  1. Hi everyone! I stumbled across this website and remembered I have an account from forever ago. Apparently I even posted art back in '13? Decided to give this another shot. So, hey! I'm Sue. You can normally find me around the internet world as SueDraws, though an older alias was Lady Kaguya. I enjoy drawing, music, and staying a bit too busy with my irl jobs and responsibilities. Such is life. You can find my artwork via http://suedraws.com or my carrd website which compiles most everything I was around pre-ARR and since then have been a bit off and on. I absolutely love the game and I've been a fan of Final Fantasy since about...2005 I guess? I guess it does reflect poorly that I'm one of those folks that will play for a few months, disappear for a few months...rinse, repeat. I'd honestly would like to have more stability. I think a good place to start would be to find a good group, whether that's a linkshelll, discord, or FC. I'm currently residing in Goblin, but I'm thinking about moving or putting some alts somewhere else. But I guess with the Crystal data center, that won't be as vital? I'll be honest, my main game is normally Guild Wars 2. It's a comfort zone of mine, likely because I'm long time established and doesn't require a sub. I don't really like to compare the two tho, both are amazing games and I've met great people! But it would be nice if I played other games too. XD So yeah, I'd love to make connections. Maybe find some people to mentor me a bit. I suppose my biggest downfall is I love having alts, and it's frustrating (for me personally) that XIV isn't as friendly toward that play-style. )': Because of that, I'm a bit of a slow player--my goals are mostly to have fun, RP, and related---not necessarily jump to end game. Anyhow, sorry for the long message--I can be a bit of a rambler, heh. But yeah! Thanks for hearing me out! Hope to hear from people! Cheers!

    Lady K's Art

Thank you so much everyone, it's very kind of you all! I wasn't expecting so many posts...nor did I think my scenery would be that popular. Maybe because it isn't much of a norm among some artists? *shrug* I actually wish I could do them more, but I'm usually such a perfectionist with them. Don't be afraid to give suggestions, ideas, critique...whatever. But anyone simply stopping by, i appreciate it so much!

    Lady K's Art

    So, I don't have a lot of FFXIV art yet, but maybe I will in the future! I have more art here: www.Ladykart.tumblr.com www.flickr.com/photos/ladykaguya www.Lady-Kaguya.deviantart.com XIV: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8528/8559395923_8cb34d0867_q.jpg[/img] http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8508/8560508116_444a7a22c8_q.jpg[/img] SCENERY: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7276/6879532770_ed9c199dd9_b.jpg[/img] http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6220/6879533852_a58b0a7c95_b.jpg[/img] http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7237/7025631019_7ccb43eb65_b.jpg[/img] http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8005/6987293836_7af09c52cf_b.jpg[/img] http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8027/7638047390_8de7a84923_b.jpg[/img] OTHER: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7181/6879537874_02d52ffbdd_b.jpg[/img]http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7220/6879544254_45594ae03a_b.jpg[/img]http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7258/6885036004_61c4e518ec_b.jpg[/img]http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6112/6879535240_9db1bb00f8_b.jpg[/img]http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7275/7022492737_1a4dfd5139_q.jpg[/img]http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8103/8493117712_627867e820_q.jpg[/img] http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8090/8559398297_74ae349a21_q.jpg[/img] http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8230/8560509296_53f4936eef_q.jpg[/img]
  4. Thus far I am the only female Lalafell (Dunesfolk). It'll be fun to see the results after a week or so.
  5. Thank you so much for compiling this, you have no idea how much it's appreciated! While I've role-played for awhile I always love gaining new insight and advice, and the links you posted on lore/etc. is fantastic, it's really helping me fully grasp XIV.
  6. Oooh! I love your style; it has such a confident feel in the lines. Scribbly and relaxed, but they all go together so well for beautiful anatomy and details. The latest one is really adorable as well! <3 I'll be lurking around here, but just wanted to say lovely work. :>
  7. Hmm, got a standard scoring for my medium-low setup. I need a new computer. :
  8. Can I just express how much I love when people do traditional art? I mean, I hate doing comparisons on digital and traditional, but something about paints/markers can be so lovely, and you are clearly very masterful at it. I envy your skills, you have a lot handle of it seems, and a lot of people underestimate the practice it takes to get the hang of the pencil. I love the unique cartoonish/anime style; colours have a softness, and posing is excellent--as well as the great skills in anatomy too. You really do well bringing each character out and expressing their character and race. dont mind me, ill just quietly stalk this lovely art topic with awe and love c:
  9. Hello, just wanted to pop in and say I love your works! Your characters have a wonderful vibrance to them. how you draw them really brings out their personality and uniqueness everyone has worked so hard to breathe life into them. I adore your style--it's a since of confident realism, with your own tweaks to give it a simplistic technique that's easy on the eyes yet still conveys a lot. Also, I love how you draw noses! I also love how strong the colouring can be, it really stands out. I definitely see why you draw to colour--you definitely have such a great skill in it. I think it's wonderful that you're drawing characters for people, it's a lot of work sometimes but it can be a great way to broaden your knowledge and improve.

    Hullo one and all,

Thank you very much! So far I'm hanging in there, but if I ever do get curious I will be sure to! Thank you! And high fives to a fellow Louisianian. I used to live around CENLA; besides the hot weather (I am a much more cool climate gal), I miss the food and culture terribly! FFX and FFXII will always have a special place in my heart. It's probably because they were the first two of the series that I played. X is just...goodness the characters and story. And XII with it's beautiful art direction blows my mind. Hoping to get that same feeling of awe with XIV! Oh goodness, that's what I'm afraid of! It will be very hard to. I grew up with Guild Wars...granted, I also did with Final Fantasy. We'll see what happens. o: Hey, Memphis isn't so bad! Thankfully you have nothing to fear with me, I'm living outside of good old Nashville. <3 Yes, I fear how my GW2 activity will be when XIV comes. I am indeed from Tarnished Coast! Oh goodness, I'm much to shy/slow for a art trade, but you never know. I'll keep the offer in mind! Hello there! Yes, I'm not as active externally as I used to be in the community, but I dabbled in some such here and there. its still great all the same. Thank you for the welcome!
  11. Dot, we shall stalk and lurk together and be ever so fabulous

    Lady Kaguya

    I. Basic Info Characters:Lady Kaguya, Primary character:Lady Kaguya Linkshells:N/A Primary RP linkshell:N/A II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Light--I have a limited amoutn of time to play, and often I am a solo kind of person. Though things may change depending on how much I like the game. [*] Views on RP combat and injuries: Simply put, both good and bad. Depends on the people involved, the OOC communication, and so forth. I'm usually open to it. Trying to kill my character without permission is a no-no. I'm honestly less picky about injuries, as I'm one of those RPers that loves to torture their characters. Just well, remember, OOC communication is key for me with this stuff. [*] Views on IC romance: Romance can be great usually; it brings out character development, extra motive to stay active/RP, can give things more depth and meaning; it usually depends on my own time and character. I prefer to have romance only with close friends or people whom I trust, and understand the very firm (if not impassive) wall I keep between IC and OOC. I've had bad experiences with Romance RP, so I can be a bit picky. [*] Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I usually enjoy family/etc related RP than romance, actually. I always get excited when a friend or so plans to have our characters be related, mentorships, etc. It just makes it much more fun and gets me more involved. Once again though, I prefer to do it with people I trust with OOC communication so there are no misunderstandings. [*] Views on lore: Lore is key for me. I can be somewhat of a Lore whore and usually eat up any bit of information I can, whether it is vital or not. Why be in said world, when you're just going to break it? Granted there are situations where it can be bent or changed depending on the RP you're involved with. Either sides of the extreme can be a bit silly, so I say we should just have fun. [*] Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Um...not very picky I guess? I usually do /say or /party while abusing emotes, but I can be flexible concerning who I'm playing with. Never have understood Linkshells yet, so we shall see. III. 13. good day (: --MMORPG background Honestly, I'm a bit new to MMORPGs in a way. I've probably hung about then since young, but I stuck with Guild Wars 1 (which technically isn't a MMO, but still) for a good solid five years or so until Guild Wars 2 came out, which I still actively play. I've also dabbled in others, such as Aion, LotRO, STO, and SWTOR, but due to my lack of time, I have to be very picky what I play--loved the above mentioned, but if I'm going to spend time on a game, it has to be -really- good. --RP experience About five+ years experience in forum/chat. MMO wise, only about a year, but I love it regardless! --Character ideas/info 'Lady Kaguya' has always been my internet/RP/OC alias. If you see someone in a game or online with that name, chances it's me. Kaguya always has reincarnations in video games I play. As of now, I'm learning toward her being a Miqo'te/Keeper of the Moon. I also have other alts in mind, I'd love to have one of each race. --How did you learn about the coalition? I've been keeping an eye on this website since last year I think--when they mentioned a 2.0 of XIV, I googled 'FFXIV Roleplay'...and here I am. My friend Dotoro Ranitoro also prompted me to pay more attention to the going ons for the game. --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? Usually I'm a medium RPer, but since Guild Wars 2 is still my 'main' MMO, and lack of time, I am hoping XIV will be a good secondary game for burn outs and branching out. --Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) I'm not a very exciting person! I am a 20 year-old native Louisiana/Tennessee (United States) southern belle who is currently living in the latter state. I love music, nature, writing, reading, video games, my cat, and good food. I am shy, nerdy, and clumsy. I have always adored Final Fantasy; I remember not owning any of the systems the games were on yet still fervently following it...thankful a old neighbor when I was young gave me their old playstation 2, which I happily played X and XII to death! I'm currently working as a nanny and been out of college--Health complications is the main factor holding me back, but I dream of becoming an illustrator/concept artist for the entertainment/gaming industry. You can see my art at these locations: www.ladykart.tumblr.com / www.lady-kaguya.deviantart.com (I am very rusty and trying to retrain myself, so most art I worked 'hard' on is old and ugly, while the newer stuff is simply messy doodles!) I'm mostly going to be a lurker, but you never know what may happen!
