So in this vein: How are Soulstones generated? They're rare obviously, else everyone and their grandmother would have one. But what makes a Soulstone? Does it naturally channel power for the people who wield it, or does it need to have imbued memories (thus making older stones more powerful?)? Soulstones seem to just appear out of thin air and we are unaware how limited or not their number are.

Not necessarily sexually attractive, but I've had issues with races where I couldn't bring myself to play them because of animations/clipping/looks that just bugged me. Sometimes it's something as basic as 'I can't get a skintone I enjoy'. There are many deciding factors when it comes to people playing a character, and for many outside RP it can be as simple as 'they look dumb'. The rule of cool influences quite a few when creating.

There may have been drama, but as of current the channel is simply fairly quiet with a few vocal people in there (myself being one of them). Whatever happened in the past, hopefully that is the past and we can use the Skype chat as it's meant: A resource for people to perhaps garner RP and have general discussions regarding FF14 hopefully. I've offered to help Moderate the chat so if someone has any issue with anything feel free to nudge me here or on Skype! This should be a good resource for any RPer in the game to use, and not a negative outlet.

You can disable notifications so that it doesn't explode your phone Once you join go to Conversation > Notification Settings > Do Not Notify Me. You'll still get the orange indicator that the conversation has something new, but won't get insane beeping from people talking.

Events can be overwhelming, and finding people within them to actually RP with is a daunting task without the fact that chat-scroll makes it near impossible to keep up. Events would be one of the few times where not being passive and poking people OOCly is a big way into some interesting RP in a context you don't normally get from taverns. Just be persistent and remember: They're not ignoring you because they don't like you, it's because they simply didn't see you. Don't be afraid to try and get noticed.

It's like a mix of them not being naturally appealing/first go to race for many, some RP stigma that tends to be associated with taller muscular ladies, and perhaps a lack of lore/odd naming. I know for me I nearly gave up playing my Au Ra until I just got more flexible on the name because I couldn't find anything I liked. Everyone will have their reasons but while Roes stand out dramatically on a physical level, they are almost an unapproachable unicorn for many. We love seeing them, but not playing them.

When I updated my machine to Win 10 I had a problem where despite my account being an administrator all my files were locked away from me. After trying work around solutions to set my account to administrator for those folders (Including game installations) it ended with the system going corrupt and me having to do a clean install of my old Win 7. Windows 10 has left me with a decided sour taste in my mouth after that experience, hope others end up with a smoother installation.

Weigh what matters to you. Is it thematics? Efficiency? Are you world first clearing Savage or are you casually playing with friends? I'm minmax through and through but Dark Knight just works for what I want to do. Today's second best will be tomorrow's OP with the way MMO cycles go, as long as you have fun doing what you do with your job and don't feel gratuitously under powered then chill and let the haters hate.

Keep throwing events! Even if not that many showed, roleplay will always want for people willing to coordinate stuff, so hopefully the next is even better :-)

I'm using Dark Knight more representatively of void magic because it's the closest we have to it among the jobs. If I could rock out as a dark mage DPS class you bet your sock monkey I would, but until then I'm a melee caster with a sword.

I tend to use quotation marks for any spoken dialogue because to me it's writing and that's what you do for writing. I find it difficult to cram action and dialogue together since they're so often separated, but for the sake of not spamming multiple times I've broken that habit.
