Also trying out the new hairstyles. I wanted Xydane to grow out his hair due to all his traveling but... I still like the old hairstyle. What do you all think?

In WoW, we generally use the roll system and though I don't have a problem with it, TheWizard does make a good point. Do remember that "The Faces of Mercy" aren't just a rag tag group of thugs. We aren't walking away from this plot without any scratches. But hey, I'm down for whatever everyone wants to do.

Excellent read Xydane. Reading it made me think on which jobs or classes will be added when we see Ishgard's gates open, Faces of Mercy could be a title for an Assassin job (as seen in FFT) as Sultansworn is an associated title for Paladin. Your story makes me want to level a Faces of Mercy alt. Maybe that isn't a far off thing, with the 2.2 trailer showing Thancred duel wielding daggers. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I look forward to RPing with everyone in the plot as it's very exciting. Here's also hoping that the patch after 2.2 will involve Ishgard! :thumbsup:

Well, I decided to replace my character's theme. Side node, "Princess Mononoke" is such a wonderful film and I've always been a fan of Joe Hisaishi's music and Hayao Miyazaki films. [video=youtube] I felt that this theme has a stronger representation to the gallantry behind my character.

I'm going to keep my post rather simple. Just like IRL, Xydane and I don't tend to "act friendly" towards people touching us when we don't know them. In Xydane's case: A) You'd probably get punched in the face. B) You'd most likely get a weapon drawn to your face. C) Well... this:

I just let people know by /tell. Usually if I'm running and hopping around like a school girl... I'm OOC. I also tend to schedule my RP sessions as well.

Xydane was created to be your typical hero. I wanted to RP the "good guy" and as I learned more of the game's lore, it was then that I used it as a basic layout into creating his back story. There is a reason behind everything he says and why he acts the way he does. I wanted the average hero's story - one of lost, death, love, and hope. Though it took some time to plan and brainstorm, I eventually created what I wanted and from that point was I able to "add more" through via story writing and RPing. Though the magic about RP is creating any type of character you want, I personally am more comfortable with creating a character in the side of justice and righteousness. Just like in World of Warcraft, for example, I created an orc warrior who's sense of honor, wisdom, and many life lessons help forged the definition of hope when the world is covered in darkness.

Actually, when I was writing this thread I put down "expatriates and allies" with you specifically in mind. There may be others like you who have become sympathizers for Ishgardians and can be trusted to help. While I would like to the majority of the LS members to be Ishgardian, I have no problem with having a stray cat around or two. For the record, you're right. Thanks to the Hedge, the Black Shroud would be not happy to suffer an influx of refugees. Although, it's difficult to compare the trickle if Ishgardian refugees to the flood of Ala Mhigan ones, especially when Ala Mhigo had been trying to invade the Twelveswood ever since the First Battle of Tinolqa during the Autumn War. I'll be contacting all of you in-game as soon as I can manage. This sounds really awesome. You know, OOC-wise, I've always had an interest in the Ishgardian lore and IC-wise, this can help Xydane increase his good relations with the Ishgardian knights. I would really appreciate it if you can contact me as well.
