"Winning Not Necessary" -- Idea for a PvP linkshell?
Tla replied to little-patchy's topic in FFXIV Discussion
Eh, I would love this. The thing that always kept me away from PVP the most are PVPers, namely the ones for whom a loss is literally the end of the world. And in this case...oh my, I want those armors! Though keep in mind I'm not good and have bad latency, just saying <.< -
I don't know if there's such an example between the npcs, but as far as pcs go, I met a female Seeker who was joining her Keeper mate's tribe and changing her name, because she despised her tribe and their uses while feeling at home between Keepers.

Mhmh seen it, it's reeally nice! And the house also looks very big, wonder how large will be. Shame it can't be entered.
-
They must have really done some effort for it Wanna see!! First ward I suppose?
-
Haave some stuff. Just a few recent to keep myself. I really fell in love of housing areas, especially Lavender. "I'm sure nobody can see me here!" - Goblet in the mist (no no, not in Limsa's area) ...and in its lushiness - For some reason I love the coulours of this - Family reunion The very moment of: "Did your eye get hurt?" "No, it's just too look more menacing!" "..." - Damn it...a work call in the middle of the night... Why!
-
Not even with an elezen?
-
Mh yeah must say animations here don't help us much, they're way too cute-ish and girlish. Sometimes when I sue one in rp it makes me cringe because my character is nothing like that.
-
Mm, one could easily accuse a Hyur player such as myself as being "boring" and "generic", inversely against accusing Miqo'te players of having a fetish. Exactly. Maybe you're just too used to Miqo'te players? If we want the ones playing Roe/Highlander have a fetish for being big and strong, the Lalas for being hyperchibicute, etc. I really fail to see how a Miq is not unique if not for the reason a lot of roleplayers picked that race. As for the sexy thing...luckily I have yet to meet someone playing that race like that. And you RPed with me, you can't sure say T'la is like that
-
First of all, I can only stand playing characters with normal proportions. No hulks or dwarfs or giraffes (sorry elezen but those proportions..ouch). This leaves me with Miqote and Hyur. Not much choice already. I also love up-ears and tails. Yes I do. It's not a fetish, I don't see why people must relate it to sex all the time. As a kid haven't you ever watched another mammal and thought "oooh it must be fun moving a tail". Plus for me cateyes add to the charm (in Seekers case). You see, it's also different. Hyur are...us. While I don't like playing too weird shapes, playing a human is fun between limits. You ca play human in ecah and every game after all, and they're always the same thing, not only in looks but for the whole racial. In this game, Miqos also have all the side of tribes and whatnot, which I figure fascinates many folks. I don't play as tribal but I like having that elements in my race and in my rp, it adds spice. Or you could just go with the old "people loves catgirl/boys".

I'd say it's not for the house per se, but for the associated benefits, like crafting stations, chocobo stables, etc. I remember in Aion some people would buy an house ad leave it completely unfurnished and undecorated, because they only cared about the bonuses one gives. At this point I'd almost rather housing be just cosmetic, eh....
-
I would avoid putting a house in the same ward as them. Several of RareX's members have been griefing roleplayers on Balmung recently, several days in a row. I'm not usually much for mentioning stuff like this, but this is severe/recurring enough to validate a heads up, imo Doesn't surprise me much. What ward did they buy it in? First, I suppose? I love how the only ones who can afford a roleplayer's dream are the rp haters
-
A Tardis. Clearly, who in posses of that would choose other means? And the chocobo...tried with a coeurl? Much faster! But really, so much imagination, you have a treasure there ^^

I think that there's a language gap here. By advertising in this thread, the OP made it fairly clear what the characters were for. Only those actually interested in such RP would obviously respond, and since the OP (and others) have explained the situation, that's OOC consent. Mh I think the misunderstanding here is the OP didn't specify the purpose, just said "you know what I mean wink wink nudge nudge" and "I don'tknow what the Nunh has planned for them". I guess those who answered positively, or at least some of them, weren't expecting slavery and such. Just doing a wild guess that if the topic was about "selling slaves etc" like some others, all this mess wouldn't have been here to begin with. *shrugs*

I. Basic Info Characters: T'lamila Sheqa, Noreen Wheeler, Yoyoke Yoke, Sihel Nelhan Primary character: T'lamila Sheqa Linkshells: - Primary RP linkshell: - II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I'd say Medium. I like to RP the most I can, and I like serious RP like plots and whatnot, but I'm not full time IC (ex. if you see me in WHM clothes, you can be sure I'm not IC) and I also like to engage in other game's activities. Views on RP combat and injuries: Injuries are fine as long as OOC consent is given. If they come from DMIng, they're fine without previous consent as long as not permanent and/or very heavy. I sure wouldn't like if a DM suddenly decided I'd be better off without an arm. Views on IC romance: I'm all for it as long as the thing plays well OOC, I thik it usually takes a good dose of trusting and knowledge of each other, otherway it risks being carried over in form of OOC drama. Also, I don't ERP. Nothing against it, I just don't like it myself. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): As above, requires a lot of behind the scenes work. I'm quite reluctant though to inserting someone as permanent member of my character's life, since if something bad happens with that person OOC, you find yourself either forced to RP with someone you'd rather not see at all, or have your character in a very problematic situation. Views on lore: Lore is good, lore is cool. I sure don't like lorebenders, I think we should work with what we are given. But, at the same time, I neither like it being too restrictive, some things can be worked out. I consider game mechanics separate from lore itself, so while I can by system be each and every class, I'd have a hard time taking seriously someone who RPs such a character. And I believe the storyline our "hero" goes through, as in all MMOs, can hardly be the way your character is. If you can find a way to put fighting Primals, being part of Scions etc in your story, all the best for you, but always keep in mind you are interacting with other people and not writing a book, so everything must be interactions-acceptable, in my opinion. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): In say, I only consider someone IC if it's pretty apparent that person is IC at the moment. If someone passes by and throws an emote at me, I consider it OOC. Whispers, I consider OOC unless specified, but got myself the annoying habit of writing OOC whispers in brackets with people whom I know does the same. The other chats go as specified, LSs usually state if their chat is IC or OOC. Shouts and all other public channels are for me OOC, apart from specific situations - ex: a voice need to be read over others in rp, when it's cluttered, Yell can come pretty handy. Party can be either or, as long as stated beforehand. Usually OOC but if the situation would rather be played in party chat then i say, can be IC: III. Other Info Country: Somewhere over European rainbow Timezone: GMT+1/CET Contact info: Here, or Artemisia on enjin [glow=blue]~Special announcements can be found in the posts below~[/glow]

So far only did a single match, just to try. My experience was om wth is going on what's all these conditions on people etc until I died and the rest of the group followed. The 3 persons I ended up with though (apparently a premade?) knew some tricks, and they informed me, before the battle started, that I had to cast Medica2 before battle start (see it as upkeep regen on everybody, imho) and stick with the tank for the whole fight since he would protect me. That's all I know sadly. I also heard healers in general are pretty much in a pitiful state in this game's pvp so...

I don't wanna throw more brace in the fire, because this thread is far too hot enough but...I'm kinda surprised at how people is more shocked and indignated at the thought of ERP then slaves trade. I'm personally shocked at none since it's just fiction, and not everything can be cute fluffy happy, but...sure the thought of a Nunh collecting wmen to trade them as slaves and with the purpose of humilitiang them in the worse way possible would disgust me much more then a Nunh building an harem

Don't you mean it's bigger on the inside? Or also comes to my mind....

Welcome! I'd say it was a good server choice regardless of your sleeping patterns, since there's no European unofficial rp forums, so we're all here on NA disguised...but shhh or they're recognize us! *puts hood on and sneaks towards the dusk*

Oh yes I missed that part ^^

Aren't you the ones who hated on my Seeker for "spitting over traditions"? Ooor I'm gettin confused?
-
A few videos ago they had said approximately 6months after FC one...no idea how reliable that was though. I thought that was a large one? Also, I've been said on Balmung no house is up yet instead?

It's from a quests arc in Aleport

I sure got sad when I looked at my crafting interface and seen all the shiny new pieces of forniture I can craft...and thought I'll probably never be able to craft them for myself
