  1. There's actually a set of horns that look like fins. I could see this working.
  2. Well, I got this: Chachanji and Virara got handcuffed together and lost the key. Which, all things considered, is a problem that would last for about three seconds. Not even enough time for a "You can't break those cuffs" joke. He'd better break them before she starts feeding on him, because apparently those little canines are sharp. I... didn't know we were combining the prompts. :surprise: Well, if we are... Apparently, it doesn't work out.
  3. Well, let's give this a whirl, shall we? THE TURNS HAVE TABLED.
  4. I've really tried to make the best of a shitty situation, this month, because last year, I burned a lot of bridges, hurt people who didn't deserve it, hell, I even had a friend driven out of the community on the behalf of somebody who wished to get even with me. My new years resolution was multifaceted: Be a good person, get some positive things done, get a job, and, oh yeah, don't kill yourself, 'cause that's a thing that could happen to someone with your condition. Today my mother told me something awful, and followed it up with an act that summed up what she thinks of me and my worth as a human being. If this kind of stuff is something you think you can talk about with me, maybe even make me feel a little better, feel free to PM me and I'll give you the lowdown, as I did with all the wrong people last year, but for the mostpart, I could just use a hug. If you need some good news to warrant even getting close to me, I got a bike and I grew a beard. Chicks dig beards, right? Look at that suave figure. The pencil neck. The pencil neck-beard. The limbs that look like they're held on by glue. Dat sweater. I'll get all the ladies. 8-)
  5. Those moments when tanking when I specify to the WHM that they can freely dps during trash mobs and I'll be okay, and then I die because they're busy Holy-ing instead of healing me. This gets especially bad when they tell me they're sorry for letting me die, when I gave them orders to neglect me in the first place. Even if it is partly their fault, it's also mine for not being a good judge of their micromanaging skills. Like, don't apologize to me, I failed you! I couldn't keep my own stupid ass alive! It's really silly, but I feel guilty all the same.
  6. I've been online a little bit more than usual, as of late, on Aradial for the mostpart, if you feel like sending a request my way.
  7. I refuse to play this unless it's possible to model Hideo Kojima in the character creator.
  8. Or Lord Raptor in Darkstalkers! ...No? No? Okay...
  9. Found an AFK Sariel Hawke in Ul'dah for the umpteenth time. Umbral Isle has some spectacular lighting effects. OOC outfit. For now.
  10. From Sidurgu's experience, we can gather that Ishgard views the Au Ra as being of Dravanian descent. Whether or not that attitude prevails in the wake of the events of the Expanision I can't say for sure.
  11. I'm reminded of One Piece for some reason.
  12. As a person who plays DOTA 2 often, and is currently sifting through low-priority matches... The "community" as it were of players on Balmung, is nowhere near as toxic as a MOBA game's can be. The thing is, there's no competitive drive to this game, whereas MOBAs are basically mini-tournaments every match where there is no retry after failure, and during the entire thing, especially when you do happen to fail, you get shit like this. I think I would have bashed my skull in with a blunt object by now if the MMO community was anywhere near that on a regular basis.
  13. All immersion jokes aside, I'm looking forward to using that suit on Kopo. It's bound to be adorable on the little guy.
  14. Yeah, that's how I was running with it IC. The new quest line does, however, throw a big monkey wrench into that. Rowena's dialogue seems pretty casual about the whole thing, unfortunately. So, I suppose the direction I'm going to go is the same as I have for the Gubal Library: some people have relatively ready access to it, but it's basically a new area that's not been well-explored thus far. Because of its distance and the danger, it's not a place most people can or will go. Why, you'd need to be in good with the Ironworks, own your own airship, be a sky pirate, or have some other IC justification to be up there regularly. It's a giant floating landmass in the sky. I'm fairly certain people took notice.
  15. Same, it would completely ruin the atmosphere. Immersion's bound to be ruined at some point. What I'm curious about is why your immersion wasn't ruined several years ago? The motorcycle, after all the other content, is what's pushing you over the edge? To be honest, I think it fits in just fine, considering this is going to be riding alongside Magitek Armor. That'd be kind of badass, I feel.
  16. Kokoporo's tale is a case of idealistic expectations and naivety clashing with reality. Kokoporo goes into things expecting it to turn out a certain way, and when it doesn't, he becomes distressed and bitter. He left his home in the desert searching for his sister and opportunity. He joined the Gallantry believing them to be wholly pure, just, and the most influential in Ul'dah. He defied the Monetarists hoping to set an example. His idealism has since then come to clash with the realities of being a Sultansworn, to such an extent that he could no longer bear the title, and leaving him isolated from the rest of the knights and departing to Ishgard. Kopo could be a great Paladin, one day, he just needs a little direction.
  17. A song that chills me to the bone when I listen to it.
  18. A sadistic gothic lolita with an umbrellaxe. Yes, you read that right. Umbrellaxe.
  19. I'm not sure this is accurate, considering that many people on these boards are excited for the likes of Blade and Soul and Black Desert. Not to mention that, again, it's possible to like some portions of a game and not other portions. Liking something in its totality is not at all necessary, and only liking portions of something is a common and expected way to approach many facets of life. Well, take this with a pinch of salt for obvious reasons but...in my experience quite a lot of people on sites such as this gush over whatever is the 'next big thing' and find themselves eager to invest in new MMO's. Then they realise that for whatever reason those games become stagnant in their eyes, too, and either go back to their previous MMO of choice or once again set their sights on the next big MMO. As for liking some portions of the game and not others? Yeah, I'm the same way. I figured that went without saying though. Yet there's some posters who seem to be consistently negative about the game as a whole and rarely have anything pleasant to say...which ties in with my earlier point about negativity. I imagine quite a few players - myself included - are eagerly awaiting the arrival of some meaty new content. Yet it's much, much more useful if feedback is presented in a civil and constructive manner through the appropriate resources. I'm sure if somebody wrote a well written feedback thread and shared it on this site or tumblr then it'd gain quite a bit of attention from other players. I think it has less to do with behavior and more to do with money.
  20. It's always been this way, sure. Doesn't mean that people can't or won't grow tired of it. I really like the game and I'm trying my best to keep playing it, but I really wish that they would do something that doesn't feel like it's getting totally pointless. You and I both. I've said on multiple occasions that the community is legitimately the only reason I play this game, anymore. I have friends, here and there, and I get good rp every now and then, but I'll be the first to admit the daily grind for tomestones is a mood-killer, and that the WoW Themepark MMORPG experience both saved and will inevitably kill this game. Any time I hear them say, "We listened to feedback", I know it's just them lowering the costs of the old Tomestones so they can introduce new ones, lowering the difficulty on old raids so we can get to the new raids, etc. and really has nothing to do with us complaining about the system at all.
  21. This post sums up my thoughts on the matter rather nicely, I feel. You'd think it'd be common sense that you can't maintain order if your own Development team can't decide on what the rules are.
  22. Whenever I get a roulette like that, I designate the non-Lalafell as "Babysitter."
