dollar transations.... for some European money. I have no idea what happened. I didn't give them any info towards payment.
