I just finished Brave 10. Wished there was a Season 2. Oh man, this is why I hate watching anime. Those happy endings and those feelz. They hurt my chest. :frustrated:

There is so much win going on right here. -
Xydane listened as Kiht explained, occasionally giving small, barely noticeable nods. He glanced up when she pointed to the sky. Things would indeed become troublesome if the tracks washed away. Xydane knew they had to leave but when he turned his attention to Clover and Andre, things became complicated. He was unsure if the other two were ready to continue. The danger would only worsen and Xydane did not want to place Clover in danger, nor did he think Andre should be chasing down any enemy; not with those wounds. But leaving the two of them here arose problems of its own. If the two of them stayed behind, there was still the possibility of Ixal in the area. He was about to suggest bringing them along to ensure their safety but he stopped himself. Xydane always felt the need to protect others. He trusted himself to get the job done. If left in the hands of others, there was no guarantee everybody would be okay. It was selfishness on his part but he wanted to be the one to protect the weak. But when he looked at Clover and Andre, he sighed. They were not weak. One of them was wounded, yes, but he recognized their strength. They could take care of themselves. Still, he mentioned the possible danger as he unsheathed his sword and handed it to Andre. “In case something happens…,” Xydane says to wounded Hyur and his eyes turn to Clover’s for a moment before continuing, “…while Kiht and I are away. Take care of her.” He wanted to continue, to tell Andre to do everything to protect Clover, but there was no time for it. Lowering his hood, Xydane out of habit placed a hand on the empty sheathe by his side while the other hand gripped the handle of the huge axe resting on his shoulders. He turns to Kiht, his eyes nearly covered but his face noticeable solemn as he says, “Let’s go hunting.”

The thought of the little Lalafell going as far as to the point of breaking impressed Xydane. He was all too familiar with the desperation of going beyond one’s boundaries. He knew the sacrifice; to do anything for the cause, even if it meant putting your life on the line, even if it meant dying in the process. There was a hint of admiration in his eyes as he watched the pack leave with the Hellsgaurd. Xydane turned towards Gregson as his gesture took Xydane’s attention away from the others. “Right,” he nodded, “Lead the way.” Extending his arms to allow Gregson to walk first, Xydane noticed the small hints of burn marks on his own forearm. His cloak had been left behind in the castle after it caught heat and flame – it was most likely burnt along with the rest of the building. The wind slowly began to pick up again and Xydane’s hair blew along with it. He sighed, placing a hand on the sword’s hilt as he followed the other man. “There’s a lot more to her than I thought,” Xydane said with an impressed tone. “When she wakes up, tell her I said thanks for saving my arse.” Xydane did not want to go too close to the campfire. He just escaped a burning building, after all. He was not in any hurry to catch fire once more, he humored himself. Xydane watched the Flames pack as Gregson spoke. "I'm not surprised,” Xydane responded, still watching the Flames, “We didn't find him in there and one of the Elezen confirmed it before he died.” Finally Xydane turns to face Gregson, putting a comforting arm on his shoulder and said, “One thing is for certain: He escaped.”

There was no exchange of words between the two as they continued walking. It was not completely silent as sounds still stirred in the air. Normal sounds from the light winds to occasional the pitter patter of water against armor. Xydane briefly glanced above to the sky and wondered to himself how long before the rain would come and wash all the red away. The sudden movement before them halted Xydane and he took his stance. Weapon in one hand, Clover’s hand in the other, Xydane was ready to strike down whatever foe was approaching but then Clover’s hand left his and he watched as she ran over to the wounded Hyur. A sudden emptiness was left on his hand but he could not understand why. All he knew was the warmth was gone and despite the glove that wrapped his hand, he was suddenly cold. But he shook the strange thought and sheathed his sword. Xydane walked over to the others and raised his eyebrows, brushing his hair back as he spoke in a sore tone. “Well, isn’t it Kiht Jakkya? Why am I not surprised?” They were in the Black Shroud. If anything, the woods were the domain of Miqo’te hunters and trackers so stumbling upon people like Kiht and Rinette Molkoh wouldn’t be unpredictable. Xydane looked from Jakkya to Andre, noticing Andre's wounds and their tire. He placed a hand on Andre’s shoulder and frowned. “Well Andre, you sure got yourself jacked up this time,” he said in a light hearted jab. He turned back to the Miqo’te as he continued to speak, “I know you’re not part of this bandwagon so I assume you’ve been tracking what the hell is going on?”

Oh gawds, Naruto. All my friends back home watch it but me... I-I can't. Too many episodes, seasons, and movies. I can't do it.

WHAT?! WHAT IS THIS MADNESS! NO, NO, NO, NO, NO! *Sobs* Well, I didn't know we had an anime thread so I'ma list the anime that I have watched including my top 3 favorite. Favorite Top 3: 1) Fullmetal Alchemist (Includes Original & Brotherhood). 2) .hack (Includes Sign & Roots) 3) Brave 10 Other anime I have watched: 1) Utawarerumono: The Beast Within 2) Dragon Ball Z (Includes all Seasons/Series) 3) Sword Art Online (Season 1) 4) Attack on Titan (Season 1) Speaking of Brave 10, I have just discovered this anime last night while randomly browsing on Google for gawds knows what. I FOUND XYDANE IN AN ANIME. WTFOMFG. Saizo totally looks like Noctis/Xydane and his personality matches Xy's perfectly. Haha, the coincidence is quite amusing.

Xydane stood triumphantly over his kill. His prey. No one else to claim but his and his right alone. In the world of predator and prey, he was the hunter. The feeling was glorious and the adrenaline pumping through his body felt like a drug - an addicting drug… and he wanted more. As the Ixali’s head severed from it’s neck and fell onto the forest floor, the sequence triggered flashbacks that left Xydane staring at the corpse with animosity. The vivid scenes that haunted his mind reminded him how he wasn’t strong enough to save Rose. He wasn’t strong enough to save anyone. But not anymore. Baptism through fury, revenge, and war was what granted him the power to fight. Clover was in trouble and Xydane knew that he’d rather send himself to the seven hells than let a second chance be killed by something as foolish and weak as one Ixali. "Xydane..." Xydane blinked, returning to reality after Clover’s voice brought him back from his own blood-driven logic. He slowly turned to face her, meeting her eyes and returning the gaze. He felt the momentary silence between them was not at all awkward. Rather, it was fleeting serenity amongst the deafening chaos of the world. But as the tone of her voice shifted, Xydane listened and gave a quick sigh of relief, thankful that she escaped from harm’s way. But now they had to return there, back into danger, and he was anxious for it, but not with a sense of worry. No, he was eager. Eager to kill the enemies, to see their blood spilled. He felt his arm aching to swing his blade down, the need to see red consuming him and he allowed it to. But as she had done before, and he was sure it was unbeknownst to her that she has this power over him, one look at Clover and the blood lust disappears. He knew better than to waste time and yet he still extended his arm towards her, lightly grabbing her and pulling her in for a tight embraced. It was quick and he said nothing throughout it, but he hoped the feeling of thankfulness translated through because without her, he would have been so different. He pulled back from the embrace and took her hand, leading them towards the direction she ventured from.

Seeing the opportunity Kokojo had given him, Xydane rushed towards the burning Elezen and slew them one by one, the swift sound of steel through flesh halted the noise of their screams, leaving only the thuds of their bodies falling to the ground. As their charred corpses added to the smoke that was already building inside the room, Xydane tore off his robe and ran towards his unconscious ally, lifting her from the ground and carrying the Lalafell over of his shoulder. Though the air caused him dry and irritating coughs, the knight continued to desperately search for a way outside the burning building. Fire rose higher as more debris began to fall with each waking second. Eyes teary and his body drenched in sweat, Xydane continued to cough as ash and smoke slowly filled his lungs. Breathing was becoming difficult and the smoke created extreme irritation upon the eyes. Moreover, the surrounding did not spare his ears. Echoing through the building was the dying screams of other Elezen who where unfortunate to be caught in the building's collapse. He ignored their cries as he continued searching for an escape. Xydane's vision began to drastically blur and each step felt heavier and heavier. The heat was intensifying while every hallway and room led only to a dead end. Before hope could finally dim, a small hint of light shined weakly past the wall of ash and debris. It was in that moment that the knight could wait no longer. Charging towards the light, Xydane shouldered himself through the fiery debris that stood in his way and crashed into the window, falling outside into a heap of snow. As they fell, the knight twisted in the air, using his own body to shield the Flame Corporal against the landing. ________________________________________________________________ An hour later... While hiding in the city's shadows, Xydane watched as Ishgardian knights rushed to investigate the building burning in the distance. Once they passed, Xydane brushed his hair back and exhaled with relief. He scanned the area to confirm a clear getaway. With the unconscious Kokojo safely inside his traveling pack, Xydane donned the bundle and continued their escape. After an hour of sneaking his way outside the city, carefully avoiding stationed guards and suspicion, he finally reached the outskirts of The Gates of Judgment. Xydane began to run towards the other Immortal Flames camped nearby. "Hey! I need help!"

His shock broke the moment she placed her hands on his shoulders, the touch bringing him back to reality. Her warning prompted Xydane to alertness and sure enough, the Ixal scout appeared. He looked at her with sincere eyes for a moment before turning to face the beast, no trace of sincerity lingering in Xydane’s eyes. Now, they were full of blood-lusted determination. "....." Placing himself between the girl and the Ixali, Xydane unsheathed his sword and slowly began walking towards the beast. Without turning his head back, the Hyur spoke in whispered words. "Hide." His fingers twitched as they gripped tightly onto the hilt of the sword, the blade extended fully as Xydane charged. Sprinting as fast as he could, Xydane brought his sword high and swung it down at the Ixali with his entire might. The beast roared, rearing it's ugly head back as it parried this new enemy's attack. The Ixali's grip on the blade shook - the Hyur's strike was strong indeed. The Ixali roared, attempting to intimidate the Hyur as he swung his jagged sword at the Hyur's head. Xydane ducked, parrying the blow with his own sword before bringing his free hand towards the beastman's neck. For a moment, the Ixali merely blinked before realizing what has happened. The Hyur's hidden blade had stabbed him clean in the throat. Spitting out foul blood, the Ixali hissed at the unknown Hyur as it stomped and cried in pain, dropping it's weapon to hold it's own throat. Within a matter of seconds, Xydane had swung his sword at the creature's neck and watched as it's corpse fell onto the ground before him. Xydane's expression was one of abhorrence. 'I will not lose her again.'

The two Elezen charged, swords held high as they rushed to kill the Hyur trespasser. The first one swung down and Xydane parried with his sword, bringing his hidden blade to slash the Elezen's neck as he ran past by. The second swung high in an attempt to remove the Hyur's head from his spine. That too was an ill fated move. What the Elezen failed to realize was that Xydane didn't wear plate steel. His choice of leather provided him the opportunity to move and strike fast and indeed, Xydane was too fast. Ducking the failed decapitation, Xydane brought both body, sword, and blade into the Elezen's gut as he lunged on top of him. Leaving the Coporal to her work, Xydane ran into the hallway and made for the left. The building held numerous rooms, twisting halls, and if navigating through it to look for one Hyur prisoner wasn't enough, the smoke and fire from the explosion only added to the confusion and chaos. Here and there, an Elezen guard would show only to be quickly struck down by the hooded man that used the smoke to his favor. As he desperately looked to each room, Xydane roared to Kokojo whom he assumed was further down the halls, probably putting in quick work to more of the guards. Kicking the debris that blockaded the last room in the hallway, Xydane found himself in the presence of a single male Elezen who's chest was impaled by falling wood and splinter. The Elezen coughed, blood dripping from his mouth as the smoke and injury slowly killed him. Walking towards the Elezen and bringing the sword against his throat, Xydane frowned in disgust as he spoke. "I can end your pain quickly if you choose to answer me. Where is Erik Mynhier?!" Spitting a mouthful of fresh blood onto the wood that pinned him down, the Elezen smirked. "T-the bastard.... escaped. You, however.... will not." Turning around, Xydane soon found himself in the company of four other Elezen, their weapons drawn as they closed in to kill the trespasser inside the room. "K-kill him! D-don't let him escape!" barked the Elezen before succumbing to his wounds. With their backs turned from the halls, Xydane hoped that Kokojo would use their complacency to her advantage.

This thread is so awesome! As a big weapons guy IC and IRL, I must say "Thanks!" for taking the time to rock out such a thread. It provides a lot of good information. -
As the clouds began to fade, the sky above slowly darkened and Xydane’s mood followed suit. The walk was well away from the city and all he had to keep him company was the occasional chirping of a bird or two. The leaves on the branches started to sway back and forth, signaling the wind’s speed growing stronger. The breeze brushed sharply against the expose skin beneath his hood but aside from noting that it was getting colder, he pays it no further mind and continues walking. After a while, Xydane halted and stared into the sky that had become a darker color than it was not too long ago. The birds were gone and their calls were replaced with the silence of the cold. The Hyur narrowed his eyes, bringing his head back down as he lowered his hood even further. ‘Something seems… off.’ Before he could even continue, a breaking in the silence tipped him off. Xydane quickly turned toward the source of what sounded like the rushing of footsteps. In the distance, his eyes picked up the silhouette, feminine in shape and approaching with haste. The closer she came, the more she became clear and in a matter of moments Xydane’s eyes widened in astonishment once he realized who she was.
-
The little corporal was fast for her size and though she ran ahead, Xydane used little effort to catch up. Once he was narrowly behind her, he quickened his pace, passing the Lalafell in an all out sprint. Closer and closer, the smell of fire and ash began to fill his nostrils as he closed the distance between him and the nearing building. Embracing himself for the impact, Xydane heaved himself into the wooden door that made one of many ways inside the building. Wooden splinters flew and spun into the air as the door flew open, revealing the madness inside the room that stirred with chaos. An unwary Elezen realized too late that intruders had breached as the cold taste of steel met with his tongue in an unsavory taste of bitter blood. Half of his head began to peel back and the corpse dropped onto the ground. Xydane flicked his blade in a swift manner against the air, the blood of the fallen Elezen flying off his sword. As he stepped over the body, he turned his head and noticed three other Elezens making their way down the halls towards the room. They snarled and cursed as they realized more trouble had come. One of them took notice of the fallen body and froze. His face turned pale, filling with horror but as his shock quickly subsided into rage, he clenched the hilt of his sword and rushed towards Xydane, the other two following after. Sword in one hand and hidden blade in the other, Xydane prepared himself for the oncoming foes.

It's not nice to call Crofte a bench. FIGHTING WORDS -
Yes, I do include Xydane as part of the natural aging process. It's also the reason why I post any RP event/scene in a timeline chronological order so it's to see what he has been doing this year, that week, etc.

Xydane ceased in his steps as two Ishgardian knights approached with their spears pointed forward; their faces painted with disgust. Without turning his gaze away from the knights, Xydane whispered silently back to Kokojo. "Don't move until I say it's clear." "Halt! What business does a Hyur have at the Gates?! Speak quickly!" commanded one of the guards. There was a certain twitch in the guard’s eye from under his visor, as through he was waiting for any excuse to attack. Instead of cowering before the guard's intimidation, Xydane simply reached underneath his cloak and pulled out the missive. "Business of an Inquisitor, knight." "Inquisitor!? What is... let me see that!" Quickly grabbing the scroll from Xydane's hand, the knight began to read silently, his eyes moving back and fourth as he struggled to believe each word that inked itself onto the parchment. From time, he would exchange glances with the other guard, make a comment or two, before finally returning the scroll to Xydane with a rather annoyed "Hmph." "Very well, Hyur. Don't expect a welcoming presence especially with your filth sullying our holy city. Best make your business quick." Xydane shrugged, ignoring the Knight's racist comment and walked away, waving him off. Behind him, the head guard shouted to the other as they too, made their way back to their stations. "Open the gates!" ________________________________________________________________ There wasn't another moment to waste and Xydane lowered his hood as he remembered the details of Maulcrioux's brief. Passing through streets, alleyways, and crowds of citizens, Xydane began to move as fast as he could without the reason to create suspicion. After a long while of walking, Xydane and Kokojo had no need to look further, for the building that held Erik Mynheir revealed itself out of an unnatural explosion. Removing the pack from his back and opening it, Xydane began to unsheath his sword as he yelled to the Flame Corporal still inside his pack. "This is it! We must hurry!"
