1. I play at odd hours sometimes, so maybe I might play during some of the EU times. Regardless, I would love to join an Twin Adders LS or something for Frontlines. Strategy and cooperation is key. 9 times out of 10, the Adders win if they are communicating and cooperating.
2. Go Adders! I find that the Adders loose as much as they win when I play. I was afraid Dragoons might not be so good in Frontlines, but now that I've learned a few tricks, I must say I enjoy being a Dragoon and scaring the hell out of everyone except tanks. I love hunting Blackmages They are so squishy. I just squish dem. It's always hilarious when the Monks try to take me on. They are like angry monkeys. But Bards, I hate Bards! It's like trying to play tag with someone who is flinging arrows at you. I find that tanks get cocky because they are so hard to kill. I had a Paladin take me on right after I had to take down a fellow Dragoon. He probably thought that there was no way a Derpgoon could kill him in a one-on-one fight. I stunned him then LBed him That took him down flat. It was probably not the best use of an LB but it felt soooo good using it to kill a tank. "Oh, I thought you wanted me to LB? That's usually all I am considered good for, right?". Sweet vengeance. Yes, I admit, this post was a bit crazy.
3. I wanted to give a big ol Kudos to Askier, Kahn'a and Alexi for their time last night. I don't want to give out any spoilers, but it was fun. You also indulged my random timing, so I thank you guys very very much.
4. I practice Archery and Nature Photography. Don't worry, I don't do them both at the same time.
5. This^^^^ Also, some people are getting awfully technical about the consequences that they think our characters should suffer, and sound like they expect us to adhere to it. I would like to state something that is obvious, but not being regarded. No one can OOCly force me or anyone else to do anything. End of story. Anyone can ICly do what they want, but if someone shuns me because my character is not being punished the way they think my character should be, they will get the same treatment. Not only from me, but from my friends, and my contacts. And this person who is shunning me will tell their friends and contacts. Then the whole community will have a big ol shun-fest. How about we just decide how our characters will react, and stop being so worried about what other people should do with their characters. My character is by no means a villain, but even if she was, do you -really- want to make things OOCly hard for me? There is a reason why Askier has so few villains on his side of the plot. Without villains, who would heroes fight? IRL, the world could use less villains, but in a fictional world like this one, villains make being a hero fun. Stop reminding the "villains" that they need to face consequences. Everyone gets it now. No one here is an actual OOC villain. And can we please keep OOC and IC separate. I see many people claiming to be keeping them separate, but insulting each other for opinions, and stating things like "Your character is forfeit now" is unnecessary and definitely an OOC offense. We should discuss this stuff for fun in a collaborative story kind of way. We should encourage the villains, not threaten them with consequence like putting their characters in an IC prison for a few OOC months. Yes, they did a bad thing. However, they did it to -fake- people! No one's character, or NPC relative/friend needs to die or get poisoned if they don't want them to.
6. The scale and level of the crime does not matter when Kiht and a few others took no part in committing it. Just because there is a horrible thing done on a horrible scale does not mean everyone near the thing is guilty because they have a collar on. The collars are not the same as dumping poison into the water. Jin'li and anyone else who knew what he was doing, deserve to be punished. People who willingly fought for the Garleans deserve to be punished. Those who have the collar, but have -not- helped Jin'li in any way are not deserving of death just because there was an atrocity. If anything, those in Kiht's position are victims until they do something to actually aid Jin'li.
7. Before I try to make a point on something here, I need to do a little summary of certain events. This summary is full of RP story spoilers, but please bear with me as it is important to the point I will try to make.
8. Too bad Erik is not just teaching the way of the sword. If the becoming a Sultansworn wasn't required, I would have a student for you. So, yes, there is a place for mentors in the community. Kiht was even doing the mentor thing for awhile before she got into her current mess. And her mentor Yvelont, played by TheLastCandle, is basically my go-to source when I have to explain why Kiht is so awesome with the lance Anyways, I think Erik would be a great mentor.
9. Woo! Those are my peeps! From left to right: Khloe Jakkya (aka Mouse), Meyla Sarka (aka Green) and Atticus Buffalobane (aka.... Atti).
10. ((During the Enemy At The Gate event.)) A Forlorn Jakkya Kiht Jakkya woke that afternoon to find that Miah was gone. She knew about the battle that was supposed to happen, but she was Gods knows where. It did not matter, she preferred that Miah was not there. She had told Miah that she would not act rashly. It was one of the rare times when Kiht lied. She adorned her armor and leathers. She wrapped her bandana tight around her head. She slowly applied her war paint; the dark green of the Black Shroud. It was a reminder of what she was ultimately fighting for. She made her way to the Coffer and Coffin. At the tavern, she did not recognize any faces. Sure, she knew the man in the black armor was Osric. She saw the Hyur woman with the white hair named Kanaria. However, these were not the people she knew. After Kiht heard his words, she came to believe that Osric was a broken man. It filled her with sadness, but she had one final job. Unlike him, she would not bow to the Garleans just because they placed a collar on her neck. Explosive or not, she was going to do what she had originally planned to do, or she would die trying. When the groups began forming, she asked to join Osric's group. Her request was innocent, but her intentions were not. She had been acting like a grim statue the entire time; ignoring and blocking out most of the things being said and done. She had one mission now. She followed the group to Ul'dah, and watched absently as they set off the bomb near the wall. Even the massive explosion did not shake her grim resolve. When she lined up at the gate with the terrorists and traitors, her gaze drifted to Osric. Her hand slowly moved to the hunting knife on her belt. Before this group of forlorn individuals could hurt a single defender of Ul'dah, she and Osric would go to Hells together. She was relatively sure a hunting knife to the collar would set it off; Set them both off. However, something gave her pause. Something shook her from her grim trance. Out from the gate of Ul'dah was an expected sight; Erik Mynhier. Adorned in his Sultansworn armor, Kiht knew the brave man would be the first one out the gate. However, the small figure standing next to him was not who she expected..... Khloe Jakkya. Kiht's clumsy Thaumaturge cousin who had earned the nick-name "Mouse" during their childhood, was standing there beside a Sultansworn! Kiht's eyes went wide in shock and awe as tears welled in them. The Morbolvine Clan had found Kahn'a in time. They were there, and ready to help defend Ul'dah. When more defenders emerged from the gate, Kiht's breath was taken away. Sultansworn, Immortal Flames, Mercenaries and the Morbolvine Clan. They outnumbered the attackers. They were an impenetrable wall of saviors. Kiht had to struggle to keep her tears at bay. Hope was returning to her heart. There was no need for her to sabotage the terrorists now. Even if Kiht decided to fight, there would be little difference she could make. When the Garlean side charged, Kiht darted right for her cousin. Khloe bore an expression of utter confusion. Kiht swung her lance over Khloe's head; yelling "duck!" before doing so. As expected, her cousin hit the dirt. Even if she hadn't, Kiht would have intentionally missed. "I am tired cousin. -Tired-." Kiht said to Khloe as she smirked. Khloe climbed to her feet, and smirked at Kiht in return. She cast a sleep spell at Kiht, and Kiht grinned widely as she did nothing to avoid the spell. "I love you." Kiht said to Khloe before she collapsed onto the ground, and fell into a deep sleep.
11. Just wanted to thank the DMs for this first event. It was great. Despite the unfortunate circumstance my character is in, she was able to intentionally loose with the help of her cousin and FC mates. Kahn'a, thanks for getting them in on this. Askier, thanks for helping me with that little OOC dilemma. It actually worked out very nicely story-wise. I see why you were worried about the "bad guys" not being large enough in numbers. It was funny. The first two defenders out the gate were Erik and Khloe (Kiht's cousin). Was not what I expected. But once all the other defenders started emerging, it was made clear that Jin'li hadn't done quite enough collaring. I think the combat party I was in had a bit more chaos and confusion than the others, but they had fun and that was what mattered.
12. You want to be on Askiers side right? Not on him... See, now I'm confused. Askier is going to be playing Jin'li for this event, not Askier. Erik is an Ul'dah defender, so he can't mean being on Jin'li's side........... I also know Erik is not "into" Miqo'te men. However, he did mention that he is a "Two Sided Man." Or maybe he means hes going to attack Askier. But Askier is a "good guy" now. Jin'li is the one he needs to attack..... Someone halp me solve the Erik riddle! :frustrated:
13. *knocks on wood* Don't jynx it! Lol. Also tonight after work, will be posting an update/ scheduale for event tommorow. Hope everyone excited. As always, should there be any hiccups tommorow during event, please roll with them. We can't predict everything after all. Lol. Warning, DBZ Team Four Star Abridged spoilers.
14. To all current members of the LS: Kiht's linkpearl goes silent, but before it does, one word is spoken by her. One word that holds a lot more meaning than its dictionary definition. This word holds the weight of the future on it. All Exiles, even the ones who were otherwise occupied ((offline)) could hear it. "Fox..." Kiht's linkpearl deactivates. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New development. Until further notice, the Exiles are no longer recruiting. There is an IC problem. It should be a short problem, and recruitment should open back up in less than a week, but it may not be. I will keep everyone posted. To those that were waiting for recruitment, I am sorry, but I promise you will get in as soon as the IC issue is resolved...... If it is resolved.
15. I have nine months of pent up OOC anger for all the hate I get in PVE duties as a Dragoon. I plan to unleash it all in a flurry of destruction upon every player that gets in my way.... So yes, I plan to try it.
16. Awesome, so I will find you to discuss back-story with you as there needs to be an established back-story link with my character's family. The Jakkya family has a specific history, but we will fit you in however you like. The Morbolvine Clan's IC rules for trial is that your character must learn how to use the spear OR bow. However, those do not have to be your character's main class. If you want to be a MRD or PUG, we can say your character got training for those classes elsewhere. You will only have to level archer OR lancer to 8 to 15, and can do so at your own pace. As for magic users, they are rare for the Jakkya family. You did not know this, so I will make an exception if you really want to be a magic user. Magic users would be more common for Molkots. I guess we should specify more about our families back-story and practices on this thread  PS: I like the name.
17. Hello there! This is a link to our Linkshell Hall page. It should answer plenty of questions about how our Keeper group operates. If you would rather ask them directly, or need more details, ask on this thread or PM me. http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=7564 The -moment- you are ready to start playing him, let me know. I will get him in both OOCly and ICly As it sits right now, we got two new Polaalis' yesterday! The Molkots still have decent numbers. We could really use a couple Jakkyas to even things out. The Polaali family and Molkot family are definitely still open for recruitment though, and we would always be glad to have more. The linkshell hall page has a short bio for each family if anyone wants to see which family might catch their fancy.
18. Ok! Name slots for Mira Luna and M'ira Luna filled since I was a bit confused on which name your character has. You can transfer your character now. Please let me know when you do, so I can delete the two place-holder characters
19. I spent a lot of time thinking about this, and now I have come up with an equation that equals Kiht Jakkya! The voice, fury and passion of Mikasa Ackerman from Attack on Titan. The wisdom, leadership qualities and code of honor of Teyla Emmagan from Stargate Atlantis. The kindness, relentless compassion for friends and free spirit of Gon Freecss from Hunter X Hunter.
20. Once an Exile, always an Exile. You are welcome back Erik, and still on the LS roster. I look forward to RPing with you again.
21. For a female Keeper of the Moon: Mira, Mihra, Mirah, Mirha all work just fine. If you want to keep it Mira, that will fit fine. So, Mira Polaali is just fine for a Keeper of the Moon female. (Sorry for the repeats I just want to make it clear.) I do not think the restriction will prevent you from transferring. How it works is, the sever does not allow the creation of new characters during busy hours. However, I had no trouble transferring characters to Balmung the two times I did it.
22. Nature documentary narrator: "Deep in the forest, there lives a different kind of Dragon. While she may be flightless, she is an apex predator built for stealth and speed in the dense tree-filled wilderness. She is the Jakkdragon."
23. Yes, we could really use another Polaali (Be careful with that spelling, it is two 'a' not two 'o'). She is right about the restrictions right now, but I can promise to make the character to fill the slot tonight. I will post on this thread and PM you when I have made the character to fill the name slot of Mira Luna. After I have done so, transfer and change the surname, that is it. Once on Balmung, player search for Kiht Jakkya or Miah Polaali. Let us know when you have transferred, and I will player search you as well.
24. Just wanted to say that this is a great idea. I absolutely love it when RPers form Miqo'te groups. My character is part of a Keeper group, and our leader has been looking for other Miqo'te tribes/groups to trade and maybe some kind of cross-RP with. Regardless of whether or not you would be interested, I wish you success with this, and have to say it has even made me consider making a Lynx-tribe Seeker alt.
