1. Some of the Best screenshots from the assassin show-down event. My goon duo just could not stay completely IC  That is indeed Cris OOCly throwing a snowball at Yvelont. You can't get more ready-looking than these three. Aero, Kiht and Saehri. Kiht checking up on Saehri. Both Keepers sporting war paint. My rolls were bad which made my character have trouble with her assassin foe. Fortunately, the assassin was finished off when Enju came to her aid. Shot of the whole group. Once our numbers dwindled down to 14 that is.
2. REMINDER! The big event starts today at 2pm PST. I will announce the location for meeting and stuff when it is time. Just have the LS channel open. I will be on around 1pm PST to set everything up, and answer questions. This has been a long time coming. Lets have fun.
3. You can do that?! Or did you have to remake them from scratch? OMG Crisnette is pretty.
4. I once waited three real-life weeks to upgrade Kiht's IC weapon from an old Feathered Harpoon to a Yarzonshell Harpoon because I wanted S'janna Rahz to ICly make it for me. The difference in our time zones and play times made it really hard to meet up, and I almost gave up on the idea, but we finally were able to meet. And she crafted an HQ one for me. The weapon wasn't expensive on the markets. I could have easily spent the 4k for an HQ one. But, no. I resisted the urge to buy the thing for three weeks because I wanted an IC Miqo'te weapon crafter to make it. I wanted there to be meaning behind my IC weapon. While Kiht now has several IC weapons she uses in RP, I still have a few RP gear-sets with that purple Yarzonshell Harpoon. If you ever see me with it, examine me, and look at the stats of my weapon. At the very bottom you'll see the name of the character that crafted the weapon. S'janna Rahz
5. Wait! I can explain! I mean, I don't need to explain..... My friend and I are just having a masquerade party...... In the middle of the Twelveswood.
6. Thank you. Kujh and Luc'a were great as usual. However, I could certainly take on more students, and would like to. Three others were going to show up, but did not. Oh well.... Made the Doodle for next week. I am loving this too much to stop. http://doodle.com/qs83nfna2rv674t8 Times are in PST/PDT. Legolus, Star Lin, no worries. Just sign up for the next one. I would love to have you two!
7. Kiht and Byron had made it to Fallgourd Float. However, the small establishment was easy to search, and it was quickly made obvious that Lucinne wasn't there. Fortunately, asking the tavern-keep at the Bobbing Cork yielded useful information. “Lucinne, you ask? Well, someone else was asking about her earlier too. An Elezen man.” “Where is she now?!” Kiht asked in a urgent tone, as she realized the Elezen asking about her may have been an assassin. “Well, she lives in Hyrstmill for now. That's where she takes care of new refugees and such.” The Tavern-keep said in a confused tone. He clearly did not understand why the situation was so urgent. “My gratitude!” Kiht said as she quickly hurried away with Byron. The situation was bad. Either a new refugee from Ishgard was asking where to find her, or an assassin was. Either way, it could lead to her being in great danger. Kiht would bolt out through the gate and into the forest. She hoped Byron was right with her and keeping pace. As much as she realized that running the whole way from Fallgourd to Hyrstmill would quickly wear them out, it would not matter how much energy they had if they did not make it to Lucinne in time. They had to hurry. It wasn't long until they started to enter Banemite territory. The huge vilekin were very aggressive, but easy for a wary traveler to spot. However, Kiht and Byron were not being as wary as they could be. They would be running, and not making an effort to stay hidden for obvious reasons. Kiht just had to hope that they didn't stumble across any Banemites. If they did, they would have to possibly detour, and could not afford that delay. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- “You little fool! Be careful! Do you have any idea where we are?” The Sun-seeker Miqo'te woman said to the Lalafell in front of her, as she sat on a boulder in the midst of North Shroud. She was dark-skinned with blueish hair. A small scar was easily noticeable on her nose. She wore light leathers, and a militia harness. She had a short-bow, quiver of arrows and various daggers and knives sheathed on different parts of her garb. She stared at her Lalafell companion with furrowed brows. “We are in a place of trees and rain. I fear none of that! Do not talk to me like I'm a child!” The Dunefolk snapped back to the Seeker woman. He was gruff-looking for a Lalafell. He had a thick goatee, and a misshapen nose that looked as if someone had hit it with a hammer countless times throughout his life. He wore a weathered black robe, and had a silvery metallic scepter holstered on his belt. The Seeker let out a low growl. “This wilderness is dangerous, if you do not respect it, you will be consumed by it.” She retorted in a grim tone. “Bah!” He responded with a dismissive wave of his hand as he surveyed their surroundings. “Just keep your Seeker eyes peeled for the Hyur in the cloak, and the Moon-keeper leader.” “Tssssk!” She responded in a hiss-like manner. She stood from her seat on the boulder, and slowly walked ahead of the Lalafell while looking off into the distance. Her walk was smooth and fluid. Her hips swayed easily as she moved. She was a very concise woman; every move she made was practiced and controlled. “I overheard them saying they were going to Fallgourd. Our best chance to intercept them is to wait until them come back out into the forest.” She said in a calm, confident tone. Then she looked to the Lalafell with a wicked smirk. “The Keeper is mine.” ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kiht and Byron would arrive at a part of the road that was not far from a small bridge. On both sides of the road were numerous trees and brush that lined low, hill-like inclines. The Sun was just beginning to set, but it was still easily bright enough for non-Keepers to see just fine. For some reason, Kiht came to a sudden stop. She breathed heavily, but was not yet exhausted. She began sniffing the air and looking around. Some kind of glint reflected sunlight on her sensitive eyes, so she was now investigating. “Hold” She said to Byron in a quiet tone. Her eyes narrowed in on some kind of silvery sheen near a bush. If Byron followed her gaze, he might see it as well. “Byron! Take Cover!” She suddenly shouted, and jumped back. However, she was partially too late. The robed Lalafell stepped out from his hiding spot and casts a bolt of lightning at Kiht. Her reflexes allowed her to jump back before he managed the cast, but the bolt still struck her in the left leg. Her leg-guards were mostly leather, but the few metal parts allowed some conduction. Kiht's leg locked up then she fell onto her back. The Seeker scowled at her Lalafell companion. She said nothing, but her expression made it clear what he had done wrong. Besides the fact that he didn't hide his scepter very well, he attacked first which was supposed to be her job. Her bow can fire faster than he can channel and cast a spell. Also, she claimed the Keeper as -her- target. The Lalafell shot a glance over to her. “What? She saw me so I had to act!” He then looked over to Byron and Kiht. “Quick, she is down anyroad! Attack them!” He shouted as he prepared to cast another spell. The Seeker continued to scowl, but prepared an arrow. This was turning sloppy because of the Lalafell. She did not like sloppy fights. Quick, clean and efficient kills; like a huntress taking down prey. That is how she performed. The Lalafell obviously had a different style. And her reaction time? What a mess, she thought. She was so upset at him that her anger was making it harder to focus. His actions would slow her down by an extra second! Unbelievable! She would then prepare to fire her arrow with the intention of aiming it right at Kiht. Byron had little time to make his move, but more than otherwise because of the sloppy execution of their ambush.
8. Me too. The look on his face is creepy...... As if you made your Roe to stalk Cris's Roe..... Which you probably did.....
9. When Kiht is alone, she tries to fly...... :dodgy: O_O Just a neat shot. Two members of my Linkshell Goonsquad. An awesome scene with a bittersweet ending. Victory at a high cost.
10. True. The ONLY Miqo'te NPC in Coerthas is an adventurer. Because Coerthas is accessible, and the Order of the Twin Adder does operate there as well, it is possible that some Miqo'te might call the place home.... If they had a semi-crazy reason for doing so  I'd see it more likely for Keepers of the Moon because of the Twin Adder, and the stone of Menphina being there. But I would call Ishgard a big stretch. They are very xenophobic. Very pro-Elezen. Which makes my character leading a group of their exiles a big hilarious slap in the face of the city-state.
11. UPDATE! For the combat system in the next event we will be using rolz.org Combat rolls: All characters who partake in combat will use this roll system. This applies to Melee, archers and offensive casters. 1D20 1-5: Absolute fail. Character is heavily injured and downed. Character needs aid to be able to get back into the fight. 6-10: Partial fail. Character takes single injury; fight continues into next roll. Two rolls like this will result in being downed. 11-15: Partial success. Character injures the assassin, but the fight continues into the next roll. Two rolls like this will result in the assassin being killed, or incapacitated. 16-20: Absolute success. Character deals heavy blow to the assassin. The assassin is killed or incapacitated. Support Rolls: Healers and support characters will use this either exclusively, or in addition to the combat rolls. Healing/Rezzing. If in combat 1D20 1-10: Spell fails, assassin interrupts it. 11-20: Spell succeeds, single character is rezzed or injury is healed. Self-healing follows the same rules. Downed Healers can not self-rez. Only one character can be healed/rezzed in each roll. This includes self. Protective Spells. If in combat. 1D20 1-10: Spell fails, assassin interrupts it. 11-20: Spell succeeds, character is protected/stone-skinned/ect. Protected characters who roll 1-5 will be injured instead of downed. 6-10 will result in the assassin's attack being deflected; the fight will continue into next roll. Rolls above 10 have the same effect as usual. A healer/support character can only do either one heal/rez, OR one protective spell per roll. Again, only one character can be protected per roll. Protective spells only last one roll. If the healer/support character is not in combat, their spells will have a 100% success rate and will not require a roll. They are still limited to healing OR protecting one character per roll phase. Characters who can fight, and heal/support will roll one combat roll then one heal/support roll per phase. Any character not in combat during a phase will forgo a combat roll. Outnumbered Combat Rolls! Any character taking on two assassins at a time will use these altered combat rolls. 1D20 1-10: Absolute Fail. 11-15: No one is injured; fight continues. 16-20: Injure one assassin; fight continues. Two rolls like this downs one assassin. This instance can only occur if a character who was fighting an assassin is downed, and is not rezzed in the following roll phase; thus, causing their assassin foe to seek a new target. “Trump Card” Characters! Special NPCed characters who can only be used once during the whole battle. So far, we have Pyralis Targaryen and Hahs'to Jakkya. They can't OOCly be available for this, so they gave me permission to use their characters as trump cards. More may be added later if anyone who can't OOCly show up offers it. Pyralis can shoot an arrow to save someone from the consequences of a fail roll, and in turn, cause one injury to their assassin foe. If the one who uses his card is a healer/supporter, their heal/support spell for that phase will have a 100% chance of success. He will then disappear into the forest to find a tavern, or something. Hahs'to is a pugilist. He can be used to occupy an assassin for one roll phase. This can allow a healer/supporter to have 100% spells success during that phase, or be used to help any character who has to take on two assassins at once. After his use phase, he will be knocked out. I am so glad he doesn't ever come to the RPC site In order to use a "trump card" character, you need to OOCly ask me during the event. I will likely allow it, I just want to make sure they don't get used for something silly. Trump Card Abilities! As a special way of allowing everyone a bit of customization based on their character's unique skills, everyone can choose a single trump card ability that their character can use once. The ability can grant a simple effect. For example, Kiht's will be a harpoon throw. She can throw it to injure and interrupt an assassin that is attacking another character. This ability can only be used once during the whole event. Everyone can make one of these for their characters, but I only ask that you keep it limited in effect, and relatively believable. Anyone who wants to run a trump card ability by me, may do so. I know most of your characters pretty well, so I can help you choose one if needed. Some may wonder what Xydane will be doing. I figure that he would like to play out the scene where his character goes one-on-one against the assassin leader. He will -not- have to use the roll system in that one vs one fight. His knights, however, will be able take part in our fights as long as they are used sorta like trump cards. In this case, Xydane will be in control of what they do, and when to use them. If at any point, he wishes for his main man to join the fight against enemies other than the leader, he will use the roll system with us. I know this may seem like a lot to remember, but I will go over it again when we start the event on Sunday. I will also GM/DM the event, so I will keep track of everything. I will also decide which assassins attack who. Also, the system may seem to give us a towering advantage, but do keep in mind that there will be things occurring that none of you would likely expect. If we win, everyone will likely be grateful for the "trump cards". If there are any questions about anything, or suggested changes to the combat system, let me know on this thread or send me a PM. The event is Sunday, the 18th, starting at 2:00pm PST. <----------------- ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I will be on at 1:00pm PST to do preliminary stuff. There may be chatter on the LS at that time, but nothing super important. I ask that everyone starts preparing at 1:30pm; I would like to start at 2:00 sharp. The event may take a while.
12. Firstly, welcome to the community Secondly, in order to get involved in heavy plots, your character either needs to have reason to, or have connections. For example, being from Ishgard could get you into the Ishgard plot I run. OR, ICly knowing an ex-Ishgard character could get you involved. I am not saying you should do this, I am just using it as an example. There are several plots happening right now. A Garlean one, Free Company ones, several in Ul'dah involving political warfare (I think), and maybe even one starting in Gridania soon. That "less-exciting" RP you do establishes connections that could eventually lead to getting involved in a plot. Or, you need to learn the lore and weave together a back-story that will fit with a plot of interest. As for what you have listed so far in your link, I can recommend one thing. My Lancer lessons My character gives Lancer lessons once a week in Gridania. Unless your character is already a graduate of the Lancer's guild, you could attend and learn alongside Kiht's other students. There will be some action through training, and field exercises. Who knows, you may even meet characters who will get your character involved in plots.
13. Well I checked the doodle and the three that voted chose Thursday. So, the next Lancer lesson will be held Thursday, the 15th at 6pm PST. All are welcome to come even if you have not signed up! Three students are confirmed, but there is likely going to be a fourth as well. I can easily accommodate more. Meet at the Lancer's Guild in Gridania. We may or may not find a different location to train after the lesson starts. If you arrive at the guild and no one is there, send a tell to Kiht Jakkya. I will tell you where we re-located. Feel free to bring your favored pole-arm weapon.
14. “Byron, I found your mother!” Kiht didn't stop to think that her words might give the young man a heart attack. Finally, after searching for so long, Kiht Jakkya found out where Lucinne Mercer was! The woman had been on the very first “target list” that the Ishgard exiles had been shown by Xydane Vale. This list was a list of the assassins' primary targets. Naturally, to the young man who left his post in Coerthas just to find his exiled mother, that was a frightening prospect. “We must needs set out now!” How Kiht met Byron was a long story, and unimportant. Byron Mercer was a young Dragoon-in-training that stepped away from his station to find his exiled mother and discover his heritage. At least, that is what Kiht was lead to believe. He had only planned to be in Gridania on temporary leave. He would only stay long enough to meet his mother. However, things got complicated. Kiht had heard of the woman, but could not find her. She was either already dead, or well-hidden. Kiht feared that Byron might be on the brink of just giving up, and returning to Coerthas. The young man's spirit still seemed to burn with the love of his homeland. Thank Nymeia that Kiht had found Lucinne Mercer. However, Lucinne was in grave danger. The hapless woman was spotted at Fallgourd Float! One could not get much closer to Coerthas than that. The Faces of Mercy were also known, by the few who knew of them, to monitor the passage between North Shroud and Coerthas. They would have agents there even if they were not hunting exiles. If rumor of Lucinne's refugee aid efforts had reached Kiht, then they had likely reached the assassins as well. Kiht and Byron had to leave to rescue the woman, and they had to leave immediately. There was no time to summon the aid of other exiles. As soon as Byron and Kiht could gear-up, they would set out. Kiht strapped on her leathers, and fine mythril chain-mail. She put on her pot-helm and grabbed her short-bow, a quiver of arrows and her heart guisarme. She was readying for battle this time. As much as she loved her trusty harpoons, she needed the elaborate two-pronged pole-arm if she was going to possibly take on assassins. Beyond that, she had her assortment knives sheathed on different sections of her body. If she added anything more, she would be a walking weapon rack. After seeing Byron's reactions, and gearing up with him. She would finally tell him where they were going. “She was last seen at Fallgourd Float. We might have to protect her when we find her, be ready for battle.” Kiht said as she checked the integrity of her arrows, and the condition of her Elm Velocity bow. She would look to Byron with a steely gaze once he finished preparing, and ask him one question. “Are you ready?”
15. Unless my FC decides to suddenly throw an event, I -will- be there
16. Kiht Jakkya sat on a stump in Greentear where her family use to make camp. Her head was bowed as she looked to a mythril tiara that was held in her hands. No one had ever asked her what the tiara was for. She had met countless exiles while wearing it. She had attended several meetings while wearing it. No one ever asked her why she, as a lancer, would wear such a thing. That was fine with Kiht. She knew what it meant, and that was all that mattered. It was a Matriarch's tiara. Passed down from Kiht's mother to her older sister then to Kiht. It was supposed to be a reminder to Kiht that she had taken on the responsibility of leading. "Where had it all gone wrong?" She thought to herself. She never expected Erik to listen to her. The man was use to having authority, and Kiht had no military rank for him to respect. She was just a civilian to him. Gods knows why he even followed any of her plans. She had a great respect for the man, and had hoped to earn his, but him leaving without saying a word to her was proof that her authority with the man was zero. Kiht was suddenly cut off from the Immortal Flames, The Red Wings and her spy network in Ul'dah. A huge advantage just suddenly cut away. Thomys seemed to have no interest in informing Kiht about anything. His only interest was finding Erik, and that connection that motivated his aid ended with the letter he would get from Erik. She had no idea what kind of authority the man had, if any, but she now had no aid from Ul'dah. She had no idea if going there would get her arrested by the Immortal Flames. She certainly wouldn't ask Thomys. "As if the Gods damned assassins would have the same restriction!?" She said to herself as she gritted her teeth. "The idiot Hyur with the mask has just given the assassins an advantage in Ul'dah, and he does not even know it!" Kiht's allies were melting away as the Exiles approached a battle that would decide everything. "I need people to believe in me. What must I do?" She asked herself in a frustrated growl. Kiht succeeded in raising a small army of exiles where a grizzled, expatriate veteran from Ishgard had failed. She united them right under the assassins' noses, and they did not suspect her until it was too late. She faced off against mercenaries, stood up to the Sultansworn, negotiated (or tried to) with a dangerous leader of the mercenaries, tracked down the untraceable and fought side-by-side with the exiles as they faced the assassins for the first time. Despite all this, she felt many did not have faith in her. She yelled as she stood up, and hurled her tiara into a near-by tree. Eight suns until she had to enact a plan with a small army that was losing numbers by the sun. "Mayhaps it was somehow all my fault" she wondered. She was the leader, so failure was her responsibility. However, if everything that had happened was her fault, what did she do wrong? What did she need to do to amend it? She turned around and kicked the stump in frustration. Fortunately her leather leg guards prevented her from breaking any toes. She marched to where her tiara laid, and picked it up. After dusting the tiara off, she put it back on her head. She chose to be leader, and chose to give the exiles a chance. If they wanted to go down in flames, she would go down with them. She has eight Suns to set as much straight as she could. After that, the Twelve will decide. For now, she had business to attend to at the gate of Hells. "Goddesses of ice, please guide me." ((BTW if you want Merri to develop a magitek device to track the linkpearls Osric gave to Kiht and Xydane, I am fine with that if Xydane is. Not sure if it's necessary anymore, but if you were wondering, there's your answer.))
17. That was a lot of fun! Thank you for bringing Luc'a too. The dynamic between the two men was very well done, and hilarious at times. I already have the new doodle for the next lesson made. I invite anyone and everyone. Even if you aren't a Lancer, you can watch http://doodle.com/ypfviuag7mytc3np A curious Lalafell scholar came to the previous lesson, and said he was sent by the Twin Adder to oversee, and act as a healer if needed. He watched for quite a while. Another mysterious stranger watched from the guild porch. I would prefer more students, but anyone who wants to come to the lessons and interact as a background character is free to do so as long as they aren't being disruptive.
18. I'll find you Aya. Regardless of any overly-irritable Immortal Flames. Some of the funnest parts of this plot were when the Exiles interacted in mass-RP events. The Ul'dah Ball, and the Coffer and Coffin event were a blast to attend with the Exiles. Our plot even thickened because of what happened at the Ul'dah Ball. I want to do that more. We are so good at our secret meetings, that we hardly get any RP with the world around us unless we are alone, and searching for it. Aya, I actually have a good idea for you. A way you can get involved without getting dragged into events. It's nothing major, but has potential. Kiht will discuss it with you. I also wanted to post this again to help ensure that everyone in the plot sees it, and signs up. Everyone who can attend this event, please do. This is an important, plot-defining and major event. http://doodle.com/m5tptd2nbgna6mkf ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
19. Alright! First Lancer Lessons will be tomorrow, the 8th, starting at 4pm PST. Anyone who wants to attend at that time, please meet at the Lancer's guild. Even if you haven't signed up, you can still attend. There are no requirements for this first lesson. Just be there.
20. A male Miqo'te wearing an ash mask approaches Quarrymill, and finds the specified Lalafell who is so distinct that he could not possibly be mistaken for someone else. He hands the Lalafell a rolled-up parchment, and says one thing. "Response from Kiht." The Miqo'te walks off without another word. Once the parchment was opened, it would read as follows. To the unnamed Merchant, I bid you greeting. I am sorry to hear about the wrongs that Pyralis has caused, but I must tell you that your information is out of date. Pyralis is no longer a member of the group I lead. He was uncontrollable, and did not respect my leadership. I can not give you a man I do not have any authority over. If you want him found, and are as wealthy as you claim, I suggest a bounty hunter. It should not be very difficult to find a silver-haired Bard, who has a hobby of tavern visitation. However, because you were so polite with your words, I will tell you what I know. I last heard that Pyralis was being held at the Vylbrand Academy. Mayhaps you should speak with them about giving him to you? But, you already did that, did you not? You see, I have my sources as well. I suppose they did not give him to you, did they? That likely made you upset which apparently, is not a wise choice, I hear. Well, that must make them your enemies then? That causes me to worry for them. I worry that a huge academy legally sanctioned by Limsa Lominsa with countless trained disciples of war and magic is now in danger because you are upset at them. I worry that their immense wealth that is brought in by their classes and traders will not be enough to support them in any conflicts they get into with you, and your guards. After all, I have only seen one of their graduates take down a Dragoon in single combat. Another one of their graduates healed and protected a group of fighters who were in battle with elite assassins. This is obviously not enough skill to combat any of your mighty thugs you send at them. Also, if anyone from their Academy were harmed, I would be quite upset as well. I would be so upset that I might not be able to control my actions or the actions of the Exiled Order. You see, I lead a group of very empathic people. Especially this Elezen with blonde hair. He is especially empathic. It is likely that us being upset at you will make you upset at us. Then you will be upset at the massive academy, the Exiled Order, and the clan that I belong to. The Clan I belong to may train their hunters and huntresses to fight these monstrous Seedkin called Morbols just be to considered adults, but I still worry for them because it is likely that these monstrous Morbols still do not compare to your mighty thugs. Mayhaps I can make a suggestion? Do not be so upset at everything. That will make you stressed, and stress will shorten your life. Take up a hobby that will relax you, put aside the criminal activity for a while and stop being a shite-eating, thrice-damned bastard! Sincerely. -Swive Off.
21. Jace, once you get this group of yours worked out, and set up, I have a group that could be opposition for yours. And for those who know of me, NO I am not speaking of the Exiles. It is the IC FC I'm in that I am talking about. It wouldn't really be like criminals VS law enforcement, but more like a clash of ideals and philosophies that could lead to conflict between an organization, and your group. Yes, I know that kinda sounds like Criminal VS Law-enforcement, but it won't be quite that simple. I will clarify and elaborate further if you are interested. Either let me know on this thread, or send me a PM, and I will get back to you.
22. It could draw their attention, depending on Aya's history. Our rag-tag group of misfits come from many backgrounds, but I believe all of the exiles have something in their pasts that would cause them to be targeted by these agents. In Yvelont's case, he was a knight and dragoon who quite blatantly deserted at a time of war in pursuit of a certain personal vendetta in connection to the Dravanians. There are others currently involved who have no direct ties to Ishgard, but have become involved by association, for better or worse. In any case, I think we'd be happy to have you join in RP, in any capacity! Speaking for myself, I'm always up for an informal IC meeting. Yvelont is correct, we can fit you in. Either the "Faces of Mercy" are after you because you left Ishgard, or maybe after someone your character cares about? Or maybe they aren't, but Kiht thinks they will be, and tracks you down. She is constantly looking for exiles. Regardless, if you can't make any of the events, you may not find much Ishgard RP happening because the events is where a lot of the plot-defining RP happens, mostly. That won't stop me from adding you to the LS, nor would it stop me from RPing with you. However, the Exiles do not walk around as a big ol group. Unless something plot-related happens with your character, you will likely not meet many of the Exiles outside the events. I am not trying to discourage you at all, I am just letting you know how everything is working right now. We are also nearing the end of "chapter one", but the plot will be wide open for more to be involved in "chapter two". If you are still interested, I will find you in-game. Why didn't you tell me at the meeting with Xydane? I know RL happens, but your character is supposed to be involved in this one. We could have rescheduled the event. Well, I hope you'll be able to come up with an IC reason for why Pyralis isn't there when we fight for our lives against the assassins. :frustrated:
23. UPDATE http://doodle.com/m5tptd2nbgna6mkf This is it. Another major event in the plot. Even if things do not go as expected, a lot will be determined here. We made it happen in two weeks to give everyone time to hopefully clear their schedules for this. All combat-capable characters please vote your availability. It is all on one day, Sunday the 18th. Only a time needs to be chosen. Non-combat characters, do not fret. There is a lot that needs to be done to prepare. I will contact you to let you all know how you can still participate. Any questions, comments or concerns, PM me or post on this thread.
24. There is a possibility that the survival techniques Kiht knows of depend on the use of the spear, or are someway still LNC-related. However it does not depend to me, it's her chosen disciples, so the answer will ultimately be hers. I can however see of how every disciple that involves being in the wilderness would give survival suggestions, so I wouldn't worry about missing them just because of what class you belong to. Also, as I've told to someone via PM, I want to clarify for everyone here: this RP has absolutely no IG requirement. If you want to partcipate to weaving classes but can't unlock weaver yet, you can still do so, and simply RP using tools via /emotes. Sure, these events are a good way to get some classes up, but it is in no way mandatory. Lastly, someone offered for a First Aid faculty, which seems to be generic and non dependant on classes. You could start by signing up for that one once the schedule is up! AS much as I'd like to teach Wilderness survival and Lancer skills separately, I don't have time for that. Also, the skills she teaches in Wilderness survival will mostly be centered around Lance-users. However, Archers, Conjurers and Botanists would also need to learn wilderness survival, so that might be incorporated into those classes as well, I would think. Regardless, I do have one condition for my lessons. As much as I understand putting no IG requirements for the lessons, I must disagree partially when it comes to my lessons. We will be doing field exercises down the line, and I do not want to pretend someone is using a lance when they are doing tests. IF you have the ability to unlock the Lancer class, you should do so, and be at least a lvl 1 Lancer. If you do not yet have the ability to unlock the Lancer class because your character is uber new, I will make an exception on the the promise that you plan to unlock the Lancer class in the near future. You will never have to level the lancer class if you don't want to. You can be a lvl 1 Lancer forever for all I care. I make this requirement because I do not want anything like a lvl 50 Warrior in AF Armor walking up to the lesson saying "Pretend I have a wicked-cool Lance!". Sorry, nope. If the unwillingness to be the Lancer class during the lessons has to do with limited outfit options, then I am fine with people being any class and wearing any "reasonable" outfit during lectures and demonstrations. But, once training, exercises and tests start, put on your Lancer gear. Anyone who needs help leveling enough to unlock the Lancer class, ask me. I won't hesitate to help when I have time.
25. Posters throughout the taverns, and settlements of Eorzea can be found with the letter below written on them. Fellow Eorzeans! Do you want to be an adventurer? Mayhaps you wish to join one of Eorzea's Grand Companies? Or mayhap you just want to learn an art of self-defense? The Lancer's Guild is open for recruitment! This time-honored art of war has foundations in many cultures, and has withstood the test of time. From hunters of yore, to heroes of legend, the lance has served the races of Eorzea, and beyond since the dawn of civilization. With adventurer numbers on the rise, graduates of the guild have been commissioned to return to the guild to provide instruction, and testing in the ways of the Lance! Whether you are young or old, novice or intermediate, you are welcome to come, and attend classes for nothing but the sighing up and acceptance of Guild Master Ywain! Be able-bodied, and bring a fine lance if you have one. If you do not have a Lance, one will be provided for you. However, supplies are limited. Well that was fun to write Anyways, Kiht Jakkya, graduate of the Lancer's guild is holding a class on ONE of the dates and times listed in this link. Please put in your name and vote your availability. I will do the class on the day/time where most will be available. http://doodle.com/qn5f8pshbwpuc2bp BTW, this is a great tool for any instructors who want to use it to make their schedules. No annoying adds, and no sign-up required. The times I choose are two-hour time slots, and in the PST time zone. We may or may not take up the whole two hours. Sorry if the times I picked suck for EU players I live all the way over on the West Coast of the US. Maybe some other Lancer instructors will step forward to offer classes at different times?
