  1. Remi is homosexual. Which I believe for those who know the character is one of the things fairly well known about her. For her, sexual orientation has always been a defining part of who she is, I think, and she doesn't really tip-toe around the matter when it comes up. She doesn't dislike attention from either gender, but makes it pretty clear where she stands. As for what she looks for... Well, she has broad tastes I guess. >u>;; But then her standards are also pretty high, and she has no real place for people who are quick to violence or brash in nature, prefering those with dispositions on the opposite end of the spectrum. Um... Races! She'd probably put them in order something like~ Hyur, Miqo', Elezen, Roegadyn... Haha! While writing this Xenedra posted, which I find amusing 'cause Remi's something like the opposite. She finds males typically shallow, predictable and dull and contrastingly women far more interesting and exciting. That said, male friends tend to make far more stable long term companions on the non-sexual side.
  2. I said yesterday, but I'll say it here too, that I love the Remi one. :'D It really made my day to see it, a super pleasant surprise. And it's Shiva! I love Shiva. ♥ -xxx
  3. >u> While I'm not interested in WoDO (I didn't know it existed 'till now), I've played the pen 'n' paper version. I largely have mixed feelings about the setting. Vampires are incredibly boring. Playing werewolves was pretty fun, but they suffer from Barbarian syndrome. Or "When you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail." That is, I can't stop wanting to assault things with the werewolves absurd strength. But I'll admit that I loved the Mages. I'd be very interested in that, if the rest of the stuff wasn't present This is actually something I know! Atleast in the pen and paper version, I can tell you... Dead things. Dead things happen. Werewolves (and other supernatural characters) are immune the the effects of the 'embrace', and the non-vamp simply dies from the attempt to convert them to vampire-dom. Assuming that was what you meant by 'bite' of course. Nothing stops a character from sucking blood from these creatures though, and there are usually amusing side effects from doing so.
  4. Welcome back! ♥ I am still around, and In a way I never left. >uo I just don't post much anymore. The embarrassment of seeing something you did years ago is unbearable. The fact is has been years is even worse. ;_;
  5. I've personally never cared about rank or Level. I've RPed a fight scene where I lost to a player who was a lower rank than me and I had great fun doing it! ~⪠I would like to think that the rank is not representive of a characters actual skill at whatever their doing, but I know that not everyone sees it that way. I've heard players badmouth others because of their low rank, and honestly, I think that's pretty sad. A bigger factor for you starting your own linkshell, I think, is that you need to have a decent number of players willing to join from the start. Even if you're a maximum rank, if you don't have other people to do stuff with, it's all for nothing.
  6. I'm sure people will. The point of MMos is to play with others as far as I'm concerned. So, I'd suggest trying to join another shell, rather than starting your own at this point. Hopefully we'll see a surge in people once more content comes in, and as Castiel said, that'd probably be the best time to start a LS of your own.
  7. Unofficial beta Testing~⪠Because the game isn't really finished. When the game was released, it was lacking in a lot of ways. They're working on adding content, changing systems, all kinds of things. Because they know it's not finished, there hasn't been a monthly fee so far and wont be one until they feel the game is "complete" enough. ⥠The game is quiet. A lot of people who bought the game on release have left because of this, but there are still players around. :3

    Hello again

Hmm. Regardless of why they do it, I think freelance RP will be a hard route to go. I'd personally advise you join a LS. None-the-less, welcome back. â¥

    Hello again

Hi there! :3 It seems as if everyone has closed themselves up into their LS's. I've rarely witnessed RP happening in public, and even if I do happen to witness a group of known RPers, they're often stood around in silence. So I assume that they're keeping themselves in party chat. It's a damn shame. :c
  10. Welcome. I hope you'll be cleaning up that mess you made. >u>
  11. An expensive night was had by all. vuv Congratulations to Oria and Merri. <3
  12. >u> Looks like you're having fun~

    Popo Art

Ahaha~ It's wonderful, I love how your art looks. and I'm a huge fan of expressions, so it's like a double victory for me! :3 And Merry Christmas to you! â¥
  14. I'm not quite dead yet. >u> Havn't been on the RPC for a while though. x: Ayaya~ x3 Piro of Megatokyo was actually a heavy influence in making me want to draw, and my early drawing style. I used to love reading Megatokyo (Though I stopped a couple of months after Largo left). I'm just surprised that you saw a connection! Havn't been doing a lot of XIV related artwork lately though. Either playing it (and not really making progress), or working on character pictures for something else. All I've done lately was a picture for Coralie. Cute little crazy kitty that she is ~â¥
  15. The Mog House seems rather taken with the Miner's guild, having assembled there frequently. Nothing better than meeting new friends over an ale~ â¥
  16. 1) Over the past 10 years, how many MMORPGs have you played? e) Five or more 2) How many hours do you spend online gaming per week? e) 13+ hours 3) In an MMORPG, do you interact with individuals you know outside the game? (i.e. in real life) a) Yes 4) What is most important in keeping your interest in an MMORPG? Select all that apply. If you choose Other, please specify. b) Graphics c) Environment/World d) Fun Factor f) Community 5) Do you believe it is possible for MMORPGs to be addictive? a) Yes 6) If you answered yes to question 5, have you or anyone you known been addicted to an MMORPG? a) Yes 7) How important is communication with others in an MMORPG? a) Very important 8) Do you feel you have made valuable relationships in any MMORPGs? How would you characterize these relationships in contrast to those in real-life? Are there any differences? Similarities? Please elaborate. I've made a long-term friend through playing an MMO. We've been friends for some 6 years now, I'd class them very similar to my real life friends. I don't really know how to elaborate on this... 9) Do MMORPGs offer modes of communication or support you are unable to find in your geographic location, life situation, or circumstances right now? Please elaborate. I think the internet does that more than MMO's specifically. 10) What methods do you use to communicate with others in MMORPGs? Please select all that apply. If you select Other, please specify. a) Friend List b) Chat Channel c) Voice Communication d) Guild/Linkshell/Corporation/Clan e) Forum 11) Do you view MMORPGs as a potential mode of story-telling, an alternative to book, film, or television? Why or why not? Yes~ I consider all computer games an alternative to book, film or television. I consider RPing games (pen and paper ones) to also be an alternative to book, film or television. I consider them better than book, film or television. 12) What environments do you enjoy experiencing in MMORPGs? Why do you enjoy those particular kinds? a) Fantasy worlds b) Science fiction worlds c) Contemporary realistic worlds d) Historical worlds e) Frightening/ horrific worlds f) Other _______________________________ *u* 13) Do you role-play in game? a) Yes c) Sometimes >_> 14) Does your in-game avatar represent you in real life, either in physical appearance, personality, conversation, or other actions? Why or why not? Yes and no~ Personality wise I always find my RP characters have atleast soemthing in common with myself. Physically we're not much alike. 15) Do you play MMORPGs to avoid/cope with problems in real life (i.e. school procrastination, illness, marital problems, etc)? Maybe >_> Maybe that's why I RP <_< 16) Do you believe that MMORPGs can serve an escapist function, that is, a coping mechanism for real life stress, boredom, etc? Why or why not? Maybe <_< Maybe that's why I RP >_> 17) What do you believe is the future of MMORPGs? Please elaborate. I think there is one, but I'm far from creative enough to envision it. MMO's follow a single track, and that track seems to have stopped somewhere. FFXIV is pretty different from the MMO's I have played, and this pleases me, there may be hope yet.
  17. Ahaha~ ://3 Thank you very much for all the positive comments again. Been playing a fair bit lately, not really drawn much as a consequence. Will have to make some time~
  18. That's some really interesting stuff right there! I was thinking perhaps it was intentional~ Like, How english people all veiw the americans as cheeseburger munchers with their pickup trucks (not really~ example, don't hit me ;_; ) And the americans think british wear bowler hats, or carry parasoles all day and drink nothing but tea (if they do think that, they'd be spot on). Setting up all the different languages to have different impressions of the various ingame cultures and settings? Seems like a silly thing to do though, when you think about it. Since it is EXTREMELY unlikely that any of those minor differences would come up and be recognised as anything other than creativity rather than lore. More likely I think is that: Giving out a nice big section of well written japanese description about each race/area, the translations teams get lazy/rushed and only do a little bit of the whole thing. I wouldn't be surprised~
  19. I was a lot like that when I started. There's all this stuff going on, and I couldn't really get into it. Combat was allright, Crafting impossible, Gathering not really my thing (Still gave it a shot though, and I know some people love~ some of the gathering disciplines >u> ). The crafting Leve's really help you get those needed ranks up, and battle leve's see a nice~ gil increase at rank 10. Grouping up with others and assiting on their leve's is also pretty fun, earns you some extra gil. All that is just repeating what Asyria said, but it's true. For me, personally, one of the biggest things helping me stay sane and not get really mad was joining a linkshell. Moghouse, actually. (Not a recruitment plug, just sharing~) Having other people to talk to, or even listen to, is really really nice. ⥠Running around these cities with the only thing you hear being "WTB BRONZE NAILS PST" makes it feel pretty lonely.
  20. Similar problems. Tried them out the other night~ Managed to get them to trigger going off about half the time, the other times only one of us would trigger. Also, no debuff symbol or evidence that a bonus of any kind had taken effect. But it looks so pretty *u* Totally worth it~ â¥
