Kiht use to have sooooo many biases that she would call people she just met by race and gander. People who have known Kiht the longest can remember that. However, her bias have changed, and she has become progressive for the most part (progressive compared to the ball of racism she use to be). She is wary of Midland Hyur males at first because of the fact that almost every one she has met is or has been DYSFUNCTIONAL. She loves Midland Hyur females though The few Highlanders she has met have been good people, and she has sympathy for their plight as refugees. She has not talked to enough Roegadyns to get a solid impression of them. Elezen are an example of a race she now has an opposite perception of. She use to dislike all Elezen, but a mentor and her time with the Ishgard Exiles turned her around. She has only met a couple Elezen who proved to be untrustworthy. She has only interacted with a few Lalafell, so not really much of an impression to be had there. When it comes to fellow Miqo'te, she will be very friendly at first. Keeper or Seeker; it does not matter. She is always open-minded when meeting a fellow Miqo'te. However, she has had the absolute worst encounters with Miqo'te who are more "urbanized". It is not the lack of tradition that bothers her, it is the fact that they all seem to condemn her for being traditional, and they all have turned to lives where they seem to be victimized or criminals. Kiht could write a book about the fellow Miqo'te who have left a sour taste in her mouth. However, she is -still- very friendly when she meets a fellow Miqo'te at first; unless they do something she considers suspicious. Kiht has major bias towards Ixal for many reasons, but really, who doesn't?

THIS is a great idea. Not only is my character a Keeper, but she is part of a Moon-keeper-based Free Company called the "Morbolvine Clan." I will try to invite, drag, kidnap and order any members of the company I can to come to this event with me. I would also be -very- willing to help you plan this event if you desire the help. Also, to touch on what has been said about interpretation, I think the event is still a good idea regardless. A sort of experiment to see if a gathering of Seekers and Keepers would be peaceful, hostile or mixed.

That is great. I would totally help advertise your lessons over the Twelveswood LS. You can also advertise on this thread, and even use doodle if you want. Speaking of that, if anyone who wants to be on the LS can't find me in-game, you can also player search for Yvelont Navarre or Crisiet Liatrojan Liatrokicks Liatronicx.... Just player search by first name.... They are LS officers, and can invite people too.

THIS^ I just do not like the use of fantasia ICly. If someone does use it ICly, it is not like I am going to refuse to RP with them; of course I won't refuse to RP with them. But my character will -not- accept the existence of fantasia ICly. To her, it is illusion magic, or if I have to, the character will be regarded as having always been the race/sex they were changed to. The only time I decided to ICly acknowledge race change was with Kage, and that was easy because he simply told Kiht he woke up in a strange place as a Miqo'te Kiht had her freak-out then it was done. Now when she finally sees that he is back to being a Lalafell, I hope he is prepared for freak-out number 2 :lol: In other words, I am in agreement that race change through some other crazy means, or mysterious circumstance is much better then someone chugging down a fantasia they bought from a random alchemist. And I am still hesitant to have Kiht accept race change in the future.

Hello! So I have seen countless directories and threads of late that are gathering and growing groups of RPers to maintain Ul'dah RP, and revive Limsa RP. It is really neat to see, and I think it is time to try that for Gridania. Compared to Ul'dah, the forest city seems quiet. However, RP in Gridania and the Twelveswood is certainly not dead, or I would have no RP myself, and I have plenty. It simply required searching out and helping to establish the few groups that RP in Gridania/Twelveswood/Lavender Beds. That is difficult, and can be discouraging for players. I wish to make it easier for those that are interested, and maybe help better establish RP focused in the Twelveswood. Directory. I made a directory for Gridania/Twelveswood characters. Kiht sits with the Dubious Masked Challenger Who is Definitely Not Verad as she watches the Grindstone Tournament. Kiht and Tapfoot over-watching the Morbolvine Clan Grounds. Kiht learned that Rinh'li's over-sized spear is not conducive to stealth mode... Miah and Kiht will rock you! OR jump on magi-tek motorcycles and ride off in style. Hard to tell at this point... Some shots of Morbolvine Clan trials. The graphics in the Black Shroud never cease to amaze. This is without SweetFX too.

I don't know what has been happening in your RP, but if you are a horribad RPer for having trouble separating some IC stuff from OOC, then I am horribad too. Take this thread for example, look at all the passionate responses from those that have admitted they love their characters. Ideally we as RPers know its best to keep IC and OOC seperate, but it is not always easy. It is like watching a fictional movie or reading a fictional book that makes you shed tears because of a sad scene. You know it is fiction but it still effects you, and that is normal. I highly doubt that you are a horrible RPer. Maybe you need a break, but I would follow most peoples' advice on this thread, and think real hard before killing Kage off. Personally, I was never set on killing Kiht off. I was only considering if I wanted to risk it because of the dangerous foe she may face. But I think I will use every out possible to prevent that from happening. The situation she is going into is not suicide, so there are many ways I can make sure she has "plot armor" for now.

" To assume I did not mean what I wrote in bold is quite the negative perception that I have done nothing to deserve. You seem to be slightly over-sensitive about this. For the record, I agree with you. People should not feel obligated to kill off characters they love. However, they should not lie, and say they would if that is how they feel. And no, before you make assumptions again, I am -not- saying that anyone on this thread has lied. THAT is why I wrote what I wrote. I have run into a lot of an antagonist characters that will not allow their character to suffer the consequences of their character's actions after they had originally said they would. I wanted to avoid hypocritical responses to my questions if at all possible.

Thank you all for the -excellent- responses so far. It seems like everyone was being totally honest with me, and I greatly appreciate it. I talked OOC with some friends, and found that it is just a touchy subject. :lol: That was rather presumptuous of me, but I said it for a reason. I apologize to everyone for that. I am not a RPer who has alts. I just can't seem to find the motivation to play anything else except my main. I can't think of a story I would find interesting enough to make me choose to play an alt instead of my main at any given time. However, I understand that many people are not like that. I just wanted to make sure that people were thinking of characters they actually care about before answering my questions. I respectfully ask that you do not try to read too deep into what you interpret as my tone, and certainly not try to attach words to it that I did -not- write. I was letting people know why I was conflicted in the most concise way I knew how without having to explain the whole context of my character's situation. I also wanted to avoid automatic responses that I have seen some people do without thinking through their answers. Perhaps the only thing I did wrong was fail to explain my feelings in the best way possible. However, that is difficult when I am conflicted about something. The only purpose of my OP was to get honest feedback from others, not tell people what my opinion is. If I had a set opinion on this topic, I would never have started this thread.

So this is another one of those "fun" threads where I ask about everyone's favorite topic; death! :lol: For the first time in my RP in this game, I am faced with a situation where I have to decide if I am willing to risk my one and only RP character dying in a conflict with another player character. To be clear, I am talking about her dying and staying dead. I am torn because I don't want to end her story yet, but I also want to be realistic. So, I figured it might help to see what other RPers think about perma-death of their main characters before the planned end of their story. Ideally, I see my character having an end to her story when I decide to leave the game. However, that may not be realistic. I know many of you have loads of alts, so the death of an alt really can't have the same impact. Anyone out there ever have their main character killed before the planned end of their story? I am not talking about a character dying then having been resurrected through "mumbo-jumbo" circumstances. I am asking about dying and staying dead. I have also seen countless players say that they would be willing to have their character die, but stop the scene at the final moment, and ask/choose a way out for their character. I do not ever look down on anyone for that, but I would appreciate if you all be honest with yourselves, and honest with me if you respond to this thread. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated.

New thread idea maybe? :evil: Anyways, Jin'li Epinoch was the closest any player-character ever came to killing Kiht. Though, that never seemed like it was his true intention with collaring her. It was more likely that her own zealous actions would have gotten herself blown up. However, that is the past. In the near future, the only character who may want to kill Kiht is a character named Austurmax. He is a cleaver and powerful Black Mage who Kiht despises because he occasionally torments her "Clanmates".

I am not too clear on what you mean by "Traditional-style RPG" since I Googled it and see nothing that defines that term. However, I will do my best. Kiht Jakkya (My character): A lancer; the party's Melee DPS. Knowing her, she may very well fall into a leadership role. Kiht would likely turn them into a group that fights for good causes. A special force to deal with great dangers. Yuna (Final Fantasy 10): Surprised no one has chosen her yet. She would be the party's healer, and her summonings could really come in handy. First impression might make Kiht doubt her at first. Kiht would probably think she is weak in the beginning. However, Yuna's bravery and faith would win Kiht over. Kiht would likely grow a lot of respect for Yuna. Alistair (Dragon Age: Origins): Not sure if DA:O constitutes a traditional-style RPG, but I don't see why not. He would be the party's tank. He may not be the most bad-ass character, but he is very much a type of character that Kiht would like. He is good, and sticks to a code of morals even to a fault. Kiht may find him a bit petty at times, but a few argument spats are likely all that will result. In the end, she would probably enjoy his humor and code of honor. Vincent Valentine (Final Fantasy 7): Every party needs a bad-ass, and he would be ours. I guess his abilities would fall under ranged DPS? His lone-wolf mentality and stoic/broody nature would make him the most difficult to integrate into the party teamwork. However, Kiht has worked with a few characters like him in the past with surprising success. She would work with him, and relentlessly try to make him feel like part of the team. She would not let his tragic past deter her. He would either come to hesitantly like Kiht, or get very annoyed with her. Merrill (Dragon Age 2): DA2 may step out of the realm of traditional-style RPG, so that is why I made her the fifth character. Just in case I am not allowed to count her in. If I can keep her, she would be the party's magic DPS. Merrill would look like an Elezen to Kiht, but she would quickly find that they both have a lot in common. Their cultures are somewhat similar, and their way of life would be very similar. While their beliefs would be different, Kiht would respect Merrill's traditions and faith. The only problem that might arise is Merrill's dangerous use of Blood Magic. Kiht would not like it, but also would know little about it. In the end, the two would probably end up spending hours telling stories to each other.

After you left, Sanja said "He is nice, but a bit odd". I think she's already got Askier pegged now. :lol: Feel free to plan future visits. I would offer you the invitation to drop by whenever, but that is a flip of the coin on whether you'll end up walking into a crazy/awkward situation.

I'm a bit torn for Kiht. For me, I can think of two things I would want, and would be satisfied just getting either. A: A more tribal-looking hair style. IMO, most female Miqo'te hairstyles look like schoolgirl or barbie hairstyles. I chose Kiht's current one because it looks like it was sloppily cut to neck-length, so it looks kinda wild. Why can't female Miqo'te have any braided hairstyles, or something with beads and other assorted ornaments mixed in? There is a braided hairstyle that male Miqo'te and female Elezen have... B: A belt that you can actually see on her, can be worn by all classes, and has Mythril hunting knife sheathed on it. It would come with an animation where she could draw and take a stance with the knife regardless of class. It would not have to be useable in actual game-mechanics combat, but that would be a bonus if it had at least one combat skill I could use with it.

Someone from the LS brought up that I should make an announcement to let people know what has happened. The Ishgard plot I ran is done. The old plot LS called "The Exiled Order" is also done unless someone wishes to take it over. Sometime ago, I created a second LS. The purpose of this second LS was to make a contact LS out of those who Kiht is still in contact with. This includes some still-active people from the old LS, and some trusted allies. It is not an Ishgard expatriate exclusive LS. It is an LS for allies that Kiht has made during the old plot. A support network for those still active, and those that showed interest in actually meeting other Ishgard exiles outside of a plot. I did not advertise this new LS because I plan to add people though RP in-game. This means that there are still some people from the old Exiled Order LS that Kiht has not added to the new LS because she has not been able to contact, or get a chance to meet with those characters. The new LS may or may not get involved in plots. I do not have anything planned, but I left it open for people on it to contact each other for aid if needed. This means there is the potential to get involved in eachother's plots. However, there are no Ishgard plots currently in motion on this LS. With that said, if anyone from the old Exiled Order LS wishes to join the new LS, please contact me in-game. I sincerely apologize to those who were added later in the plot, or more recently, and did not get a chance to participate in any story. I fully intended to continue the Ishgard Plot, but my mind drew a blank on it, and I got involved in too many other things. If anyone in the future wishes to plan an Ishgard plot, I would be happy to point you to all the Ishgard characters I know about. Maybe the plot did not continue on as long as I planned, but it did happen, and there was story to be had. Thank you all for helping me make it happen.
