Might just be me but I'm running firefox and I have a great huge space above the title with the menus hugging the left hand side as if scared to venture out into the space. Can I second the vote for a hello lalafell theme? :bounce:

I give this two thumbs up stamp of approval and am very excited to hear what will happen! For the olympics we're really only limited by our imaginations. real game competitions such as downing the NM's as Astrya mentioned above, fishing - most fish caught, certain species caught, etc. Relay running race around a certain area - teams of 4 people run along a stretch of the forest outside of gridania. Crafting - teams race to complete a certain recipe. Then you have events that could be held in the chat - examples I've seen in the past are: Pie making - competitors create the most imaginative pies they can think of with the winner being the one who doesn't kill off the judges Along the same lines there is cocktail creation - like the pies but with alcohol and more flames High Dive - competitors 'dive' in the most elaborate way they can think of, although winners were decided via random dice rolls in game. But anyways, food for thought at least

We at Elements will be putting our heads together, (and hoping not to bump too hard) to be creating some timezone friendly stuff. I saw it in a full theatre, loads of awwwws, laughs and cries from everyone made the whole experience for me I definatley think its a more streamlined version of the book, some Harry Potters in the past have made a mess of the story, this one just seemed to tell the story better....

I for one add my name to the list of 'Left for a few months but I am definatley coming back' Never played Wow and never want to So I'm not comparing either games but I stick to a comment I read earlier of "Why am I getting excited over things that should have been in the game from the start?" Such as a Broker, or at least an easier way of finding the items I need since 99% of gear and items in the game need to be crafted. Thats just an example I'm still in touch with my Linkshell and popping in and out of forums, I've gone back to decorating houses in Everquest 2 for a while

These videos really make me mad :twisted: Why chose a conj to solo? They're not the class with the highest dps, *spirit dart* *spirit dart* *spirit dart* *cure* you get the idea. Gridania has to be the worst place to start if you don't like running along winding tunnels with very few mobs to hit along the way as -everybody- who is ahead of you has the exact same idea.

Welcome to the forums and to the game! I think you're over thinking it waaaaay too much, playing in Eorzea time is not going to work for RP, when does your character sleep? She's able to stay up for months at a time talking to the same few other characters, rp events would take years to complete and could you really stay standing in one spot fishing for aslong as it takes to catch a fish sometimes? If one Eorzean minute is 2.5 seconds in reality then the 2 mins it takes you to reply to someone actually takes your character 48mins to reply (I think my math is a little rusty but you get the idea).
