How else are they supposed to have all the mobs destroy all the cannons around the map and make the instance longer and more difficult?! Livia's wet-noodle attacks could almost wipe a party! In the event it's not apparent, some sarcasm has been employed. The sad thing is, I can imagine having a party where someone would say that and be completely serious. Some of mine have been that way as of late.

I recently had a healer respond to my berserk macro with a macro of their own dedicated to mocking berserk macros. Is this some sort of holiday I don't know about where all the healers get to be pricks and shirk doing anything associated with healer job roles in this game, DPSing included?

I'm sorry, but there is no good reason NOT to learn how to do this. Stance dancing is a valuable skill, so valuable in fact that the new Hall of the Novice teaches you to do it. It helps meet dps checks in later instances, and it makes lower level instances go by much faster. You learn things like Holy as a WHM and Gravity as an AST so you can spam them during pulls. It's a perfectly reasonable expectation of your party that if healing is not a priority, you contribute to the overall dps with those abilities of yours that would otherwise sit there stagnating. This is your job. Nothing you mentioned wasn't an actual mistake. A good healer knows when to dps and when to heal and for how long, swapping between stances at a moment's notice and appropriately using their CDS and procs to ensure their tanks and dps stay alive.

So I was doing Praetorium today for my Main Scenario roulette as WAR. I had a DRK as our second tank with a Hyperconductive Skoffnung to compete with my Padjali Axe. The instance starts out with him lecturing us on how to "properly" sackpull and faceroll through the first encounters after the MNK decides to do it for us (and to be honest, if we're skipping content, does it even matter who does it?) We make it to the first boss, and I proceed to pull it because I'm a level 50 synced WAR, and I have no OT stance. The DRK, however, decides they wanna MT, and they spend the entire fight blowing all their mp on DA Power Slashes. I explain to them before the next boss that I have no OT stance, and that I will always pull hate off them as a result. Their response? [13:14](DRK) dont need it here, no worries Okay, then, so I guess we've reached an understanding? Apparently not, because he spends the next boss, Nero, doing the exact same thing. When the Power Slashes fail, he mixes in a few Unleashes in a desperate bid to get aggro, outright refusing to turn off Grit and accept the role of OT. Same story for Gaius, and same story for Ultima Weapon phase 1 and 2, where he manages to completely deplete ALL HIS MP trying to gain aggro. He even tries Provoking, but so much as one Storm's Eye manages to get my aggro back. By this point, i'm not the only one pissed at him. [13:21](Amanda Bloom) [DRK] should just switch jobs at this point. terrible tank He continues this charade all the way to the last fight against Lahabrea, where I take aggro and hold it without interruption the whole way through. He ends the instance on next to no mp. I walk away with several commendations.

AV. It's always AV. We all have AV horror stories. AV Horror Stories, you say? Well, then... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qTrgCWpLlM Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society... I was leveling up my MNK through dungeon runs, so naturally, I had to go through AV. We loaded in and approached the first chamber with our healer, second dps, and our PLD tank. PLD wobbled around aimlessly like something out of Twitch Plays Pokemon for a bit, then ram right up to the mobs. He didn't use shield toss, he didn't use flash. He just ran around grabbing aggro that lasts about five seconds from about three trash piles, including the first toad, then spams JUST Rage of Halone with no combo on each enemy, as if compelled to believe this will actually work. After inevitably wiping, I decided that maybe I should explain how this game actually works to him, and so I did. He attempted to do what I commanded about twice, each time dying to the mobs that we then carefully mopped up for him. We made it to the boss, and, surprising no one, he ran up to the boss, flashed, and then RoH spammed again, but thanks to the efforts of our healer, he does not die, nor I when I inevitably pulled all the aggro off of him. We beat the boss, and I asked the group if we're willing to continue to try and teach this lummox who somehow made it past the Brayflox idiot wall, or if we should just kick him. Shocking all, he decided for us, and left. Having gone through that, I never want to hear that I'm a toxic player with no patience ever again.

If these guys don't have a mecha of their own with which to fight Alexander i'm gonna be sorely disappointed.

I had all but forgotten that show's existence. WHY MUST YOU REMIND ME OF IT

Had a wonderful little thing happen in a run of Hullbreaker HM last week, and I've decided to share it all with you. We had a group consisting of an AST, myself as a PLD, a MCH, and a BLM. We reached the last set of trash mobs before the final boss, specifically Low and High Tide, with myself and BLM getting there first, and as I approached the two, I stopped to let the rest of the group catch up. Before this can happen, though, BLM begins casting a Fire III. I stand there and watch as he pulls the two, and decide if this guy is gonna pull for me, he might as well tank it, and tank it he ends up doing, putting strain on our healer, all while I stand there and watch. I cracked a joke to our BLM, telling him that if he wanted to tank for me, he should've just said so at the start and I would have let him. As I approach the next mob, the AST tries to get me votekicked for "Harassment". The vote fails, however and the BLM retorts and DEFENDS ME against the AST, telling them that what I said was not only NOT HARASSMENT, but that he had thicker skin than that. We proceed to finish the instance, and the BLM mocks the AST when the boss is down. AST leaves with a single "LOL", totally not salty, and the BLM and I are left together alone for a moment. He and I share a laugh at AST's expense, and I give him the commendation AST would have gotten had they not tried to get me votekicked. Wherever you are, thick-skinned pug BLM, I hope you are blessed in the future with better ASTs than the one you and I had to put up with, you glorious bastard.

Fuck Minotaur in particular. That is all.

I met my ex-GF over a little video game called Spore. Maxis hosted a "dance contest" on youtube, and her entry made it into the top 3, only to lose to a low-budget Happy Feet knockoff. She introduced me to emulation, Touhou, and MLPFIM, as well as several animes that I thoroughly enjoyed. It was nice while it lasted, I guess.
