  1. "So, it's utterly worthless, then?" The merchant gave Kokoporo a shrug. "'Fraid so..." He held the pearl ring up to the light, glancing it over from beneath bronze spectacles. "I gotta say, it's surely the realest looking fake I've ever seen, but that sound you hear...?" He tapped it against the counter a few times for good measure. "Distinct sound of glass filled with wax." Kokoporo sighed loudly, letting his upper body hang in disgust. His thoughts returned to the man he had met in the brumes of Ishgard, a poor sod who had written a check he couldn't cash with a couple of corrupt knights for the promise of medicine for his ailing wife. Kopo had offered to help, and so he was given the last remaining possession the man had: a pearl ring that he was sure Kopo could get a good price for in the markets of Ul'dah. The very same ring that had now been declared completely fake. "Uh, you alright there, sir?" Kokoporo had wedged his head against the counter in quiet agitation. Monetarist he may have been, the truth was he had failed to secure any reliable form of income in a long while. The initial gold mine that was the various gems he had brought with him on his first visit to Ul'dah was bleeding out. Furthermore, the locations of where he had found such gems he had willingly thrown out to various merchants, and since he had defied the other Monetarists as he joined the Order, he was sure not to see any royalties. And of course the bleeding knights making offers one couldn't refuse wanted a gods damned fortune for medicine that didn't even seem to be working, according to the man in the Brume. "UGH...I'll be fine..." No he wouldn't. Kokoporo lifted his head from the counter muttering for the merchant to "keep the dern ring..." He swiftly turned on his heel, marching towards the exit of the Steps of Thal, hoping to make his way back to the Aetheryte. As he made his way through the Steps of Nald, his ears caugh the sound of some commotion just outside the Quicksand. Letting curiosity get the best of him, Kokoporo waddled towards the scene, instinctfully gripping the handle of the blunt greatsword strapped to his back, arriving to find several people gathered around his friend the Roegadyn, Steel Wolf, looking unhappy and a bit in her cups at the moment. "...Eh? Steel? What are ya...Hey!" He rushed towards her, only to be blocked by the tall body of a rather mouthy Miqo'te. "H-hey...Outta the way!"
  2. That was my headcanon theme for Judge Jredthys.
  3. 1. Thavnairan set 2. Wind-up Leviathan 3. Orchestrion
  4. For Kopo: SPJWMhpey0M Do I even need to explain? I'm worried I might have to.
  5. Awkward Steel? Yes. Yes. YES.
  6. I'm always welcome to meeting people from the RPC. There's not a single person here who I do not/did not want to meet at one point or another.
  7. Nodem has arguably my favorite signature on the entire forum. I wish I had that kind of RNG favor.
  8. Playing around with the new poses. I'm digging this outfit for him; he's like a little Hobbit~!
  9. So, are you saying there's a chance we could have ended up with Robotnik and Amy Rose showing up as VAs in our FFXIV? I misread that as 4kids for some reason.
  10. I have to agree with a lot of this. Unfortunately for me, I still hear Urianger's 2.0 VA whenever I read his lines.
  11. Shouldn't be too much of an issue. Kopo occasionally returns to Ul'dah, though he does so relatively disguised.
  12. Those were bad healers then . But not all tanks had good self heals, but those should be a last measure as a healer we should make your job easy. Only bustin out the heavy stuff as a last ditch. But most healers don't know how tanks really work, they should play one and see how it is from the other side of things. This is exactly why Mentors must have a level 60 Tank, Healer, and DPS.
  13. I never gave a damn, anyroad. I was hoarding VIT long before this patch.
  14. Because.... ... You know, I really don't know. Maybe it's stress. Maybe it's the fact that I can't even begin to think about writing a novel while I live with my awful family. Maybe I'm afraid people will hate it. Maybe I'm afraid people will love it to the point it creates a wretched fanbase. I don't know.
  15. Me? Mentoring newbies? That sounds wonderful! I can picture it now...~ "And now he extends his influence like gruesome tendrils to curl over the diluted masses, piercing their minds with minimal effort and intense glee. Slowly, surely, he runs his fingers across their mindscape, sowing seeds in gray matter that burst forth and extend their roots deep within, raising a veritable crop of the mindless for him to reap in one swift movement. All the while, he coos, "I am here to help you. I will make you better than what you were." And the most frightening thing? He is right. For in his deceit, he spares man the burden of knowing. 'Tis better to be ignorant, than to see and know that mankind was never meant to travel far..." :3
  16. Aradial would care very little for her breasts being exposed. She's shirtless? And...? Why should she give a damn? They're just breasts, they're not going to harm anyone.
  17. Dogberry may be badguy, but that does not mean he is bad guy...
  18. Edgar would definitely have the fighting style of Patchouli Knowledge in Scarlet Weather Rhapsody. Book open, lazily floating about, completely unsatisfied with the fight itself, maybe even bored, yet dodging competently and firing off spell after spell. Maybe even swinging his tome at people when things get especially tiresome. imHxm_vKFEA
  19. So, it's been a few years since I started this game. In that time, I've mostly been a casual rper trying desperately to enforce some sort of story arc on my characters. All of them have detailed backstories and reasons for being where they are today. The problem is, I'd like them all to go somewhere and they never really have. People come and go, interactions happen, and then they go nowhere significant. The reasons for this are many; a lack of general confidence in my abilities as an rper, a bad taste in my mouth from interactions with people in the past, and of course, good old fashioned procrastination. Today I've decided to suck it up and finally propose an idea for an arc. Upon careful consideration, I've found that Kopo is the character I'm most confident in, and I wanted to run an idea by you all that I had for the guy. First, though, some backstory: Kopo is a knight Lalafell from beyond the Sagoli. He joined the Sworn as an pseudo-Royalist, wishing to get back at the merchants who attempted a hit on his head, having been saved just in the nick of time by one of the Sultansworn stationed about the city. As time went on he began to enjoy the position and the idea of being a knight in shining armor for the people of Ul'dah crept into his big head. Unfortunately, this clashed with the priorities of those who stated that he was devoted to protecting the Sultana and Sultana alone, as well as those who had simply believed the fight against the Syndicate's utter corruption to have been lost long ago. Kopo turned out to be quite idealistic in what he thought the Sultansworn should do and stand for, and as reality closed in, he became more and more bitter towards the whole thing. After an argument with another Paladin brought on by their utter unwillingness to help him protect another, Kopo quit the Gallantry in a huff, announcing he was now a Free Paladin. He fled to Ishgard, and you can find him there to this day, sitting in front of the fireplace in the Forgotten Knight. With this established, I'd like to propose a concept I had where Kopo began aiding those suffering in the Brumes of Ishgard. One day, someone sees him in action, and being a Paladin or something similar, they take him under their wing and bring out his potential to be a proper knight, perhaps even the kind of knight he decided he wanted to be from the very beginning. If anyone likes the concept and would like to join in, or you have anything to contribute in general, please leave a reply to this thread. Thank you.
