Thanks, i bookmarked the site and if we get any on Gilgamesh we will check it out. LOL I don't think Ive ever been on a game that feels like siege warfare just to get a character made on a specific server before. Yeah. You have to wait until the wee hours of the morning to get into either server. :C I dread trying to make my Au ra in a day or two.

I am both intrigued and scared. I appreciated the general storytelling of this game when I was a kid, but I have since tried to revisit it since I've grown and I had a serious urge to strangle Cloud through much of the plot. Or wheel him in his little chair off a nearby cliff-face. I hope that changes somewhat.

The comment above about Gilgamesh is mostly true, but there are many cross FC events a week, some taking place in open world settings. As for open world RP, hard to find, but that is mostly because we were bogged down by trolls. A good group of people though. If you choose Gilgy be sure to send me a tell in game. I'll give you some decent linkshells to get you in the community

Earlier someone nabbed the statistics of one of their linkshells and that made me quite curious. I jumped into the FC and attempted to figure out the ratio of female to male characters in my group. 20:19 Despite having a recruitment freeze there are new characters daily it seems and I didn't even know who some people were. So there are some characters unaccounted for. Actual factual RL female players? 4. That I know of. While interesting do I think any of this matters? Nope. I'm very much of the opinion that you should RP what you want if it is fun for you. (It /is/ your $15 a month after all) I would readily admit that if I had to RP sexy times (hurr nurr nurr) on my main (who is a male) I wouldn't really know how to handle it (cause I'm not). As for all other RP, I really doubt that gender has much bearing on anything. As far as I am concerned a man and a woman who receive the same training in swordplay can stab at things on fairly equal terms. Something I have observed is that people tend to pay less attention to characters that are male and gravitate to the female ones. I'm not the only one that has noticed this, many of my friends considered using fantasia to make their characters female so they could actually find more RP. It became a bit of a running joke after awhile. My own personal female to male ratio with my characters? 3:3. Go figure. I just play what intrigues me, and makes me happy.

Currently there is no room in this LS. I am trying to take screenshots of active people in an attempt to prune it, but this is a process that takes a week or so. I can suggest the LS "Random Role Play", you may want to look up the LS on the lodestone because I can't remember the leader of it at the moment.

It honestly doesn't surprise me all that much. SE has some pretty strict policies as is. When the weddings went live people were trying to sell the platinum bands for gil. While it was technically an in game item for in game items it was also considered RMT, and was frowned up by SE. In a way I can see art being in the same vein. Kinda sad, because I wanted to make some gil with my art. Guess I'll have to do it the good ol' fashioned way!

I'm getting weird flashbacks here! I've seen a situation similar to this explode in linkshells. Let's not allow this to explode, hmm? If the gender of the person behind the character is currently important to OP then so be it. I'm female playing a male in game, does that mean people might not want to RP with me based on that? Probably, but I hope not! Good RPers to fit your needs come from every gender. Try not to single them out!

*the person who plays the pregnant lala begins sobbing and walking off into the sunset* It's ok! My girlfriend's Lalafel character is pregnant at the moment. Do not weep! I understand there are a lot of strong feelings about Lalafel relationships. When I first started the game my girlfriend had already been playing a Lalafel for three months. With no desire to really RP a relationship with said character I made a male Elezen! Because reasons. After playing for quite some time she brought up to me the possibility of a relationship between our two main characters. My first reaction was "Gods no. She looks like a baby and that's just weird." In time I came to realize that not everyone perceive Lalafel the same way. She views them more like halflings or hobbits and this really reflects in the way she draws her character. Once I got comfortable with viewing them in such a way I was open to the possibility of a relationship. In character my Elezen had never once considered her character to be a possibility. It turns out, through some very cute and amusing RP, he realized he had found his soul mate in a very tiny package indeed. I guess he did fall in love with her emotionally first and foremost, while he considered her pretty he had not found her attractive until a little later. On the physical aspect he even turned himself into a Lalafel at one point to better be with her, which rather bothered her actually, but that's a whole other story. And that would lead into her current predicament, being 8 months pregnant ( I would like to say this is 8 months real world time here people. :v No rapid ninja pregnancy here. ) Many people really like the relationship we've developed between our two mains. I would say you can RP any type of relationship you want so long as it makes sense for your character to be in said relationship. If I hadn't have said yes to the possibility my Elezen wouldn't be holding a baby the size of the palm of his hand in a few weeks time. JUST IMAGINE HOW ADORABLE THAT IS? The world can't live without tiny babies.
