It'll probably be all papery and nasty. Flower petals don't last long; you should model that. I am amused that Granny Aysun is now a discussed character. Just makes me determined to kill her when I decide to quit XIV in however many years.. Granny Aysun must never be.

I wouldn't call that an accent really, rather just having the ability produce the extra sounds described in the naming conventions thread (the hiss/spit 'h' for example), because she is Miqo'te. Though since her tribe seems to be separated from Gridania and other Keeper tribes, I bet they have their own accent that they're not even aware of since they speak what is probably their own variant of the old language. (OT, just got me musing.) I don't think I ever have seen anything from NPCs or lore stating that Miqo'te, or any other race for that matter, have or had their own language, so I'm pretty sure I might have just assumed on that one. But it made sense that a culture as different as Miqo'te, along with the fact that we know they migrated from a place that wasn't connected to Eorzea by land all made me kind of guess that them having their own unique language made sense. I never did really figure out a way to RP Manari having an accent because I have no idea what this accent could even sound like. I love the idea of it though, and I'd like to bring it out a bit more in ARR when Manari will be returning to her roots anyway. I would really like to find some way to implement a subtle accent with her. I'm not sure how to even RP the hissing either. I feel like something like that might get annoying if I RPed it constantly. Hmmm.... I'm going to have to think on this more. I would not even try with the hissspitthing, tbh.. the "h" in words implies they're pronouncing it differently because Manari's a Miqo'te. Doesn't mean you have to do anything in game with your text, it's just.. assumed. I also think it is implied that there was an old language for Miqo'te (and likely the other races too, considering), even if there's no hard lore on it yet, just by the naming conventions. It's rather hard to RP in accent imo to begin with, without ending up talking like the sailors in Limsa, but Manari has a "style" of speaking that is her own already, so I wouldn't worry about defining an accent /OT

Seekers just use the A', not Ah' ("Ah" is the sound), for the antelope tribe. And I just figured I'd put this out here since you like forests: the Keepers of the Moon Miqo'te and Wildwood Elezen are the most associated with the Black Shroud (the giganto forest in XIV). We Seekers tend to favor the sea and the desert, so far, according to SE anyway. Though they're kinda in all the cities none the less, so it wouldn't matter that much. x3 And of course, this doesn't mean you have to follow it. Just offering some lore! Welcome! Yessss, SR. Also you sent me a PM a looong time ago when you were going to start that entertainment LS. I think I saw you when you came back and we were dragging Arydin on Darkhold runs with the Nebulous LS lol. Good to see ya back.

At the moment we'll be staying on Balmung, which will remain the unofficial RP server. This is due to a large amount of people here already being on Balmung and being literally unable to transfer our characters to a new server at launch. While there are some RPers on other servers of course, many of the new RPers are joining us on Balmung, which I am totally thrilled to see! There will be plenty of new people on Balmung to play through things with, and loads of us here are willing to help people "catch up" if they want. I do hope you'll consider joining us there!

For some reason, what I am looking forward to most is the all the quests and missions we'll have. New lore to play with. And RP. I miss the RP sooo much.

Well, I certainly agree that a character is much more than their race as well, I've said those very words elsewhere before.. >> I think I'm weighing in on it all anyway though, I'm going to bed, so no matter. We agree on some parts, disagree on others. I'm glad Bea has found a race that she's more comfortable playing her character as and I know she's not alone in switching. Endemerrin has gone from Hyur to Miqo'te male, and so has a friend of mine, Gustav (who I still rage about!).
